good location to historic palaces and ready access to public transport and subway. staff are polite, accommodating and helpful in english

Excellent customer service. Hotel is conveniently located to transit lines.

Great hotel. Great location. All the nice tourists' attractions in downtown Seoul are in walking distance. Staffs are very friendly. I would love to come back next time I'm visiting Seoul.

I originally became aware of this hotel location because on a previous trip to Seoul the airport shuttle service stopped at the Plaza. I smelled the scent from the lobby and thought this might be a nice place to take my wife. On my next trip through Seoul I decided to not stay at the more economical hotels I stay at when I travel alone and try out Seoul's Plaza hotel with my wife. Great customer service! Exceeded my expectations in this area. From the information in my room I presume that the hotel has great facilities, however my wife and I opted to go out and experience Seoul night life. VERY convenient from this location to get to some of Seoul's best shopping districts and night markets for a snack and a stroll. Room was underwhelming for me in terms of size and design. View was alright from the full room length window. Bathroom was nice (no bathtub in my room) and although we had jet lag we slept EXTREMELY comfortably in the bed at the Plaza. Altogether I would say that this hotel is great if you would like to treat yourself to a comfortable stay but don't plan on spending too much time in your room. Great for someone commuting through Seoul on business, but the hotels near the airport are a better option if no interest in walking around Seoul. Happy and safe travels!

Everything is pefect. But, room is little bit small compared with other major hotel. I'd like to give 5/5.

Very nice rooms with a good view. Good location for a business trip.

Had a great time staying at The Plaza in Seoul! Was able to make the most of the two days staying in the city thanks to the great location. Staff is very friendly and has good language skills in English+Japanese. Room is comfortable but a little small.

Very nice hotel. Location is very convenient. close to everything.

Great location, helpful staff, clean room and good value. I called the front desk a day prior to heading there, and they gave me clear directions on taking the Korean airlines bus from the airport (its called airport limousine, but is really just a bus). The bus was very convenient, it stops right in front of the hotel and is around $16. Good location, walking distance to many cafes and restaurants as well as to insadong market and historic palaces.

My room was an odd and curious thing, and felt a bit like a movie set, more than a comfortable place to sleep. (that monstrous lamps aimed conspicuously at the bed were certainly a part--but the paired mirrors, with the infinity effect, helped complete the oddness) The staff were extremely courteous and nice. The only downside was when I attempted to get a local reservation, and was navigated in error by the concierge (and wandered helplessly for half an hour attempting to find the correct kitchen). That said, they were quite nice and tried to be helpful. The location is fairly central, with some items in walking distance, and others a very easy cab away. With a sufficiently good deal (which I felt I had), I'd go back, but be more aggressive in getting directions--and I would get the premium suite, rather than the very curious premium double.

This hotel is located in the heart of Seoul with a beautiful view of City Hall, City Center Park, and awesome mountains in the backdrop. It's just too expensive for what you can get other local hotels for. Plus everything inside the hotel is outrageously expensive. For example, 20,000 won for a pint of Guiness in the lounge!!!

Hotel is very superb! Great view of the City Hall. Very romantic glass bathroom, decked out control pad that lets you control your curtains, lights and evrything else!

I loved this hotel. It was like a dream come true. The staff were amazing. They were always respectful and nice. The front desk staff were English fluent but the other staff were limited. The hotel room was a little small, but I didn't expect to spend much time there, so I didn't see it as a problem. The room was high tech, I felt like I was in a movie. The internet was free, so that was a huge plus...but then there was so much free internet hotspots everywhere in the city too. The location is great. It's right across from City Hall, which makes it an easy landmark if you get lost. It can get noisy since there are almost daily public demonstrations or events. On the plus side, some of them are really cool, like the fashion show. There are two palaces right next to the hotel, so the first day of site seeing is made easy. There are also a lot of stores within a short walking distance, such as Lotte Dept. Store, Lotte Young Store, and Insadong. There are four restaurants to pick from, which was great. They were pricey, but you shouldn't expect anything less from a five-star hotel. I think in summary, this is what I expect from all hotels I go to in the future. I would expect nothing less than what The Plaza gave me from anyone else.

The Hoel is right in the middle of the Financial Center of Seoul. The staff are very obliging and helpfu l. I needed a charger for my cell phone. We chatted for a few minutes with the Concierge. When we got bc to the room, one of the bellhops had been waiting at our door with one in hand..

Outstanding . Very modern , clean,excellent location .

Great hotel in the middle of northern Seoul. Recently remodelled. Awesome, free gym. Free Internet. Nearby city hall and the Cheongye stream and right next to the City Plaza (can get noisy starting at 6:30am though, due to music).

Great hotel, would visit again. In fact will be back there in a few days. Only downside is there was a protest in the plaza - right outside my window - that was very noisy and ran until after 3:00 am. Noise started back up at 6:00 am. This was just unlucky timing so I would not hold it against them.

The Plaza can truly claim to be one of the best hotels in Seoul (I have been to several others in various parts of the city). - best hotel gym, with a real squat rack, flat bench press, and incline barbell bench press (albeit located in the next-door building. The gym + pool are free to guests though unlike some other top Seoul hotels) - best in-hotel air quality (not a given in Korea where many "nom smoking" rooms reek of cigarettes due to poor ventilation systems). - extremely helpful staff (a given a top Seoul hotels but not in mid/low tier) - great, great location right next to City Hall Station - bathrooms are intelligently designed (water escaping from the shower has been a problem at other hotel) but they should install nightlights - can get a little noisy at night in rooms facing the main road

Good place overall. Attentive staff. Cool decor. We chose the neighborhood because we thought it'd be good to have a lot of the touristy stuff within walking distance. But found that the downtown area is more of a wasteland of corporate highrises. The palaces were interesting but we found more interesting neighborhoods farther away. Oh the pool is in a separate building. Useless.
