Efficient and comfortable

Wonderful little place in middle of Gangnam. Neat and tidy room. Small but everything you need is there. Not facing street so look for sign. Must use elevator and limited check in time but they have a self check in computer set up. Quiet but still in center of Gangnam.

Just roll with the digital era and things work themselves out . Comfortable enough . One gripe : the street noise shouldn't have got though the well insulated windows the way it did . Weird .

Great except for that light

The hostel was nice but there was a motion sensor light that went off every time my friend went to the bathroom at night and it was really annoying.

thumbs up for a nice Hostel

we had 2 twin day beds with a mattress cover and 1 blanket. The room was very clean and we had a microwave and water pot for heating water for our coffee. the room was very comfortable for sleep and for temperature in the room

The location was very good. A convenient store really close by. Around that area late at night, taxis were very hard to catch. The location of the hostel was very convenient to hang out of just to wait till the rush was over.

It's super hard to get in touch with a front desk person. There isn't a front desk; just a room designated for staff. Even simple requests lowers denied... maybe because of language...?

This was a perfect place to stay for us.

Hostel KW located right next to Sinnonhyeon Station ,in 3 min walking distance.a small grocery store right in the corner .All team spoke perfect English and could help with your question from 9am-9pm.

Location and value. Love it.

I booked it thinking that the neighborhood was really convenient, right next to metro, and as you step outside, you can walk to restaurants, sauna, cafes, everything. At first, I could not find the place. I had to call the front desk to give me more directions all the while I am wandering around practically in front of the building. The problem was that the sign was on the third floor only and pretty small-ish. There is a sushi shop on the main floor, which was taking up all of the attention. The lady on the phone was very pleasant. The room was clean. However, no desk, but this is not a problem for me since I could just go outside and work at a cafe. And there are some really nice ones. The room had a clean bathroom. A communal kitchen which I never used. The room had a hot pot for making hot water, which I used to make tea. And a small refrigerator. The place was fairly quiet. This is downtown Seoul, always bustling with activity, Kangnam, for goodness sakes, you are going to have some type of noise, but it did not affect my sleep. I stayed 4 nights. There is no maid service, but I did not need any. The blanket they gave was a bit shallow. I would have liked to have thicker blankets. For the money, I would stay there again and again. Since all I do in the room is sleep, I need little else. There is privacy, cleanliness. It did not smell. Frankly, I really like this place. The location is terrific. Also, I speak Korean so, it may have been easier for me.

The service was really NOT OK.

The room was fine and comfortable but the service was really not OK even this is only an hostel. Of course you can not expect too much for a hostel but this is really lower than standard. I stayed in many different hostel around the world before but i haven't had this experience. The staff was not friendly and not helpful, they even did not want to leave their "office" even one step or their seat. They just stayed in their office and face to the computer, sometime with their mobile. After we arrived, they just point to the form which is near the exit and asked us to fill in, after that he said it's done and tell us our room was on the upper floor. We asked "you are not gonna show us the room?" he said "there's nothing special in the room." Also, we arrived earlier than the check in time, so we need to store our luggage, he brought us to another room (which is unlocked) and just ask us to put in there. OK it's fine. The problem was the next day we check out, we need to store our luggage again, the staff said "you remember where you can put the luggage?" and asked us to put in there. I really speechless about this.

Nice guesthouse with good location

The guesthouse is located near Gangnam area. Close to subway and bus stop for airport bus. The twin bedroom is quite spacious. Lots of channels as there is cable TV in the room. Wifi is provided as well. However sometimes it may be difficult to reach the front desk staff as they may be away for lunch/dinner or on cleaning duty. Moreover, they are only open from 9 or 10am to 10pm.
