Here's what you need to know....it's a hotel on the golf course. Robert Trent Jones Trail. Great staff, relaxing environment. Hotel staff was prompt and friendly, room was clean with nice golf theme wallpaper. Located away from busy section of town. Definitely recommend.
While visiting on business, I experienced very positive customer service from the front desk and bar staff. The room was clean, featuring many towels, pillows, and other items you typically look/ask for (extra). If you're looking for a great conversation, having a cocktail before bed or dinner at the restaurant/bar in the lobby is the place to be.
I am shocked if anyone gives this hotel a good rating. First off beds are so hard they are like sleeping on the floor or maybe plywood. My husband and I rented a room with 2 beds, we did everything to try and make bed more comfortable, the bed put my neck out and for the last 7 days The neck has caused such severe migraines, nausea, dizziness etc that I’m having to go to doctor this week. Second when we asked for a chair so we can sit and enjoy our room service or when we have guest they had NO chairs, when we asked to have a table we could sit at with 6 people they had no tables, they only had tables in dining resturant. After our first night in hotel we never received anymore room service forms so i contacted room service and requested coffee with cream and sugar for next morning and it never showed up. Why in the hell does a hotel offer full room service, but only 1 small computer chair and a small computer table that goes along wall. I had to eat breakfast in bed and hope nothing spills. I have contacted corporate office and all I get is a email which I never got but they said I did and $200 off on room. No decency in calling and following up with me. I’ll contact again in the morning. Go to Comfort Inn better hotel. Besides when your neighbors are watching tv it sounds like a movie theater in your room 😡
I had no idea this hotel was in the Montgomery area so when someone told me about it I booked! I thought it would be outdated based on the pics on line. The lobby is very lodge like ( hence the name) but the rooms are completely updated! I mean really nice furniture for a hotel room! The room overlooked the golf course- beautiful. I had room service twice, it was great both times. And the service! I had read some reviews about the service being poor, NOT my experience AT ALL. EVERYONE was so pleasant, so helpful. I travel to Montgomery about once a month- this is my new hotel ( it’s about 10 min outside Montgomery in Prattville)
Couples trip.... While the whole place was nice, we spent the afternoons and evenings in the bar overlooking the fairways. Early afternoon watching the golfers was great, the bar tender made us feel like royalty. Then the evening started and it got even better...live music, more of the same great service and attention. Can’t say enough good about this place...except one more little thing....you MUST try the fried Wickles. Paired with your favorite beer, you are guaranteed a “moment”. So good!
Stayed one night and will return. Beautiful grounds, great hospitality, and probably the best egg omelette I've had in a long time. Make a point to stay and enjoy breakfast. Free parking and nearby shopping make this a very good location for long weekends, holidays, etc.
Absolutely the WORST stay at a Marriott property ever. In 35 years if staying at Marriott properties I have NEVER been treated like this or had such a terrible experience. Our group of golfers (average 65 years old) getting the local police called for “disrespecting” the staff? Worst group of disgruntled employees I’ve ever seen in the travel industry.
We stayed over night here on our way to Orange Beach. This place was awesome. One you could just say let's just stay here until the vacation is over! Scenery is so beautiful but main thing was the customer service. Very kind and helpful. If we are ever in the area again we will stop here. Close to 65 and many restaurants
Thank you to the Marriott staff for allowing us to bring our dog while we evacuated Hurricane Michael. This is a beautiful hotel with large rooms which is great for a family of four + fur baby. The breakfast Buffett was an extra bonus and we enjoyed the green landscape surrounding the property. We have already decided this will be our “go to” hotel when we need to evacuate the Gulf Coast.
the front desk people aren't miserable anymore. the hotel is quiet and clean. the restaurant needs more staff though morning and night. it's a bit hard to find...but it's a decent place. not much "action" but sometimes you need quiet. need fruit in the gym
