My husband and I travel all over the world for both business trips and also holidays and we have never ever stayed in a so called 5* room that is a disgusting as the one we were subjected to in the Radisson Blu. When we booked in we were offered a ‘Room Upgrade’ from the room that we had booked and paid for to room 1317 which is one of the rooms around the pool area. We took the so called upgrade thinking it would be nice to be near the pool area and the added bonus for me was the walk in shower because I have difficulty stepping in and out of a bath due to 4 prolapsed discs in my back. When we first looked at room 1317 all looked good, but on closer inspection the room is in desperate need of renovation and repair. The problems we found are listed below: The toilet seat was stained upon our arrival. See picture attached. The shower wall was mouldy and the shower cubicle smelt of mould. See picture attached. The mould/damp from the shower has obviously seeped through the wall into the bedroom area of the room. See picture attached. The soap holder in the shower was rust. See picture attached. The tap on the shower room sink is wobbly. The shaver mirror light does not work. Toilet does not flush properly and the water keeps running and the toilet cistern does not re-fill until you press the flush again to stop the water. The retractable washing line in the shower did not retract. The TV only had 5 channels not 46 as shown on the list in the room. The net curtain over the window is water stained and looks shabby. As well as the above there are issues with the outside area around the room. These are as listed: The outside roofing area of the rooms look as though they are falling down and look very un-kept. The stone slabs from the room to the pool area are cracked and uneven. I was very disappointed in the way the room was cleaned during our stay for the following reasons: About 4 days into our stay the toilet was smelling so I cleaned the toilet myself with the only antibacterial thing I had with me – Mouthwash, this seemed to stop the smell and the toilet smelt a lot better after I had done this. On one particular day our toilet rolls were not replenished so after a long day of visiting customers I had to go in search of toilet rolls in the hotel. There were dirty coffee cups left in our room for 3 days before they were removed and clean cups put in their place. The sink unit was dusty and was obviously not cleaned during our week long stay. See attached picture. Bearing in mind that our room was obviously not being cleaned thoroughly I saw some hair on the edge of the sink and decided to leave it there as a test to see how many days it was before the sink was either washed down or cleaned properly. 48 hours the hair was on the edge of the sink! See attached picture. I am not usually one to complain and if there was only one or two of the above issues I wouldn’t have mentioned it, but to be quite frank with you the standard of the ‘upgraded room’ and surrounding area is not 5* standard. I strongly suggest that you take this room out of service until all necessary repairs have been made as it is an insult to customers who have paid good money to stay in a 5* hotel and is letting the Radisson group of hotels down. I doubt very much if we will be choosing a Radisson hotel again in the future for any of our business trips (10 per year) or any of our holidays (4 per year).
It’s a very old hotel and rooms are outdated, they have really work on the bathrooms. Since promised my family about an outing had to go here as did not get any other place. Breakfast was good. The pool for the kids was good. Enjoyed some good mock tails by the pool. The wallet service was quick and taxis can be taken from the front entrance. There are plenty of food options just across the main road.
it was a very pleasant stay, and it was a very friendly atmosphere in the hotel from reception to the restaurant ,to the cleaning room staff who was smiley and cheerful. we wish all the best to all the staff.
This hotel was probably cutting edge in the 1970s but the infrastructure needs to be updated now. The bathroom looks like the original! I was attending an industry conference here but most guests appeared to be package holiday makers from Russia or Ukraine. Good things - helpful staff. Good internet. Things that are lacking. Not much hot water. They have those horrible, harsh money-saving lightbulbs in the rooms.
We stopped by the Boulvar restaurant for lunch, we got very good service from Mr. Avi Nash working there. Highly recommended for anyone on the move and in need of somewhere to work between business meetings. Prices are fair, and the environment is modern and informal.
Good place to stay - just 20 minutes away from DXB Airport. Nice and spacious rooms - enjoy the beautiful view . Lots of families staying in the hotel and sure will be back with family soon. Quite a few outlets - Food is ok Nothing special however service is quick and prompt . Will be visiting back soon
Great ambiance; spacious rooms; quiet and comfortable sleep. Excellent restaurant with beautiful landscaping. Sumptuous, buffet breakfast. Nice coffee shop. Friendly staff, including the staff at the reception and travel desk. Also includes private beach, tennis court and swimming pool. There is also a good quality conference hall. Overall very comfortable stay.
We were group of friends and have spend a wonderful time all together :) pool and sea line is wonderful addition and makes you stay right in this hotel, even though it's quite old and needs some refreshment.
As promised, they returned in October. It's nice to see familiar faces again. Settled in number 627. As usual, everything is fine. In the room everything you need. The breakfasts are excellent. The beach and the area are magnificent. Excellent trained staff, always ready to help. Very pleased that the evening cleaning of the rooms returned, which was not for several years. The only thing that upset that there is no dvd player, we have been driving for many years and take with us your favorite DVDs. If this service is no longer provided, remove the number from the website description. Special thanks to Mary Lou for their assistance in the placement and all assistance. Be sure to come back again.
The moment I checked in, I felt very comfortable...It was "Vaste" and a grandiose first impression. I was automatically upgraded to business suite...Really liked. The room smelt "Clean" although I wanted it a "smoking" room, But felt like no one had ever smoked there....A+...the air condition and circulation was up to the T... There was all the toys that a businessman would want on a business trip ..plus a nice fruit platter was Paused on the side table...that added colours and freshness,and, the most was the Nespresso machine...Ahhhh...as if They knew that I needed one... I was planning on staying 3 days, but had to prolong it for 10 days....It Was great. The name said resort...and YES it was..one door away from a great beach , plus pool facilities for the kids and who ever likes not swimming in the sea... A Gym that has everything, for a great workout...and afterwards ..pass to a great steam room that smells so clean and inviting chilled jacuzzi for the DARING ones... just next to it...a Sauna, where you'd go in and feel like you are in an aromatherapy parlor... How could I forget the Massage...ohhhh, given by professionals..the Gentleman i had was so great, and worked my sour points so we'll...never forget the name" James" a small Philippino guy but with strong hands and a GPRS to know, which point really needs to be taking care of. I was so well treated, that I wanted to meet the GM. Rabih Zein...whom I did meet next day, for nice chat, and I introduced myself as a professional in this industry. Now I know why this hotel operated the great-way it does... This Hotel is Alcohol free ( According to the Sharja Emirate Laws)...but has two smoking floors, and the rest of the hotel is a smoke-free environment. The hotel is close to Dubai, By Taxi around 25-30 Dirhams, so if your business is in dubai, you can stay in this Piece Of Paradise, and commute to do your business, but Please ask for THE rush hour, or the Traffic hours schedule...and you will be fine. They have a great breakfast buffet with an omelettes station....YUMM...and on Friday a great brunch where, all good things exists, and will satisfy your hunger...and Palate. Another final amazing thing: everyone KNOWS how to help you, and have a great passion for their work..... Would I come back ???? YES I WILL. The first week of November...I will ..Just for the repeated joy of staying there. Wish all the Staff members of this hotel a great year, and For Mr. Rabih Zein, a bright future and Prosperity.
