Stayed 9 days was perfect for our requirements. Ice machine, fridge and microwave laundry room. The the red Rock Cafe and an excellent market shop next door and plenty of shops and bars in walking distance. Maid service spot on. Small but nice pool nice to sit and cool off or sit and sunbathe.
We had a wonderful stay at the Desert Quail. The hotel is very close to the Red Rocks scenic byway and its hiking trails. The Red Rock Cafe, right behind the hotel, has wonderful food, as do many other nearby restaurants. The rooms were modern and clean, and the bed was so comfortable—and the WiFi is fast! We will definitely stay at the Desert Quail again on our next Sedona visit.
I traveled solo from Phoenix to Grand Canyon and back with a stay in Sedona. The Desert Quail Inn in Oak Creek Village was a perfect stopping point for my travels. It was about 10 minutes outside of Sedona proper and a million miles from the crush and tourist press. There are a few reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance including PJ's Pub (lunch and dinner) and Red Rock's Cafe (for breakfast and lunch), both highly recommended!
We much prefer to stay in Oak Creek, than in Sedona itself. It is quieter, has great red rock views, and it is a pleasant drive into Sedona. The grounds are very clean and attractive. The room was very clean, very comfy mattress., and that is Numero Uno, to us. Complaint : the shower leaked pretty bad, and the sink, did not empty great. I know plumbing is a pain, but those are important to the customer.
Very friendly staff, generous size and clean room, all appliance functional. Our king bed was firm with fresh linens, the fire place in room was easy to turn on and we were very satisfied with other room amenities. Within 200 feet, Red Rock Cafe, a great restaurant good for breakfast and lunch. Also, right next to it is a full grocery store with pharmacy - handy for quick picks and emergency medical needs. Recommend highly and would stay there again.
We stayed in late April with my husband and 2.5 year old son/toddler. It was exactly what we needed. It was close enough to good restaurants, and the drive to the main drag of Sedona was only about 15 minutes. I am quite picky about cleanliness of hotel rooms and I was so impressed with the shape the room was in and the cleanliness. The staff was really helpful and friendly as well. We stayed on the second level which was helpful with a toddler so that he couldn't run into the parking lot when we walked out the door. The pool is small, but was great for sitting in the shade/sun and getting some time to play for my son. Great find for the Sedona area!!!
My second stay at this Inn. The Front desk clerk was not at front desk when I wanted to check in, so I had to wait 10 minutes or so. That said, my experience at this Inn was pleasant after this initial glitch. Someone has carefully thought out the Hotel amenities: clean rooms, nice pool, microwave, mini fridge & sweet smelling toiletries. Good location for nearby restaurants. Nightly Rate was reasonable. When I went to check out, the daytime manager apologized to me for the check in glitch I experienced. He seemed sincere & attentive. I will definitely stay here again.
My mom and I stayed here 4 nights as part of a SW road trip, and we were completely happy with our selection. The room was clean, modern and spacious, and the location was perfect. We had great views of the red rocks from our window, an easy drive to the various sites, and plenty of food options a short walk away (restaurants, grocery store, bar, etc). Would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again.
We were pleased to find this place. We have not had good luck with hotels lately. This was a really nice room and very clean, even in the nooks and crannies. We are not a fan of air conditioners and this room had a ceiling fan plus an air conditioner. The fan kept the room a perfect temp. Comfy bed, nice sheets, refridgerator and microwave that worked great and were clean. Lots of towels and quiet, too. We had a great stay.
We stayed here for a couple nights on our road trip, and certainly enjoyed it. The beds were comfy, the rooms were clean, and the pool was wonderful. The staff was very helpful, and you get a discount at the restaurant in the plaza next door, which is a great bonus. The rooms are large, and even though there was a large group of guys a few doors down, we couldn't hear anything from them once they were back in their rooms.
