Although beds were made, the room was not clean. Bathroom shower had been repaired very poorly; shower curtain rod install upside down so curtain wouldn’t close. Also we woke up to find bedbugs. We’ve stayed here before on several trips. I’ve noticed the quality of this hotel has continued to go down in the past couple of years. Hilton properties claim to be superior to other comparable hotels, which is why I pay more to stay at them. At this hotel, I paid Hilton prices, but got motel qualiry. Completely unacceptable.
Loved this hotel, partially because of the fantastic staff. We were there with a large group and everyone was talking about how fabulous every person was that we came into contact with at this hotel. The daily breakfast is very nice. Lots of room to hang out in the lobby if you're there with a group. The rooms are spacious; you can easily fit two adults and two children in a room with two queen beds. I will stay here again the next time I'm in the area.
I was very pleased with the hospitality of the employees at this particular Hampton. They greeted us with a smile and that is just what we needed after driving 16 hours to get to our destination. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was great. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we visit Selma.
Kerry the General Manger is a great leader and finds the balance between business foresight, performance and character. Kerry have vision, courage integrity humility and focus along with the ability to plan strategy for the customer needs.
The hotel is in a convenient location, easy to find and access. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The staff is friendly, polite, and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling and needing a hotel in the Selma area.
Woke up to what I now know are bites all over my arms and hands. Thought it was an allergic reaction when in fact it was an infestation of bed bugs in BOTH beds in the room. Disgusted. I’ve stayed here before and have never had this problem! Seems like standards here are slowly declining! Never come back and am contacting the corporate office about this health hazard!
We booked a bloc of rooms for my daughter's wedding. The manager, Mr. Kerri Smith, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome as did his service staff. When the church was inundated with a plague of wasps and lady bugs, he even let me borrow a vacuum cleaner! (I live 4-1/2 hours from Selma.) All of our wedding guests were very impressed with the personal service given by Mr. Smith and his staff. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and not received as good service as we did here in Selma. Such a hidden treasure!
Very good location off of HWY 80. The grounds and establishment was clean and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. They had waffles, eggs with ham, cereal, bagels and toast. Coffee, milk and juice. The employees were friendly. Cons: no vent in the bathroom and the sink with the coffee pot is in the same space as the tub. Pros: friendly staff, good breakfast, clean room with a fridge.
We used our points to stay here. Facility was nice. Super comfortable bed. Clean! Small but adequate exercise room. Breakfast was good. Wish we had a chance to use the large pool! Will definitely stay here again.
Thank you to Leticia and Kerry S. for a wonderful weekend with our daughter. The breakfast buffet was warm and always ready for your guests. The hotel was clean. With a few folks worried about the lack of "convenient" parking with a full house, we however were grateful for a safe and clean place to stay. The lot was well lit and hopefully the door gets fixed soon on the side to eliminate some of your stress :) Your kindness and professionalism set a standard! God Bless and see you next time!
