We stayed as a couple at mandarin oriental and the ritz. The ritz was more than twice the price, however there was a different. The location is supreme, apart of IFC mall and above the lujiazui metro station. Also the views are supreme throughout the hotel. Breakfast was better, including the view from breakfast but also slightly more choices for food and drinks. The service was better in that there was English speaking staff in all parts of the hotel. Check in was very busy for new years so we didn’t get a tour of the hotel like usual, but check out was very good. Flair bar is exceptional. The negative is that it is expensive vs some of the other options, however the views and location make it worth it. Base king Room was nicer and bigger than the base king room at the mandarin oriental.

We had an amazing one night stay at The Ritz Carlton, they pulled out all the stops for us, a heart shaped mousse cake to celebrate our honeymoon, rose petals in the room, they opened up a separate room at breakfast so we could have a window view and they even etched our room cards with special messages as a keepsake. Amazing service and very friendly.

The Carlton is nothing but the best!!! Shanghai Ritz Carlton was clean and very friendly. Always a good selection for staying overseas. I love the ritz hotels!! My husband and I had a great experience in Shanghai. The front desk super friendly and helpful!! Crystal was really nice when we checked in and she even send a little cake for my birthday- definitely will come back to Shanghai. Ohhh and you can not miss the FLAIR has the best views!! Now Back home to USA

The Ritz Carlton Shanghai, Pudong is pure luxury. Stunning views of the Bund and Oriental Pearl Tower, elegant rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, and exceptional service made my stay unforgettable. Flair rooftop bar is a must visit for its atmosphere and views. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family

There is nothing bad to say about this property. Beautiful rooms with the most incredible bathroom. The view of the Bund was amazing. We were greeted by a wonderful host called An who couldnt do enough for you. She made us feel so welcome. I would 100% return.

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, especially toward my son. They made him feel so welcome, and he had the best time. We had to check out early, and I was worried we’d miss breakfast, but the team thoughtfully packed it for us. That level of care really stood out. The location couldn’t be better. It is right inside the IFC Mall and just steps from the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, and Jin Mao Tower. You’re in the heart of Lujiazui with some of the most iconic views in Shanghai. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, and the view from the window was breathtaking—both day and night. After we left, I was surprised to receive an email from the hotel letting me know we had forgotten my son’s notebook. I hadn’t even realized it was missing until they reached out. That kind of attention and follow-through made me really grateful. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Shanghai—luxury, convenience, and top-notch hospitality all in one.
