Nice hotel, very clean, friendly service. Quick one night stay while traveling, in late and out early, so did not spend much time to comment further. typical continental Hampton breakfast which I did not care for, but rooms are great. Would definitely stay again.
This is a decent hotel with helpful staff and clean rooms. They are currently remodeling the outside of the building so a little extra caution is wise. Lots of options for breakfast, but they seem to always have big smoked sausage/kielbasa, but I am not a fan
Stayed a couple of nights here on business. The location is away from the bigger cities which helps it stay quiet. The hotel and room specifically were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast options were adequate for my tastes. The breakfast area seemed to be a good size area even with the parking lot full both days I visited. The staff was very polite and friendly as well. I'd definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Shelbyville this past weekend (7/29 & 7/30/17) for a softball tourney. The room floor was sticky with something and we made sure to wear our shoes when in the room at all times. One of the beds was so broken down you could feel the springs. The worst part of the room was the bathtub/shower. The sides slant down in the bathtub to a very narrow bottom, not wide enough for two adult feet next to each other, making it hard to stand safely. Due to this my daughter fell hard while showering. I reported to the front desk who just wrote it on a pad of paper and that was it. Never asked if she was okay or not. The breakfast was just okay but definitely not great, and the staff was very rude to my son when he asked if there was anymore bread to make toast. Definitely will not recommend to anyone in the softball world looking for a hotel in this area.
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at for the price. The night staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I went up to the room and it smelled great in here. There's a mini fridge, coffee maker, closet, desk, couch, and king sized bed in the room I stayed in. Everything looked very clean. Bathroom was clean and they have any courtesy toiletry you could need. I also must add that the comforter on the bed was one of the more comfortable bed spreads I have used while staying at a hotel. Overall it was a great stay. I think the lights even have an automatic timer on them and I must add that this is the first time I've seen key cards that you scan instead of insert into a slot, which made it very easy when my hands were full. I also enjoyed there 24 hr coffee/tea set up that they have in the lobby. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but the tea was great. They offered regular sugar, sugar in the raw, artificial sweetener, half and half, and 2 different flavors of creamer, as well as cups with lids, cup sleeves, and stir straws. I haven't been to the pool yet, but peeked down there and saw a pool and hot tub.
Needed a clean, comfortable place to crash for the night on a recent road trip and this Hampton Inn fit the bill. One of the more expensive options in the area, but worth it for one reason: I knew I'd be arriving very late and Hilton's online check-in/digital key meant I could check in earlier in the day and have a guaranteed room rather than risk being walked due to a sellout. This is a pretty cookie-cutter Hampton Inn. The rooms were reasonably large and very well-lit with tons of outlets, a fridge and microwave. Large bathroom with an exhaust fan (yay!). Everything in the room was clean and functional with a moderate amount of wear and tear. The bed was plenty comfortable and no real noise issues from other rooms or the nearby interstate. Water pressure in the shower was pretty weak, but the water was plenty hot. Not a fan of the air conditioner in the room - it rarely kicked on and even at the coldest setting the room seemed stuffy. Breakfast was your typical Hampton Inn fare including hot items. Probably the tightest breakfast space I've ever seen at a Hampton, so it was hard not to bump into other guests while grabbing your food, but the staff kept everything clean and well-stocked throughout the morning. The hotel was in the middle of a renovation while I was there. They were working on the roof, so the whole place smelled faintly of roofing tar and their equipment took up a portion of the parking lot. Hopefully the pool area is next on the renovation list - while it was clean and well-serviced, it definitely showed its age. Overall a pleasant stay and I'd gladly stay here again.
it was the most friendly place by the people that run it and cleanness of the rooms and the parking lot was very clean breakfast the the best and housekeeping keptm rooms nice and comfort easy access to get on and off interstate enjoyable tostay there in Shelbyville in always be my kind of place to stay
Great location right off the highway. Close to the race track/casino. Price is good. Beds are great. Room is quiet. Staff very helpful. Complimentary breakfast is ok - not great but hot, filling and some variety. Coffee all the time.
Can't say anything bad about this place. Clean rooms quiet rooms comfy beds nice pool great breakfast definitely would stay here again staff was friendly and helpful slept like a baby no problems during our visit
Staff was excellent, breakfast was excellent, check-in/check-out was smooth. You can't ask for much more than that. There was a nice picnic bench out back that we sat at late into the night relaxing with some friends. The bed was very comfy. I'll be back for sure.
