It's that time of year again that we travel to Wyoming. On our road trip we stopped at this hotel by chance. What a gem ! The lady at the front desk gave us a great room with parking right outside. It's located right next to historic downtown which every history lover should visit. Breakfast was also great and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend
The price was super cheap. The beds were comfortable. the staff were friendly. the room were very good and were clean. I would stay here again. It was very quiet. We stayed here for two days. the only complaint that I have is that they need to do a better job at removing the snow. next to the path way to get to our room was a large pile of snow that we walked over.
I've used this hotel 3 times while driving to Denver. The late night front desk staff members are always helpful and cheerful. I travel with my dog Albert and he is always welcome too. The rooms are modest, but the price makes then a great value. And...everything is clean. Breakfast is better than many other hotels of this price. The location is great for a pet with a green space near the parking lot.
Nice to find a nice place at a nice price. Read some of the other reviews and I just don't get the bad ones. Guess they must have renovated. I give it two thumbs up. I travel for a living and don't leave many reviews but this one deserves it !!! Love our nice private balcony and clean nice room at a cheap cheap price. Found this place because of a snow storm forced me to get a room....
Friendly and helpful staff. I was allowed to check out one of the updated rooms on the first floor and they are looking good. New carpet, fresh paint, furniture will be updated, but it's in good shape. Our room on the second floor was clean, but needs overhauled. However, all these things are reflected in the current low price of the room. I suspect the rates will nearly double once all renovations and improvements are completed. Location is good from highway, but about 15 minute walk to the historical downtown area.
I usually don't critique hotels harshly, but there's always once in awhilewhen it needs to be done. First let me say I usually patronize this chain because of the consistency throughout the country. This Buffalo establishment was in poor shape. It appears to be under reconstruction, and when we drove up we weren't sure they were open. We were greeted with a sign stating the pool was closed (a big disappointment.) The room was dirty. The bed was poorly made, the sheets old worn and thin. They AC unit was very loud. The bathroom had mold around the tube, and there was used soap left on it's shelf. The walls were dirty, scuffed and in need of repair. As for the service, the only two people we saw the entire time were very nice and understanding when we complained. On the up side, the wifi was fast and tv was great! At one time this was most likely a lovely hotel, but in the mean time, there are better hotels near by to consider.
Buffalo WY small town one day rest between national parks. clean room with Air Condition and good breakfast. downtown 2 miles recommended for budget travelers. dollar store major attraction besides "Longmire souvenier store.
We were somewhat dubious upon arrival - the place looked deserted and the hotel sign was not even close to the facility. Once inside - the lobby was absolutely beautiful and the same with the breakfast room - wow. Found out they are renovating ..... The rooms are only partially done and let's hope they complete that soon. The shower nozzle is outstanding and the bed linens and pillows are excellent. Can't get any local stations on their direct tv cable company - which is crazy! The pool was being worked on. Their breakfast buffet was more extensive than most.
The facility might be undergoing an ownership transition, and it needs attention. The beds weren't comfortable, the doorjamb strip across the floor had come apart and threatened to trip us, the pool was closed, the coffee maker leaked - oh, and there wasn't hot water in the morning for a shower. Yikes. The hot breakfast was average at best - with only one poor soul hopping on a broken foot trying to take care of everything. The staff was nice, and sincere in their desire to please, but unless the place is significantly improved, I wouldn't bring my family back again. There have to be better places in Buffalo. The wonderful little town deserves better.
Good motel, excellant rates. Friendly staff trying at all times to please. Good hot breakfast, sausage, eggs, potatoes and waffles, but the worst coffee I have ever had anywhere. The direct TV leaves a little to be desired too. All in All a very good 3 night stay.
