Checked in for one night as it near shenzhen airport! Surprise to have a free upgrade and room look new to me! I think they just renovated the hotel. Near lot of restaurants and one shopping mall 20 Min walk ! Great choice of breakfast too! Will stay again
Convenient location - right next to subway station, with a few minutes walk to nearby shopping mall. Comfortable room - but with a slight smell of smoke, tho I have asked for a non-smoking room. One thing surprised me was the hotel maid didn't clean the cup nor the trash bin under the desk! They were left unattended until the another evening when I got back to the room.
I stayed in the hotel for three night this December. The hotel look grand and the location is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room size is acceptable in view of the price paid. I consider the room clean, but the carpet are very only and dusty. I booked through Tripadvisor and Agoda and make full payment upon booking by credit card. However, when I reached the hotel, the hotel staff asked me to pay a deposit of RMB 600 for three days stay, which is about 50% of the room charge, even though I have already paid the hotel fee fully. I paid this deposit by credit card, and they charge the total amount as advance payment to my card, and cancel the charge when I checked out. I find this practice is not right and unacceptable. I am very unhappy with it.
I am a Hotel executive from New York and my reservation was from November 13 thru November 23, 2016. Check in was seamless. Upon entry into room, my first impression was the room seemed to be small for an Executive room. After taking a shower, the bathroom flooded. There was drainage problem and the water was not draining as it should. I immediately contacted the front desk and they sent an engineer to take look and promptly moved me to another room on the same floor and everything worked fine. They handled and resolved the problem promptly. As someone that is familiar with Hotels and the hospitality industry, I usually look for a guest directory regarding the hotel and its services and amenities, but there was nothing to be found. i sent a note to the management during my stay to mention this and the following day, they placed a room service menu in my room. That was nice, but I personally do not think that it was enough to promote the various amenities and services available to a guest stay at this hotel. I personally would want to advertise and promote all the restaurants and the spa located in the Hotel. As an executive floor (Room 2705) occupant, I had access to the Hospitality room located on the 32nd floor, but I did not know about it until I happened to walk around the Hotel and explore and inquire about the various Hotel services. I think it would have been nice to have some thing posted in my room or maybe a postcard making me aware that I had access to the 32nd floor lounge. The most memorable person I encountered during my stay was the young lady that worked at 32nd floor lounge. She was very pleasant and always welcomed me with a nice smile. (Not sure of here name, but I think it was Irene) She was always willing to assist with any and all my needs during my stay. She even offered me her umbrella as she was leaving on break. She was a true "diamond in the rough" and probably deserves a management position. The best part of this hotel was the location and its proximity to the train station which is located a few steps from the main entrance of the hotel which made traveling most convenient and cost effective if you do not want to take taxi everywhere. KFC (open 24 hours) is located directly across from the hotel and plenty of restaurants nearby so food and eating was convenient an inexpensive. At check out, I told Martina that I needed a taxi to the airport. She told me that she could request a Uber car but had to pay her in advance since she was using her personal account. I did not mind as it was raining and I needed to get to the airport. I waited a couple of minutes and a metered taxi cab pulls up and was told this was my car to the airport...seemed odd for a Uber car, so I asked the driver if he received payment and he said NO. I went back to Martina and asked her to confirm that this was the car she requested for me. After speaking to the taxi driver, they apparently worked it out but there was definitely something wrong with the arrangement made between the driver and Martina. A word of caution, make sure payment is squared away before you get into the car/taxi. Overall, this was a good hotel with a great location for commuting. It is not the best hotel out there, but good based on the above mentioned areas of concern. I would consider staying here again and would recommend this hotel to others.
I Stay in this hotel on 15 Aug and my room no was 2907 overall nice hotel rooms are little bit small but still ok chek in/ out was smooth ...Staff was nice too..Defenitly stay here again ..location is very good just next to subway station on line5 ..
The hotel is in walking distance of the boarding gate (6 mins). It is new so the hardware is acceptable. But u can smell a low-taste perfume which makes me dizzy. The front desk told me the wrong direction to find the breakfast. Don't know how this could happen. The thai restaurant in the 4th floor is expensive and below expectation. The waitress totally forgot my dishes. Very disappointed.
I give this a four star instead of a five because of the place. The place is under renovation and the main entrance presentation now is not as beautiful as you think. The hotel room is good, big. But the room is quite dark after switching on the light. The down side is there is no complimentary water in the room. Breakfast was okay, not much variety but can eat la!
Spacious room, clean enough, no international channel television, average breakfast, across from the hotel you will find fast food restaurant. It is really help if the local foods doesn't match with your taste.
Average hotel, language a problem if u dont speak mandarin. Food is mediocore. Not international grade as yet. If you are on a budget, not too bad but if u want to treat urself, go elsewhere. Nice point is there is a 24hrs KFC just opposite hotel that has nice egg tarts! Better than macao's egg tarts!
The hotel's logo is a knock off of a global chain. I found this place from Ctrip after checking into another very bad hotel in Shenzhen that night. When I saw the logo, I was not disgusted as I normally would be but admired their courage to imitate a famous hotel. At least they are trying to make themselves look better. At the front desk, an old gentleman was there complaining the phone in his room did not work and he already came down many times. That was not a good sign. The check in process was longer than normal, either because of a slow computer or the person did not really know what she was doing. The room was okay to me as I had to compare it with the previous hotel that I just moved out. The carpet was kind of old and dirty but was acceptable and there was vaguely some stain underneath the top bed sheet. I did not dare to check if there was anything else not so clean. I only stayed there for one night. The location was not bad for me as it was not far from the Shenzhen-Guangzhou highway and was not too far from the airport. One more thing, don't let the hotel's name fool you: there is no spa. On my way out, I heard an American guy complaining to his travel mate "everything sucks in this hotel" and his partner replied "except the price".
