Wonderful place to stay! I would rate every category 'excellent'.

Wonderful, knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed the wine and hors d'oeuvre hour each night before dinner. Room was clean and well appointed.

The outside of the building was beautiful. The inside could use some upgrades… especially mattresses

Beautiful property with friendly staff. Excellent breakfast! All within walking distance to Historic Savannah. Loved our time there!

The Eliza Thompson House is conveniently located in the historic district of Savannah and walkable to everything we wanted to visit. Overall, the quality of food, bedding, towels, and cleanliness were adequate, but well below expectations given the price and other reviews of this Inn. The bed and pillows were quite worn out and uncomfortable. With all the excellent options for accommodations in this area, we would not likely return. One note: we almost had to reschedule this trip and the staff were willing to accommodate this change even though it was outside of the change window. That was incredibly accommodating and kind. With a little refreshing and perhaps stepping up the food/snack/beverage offerings, this could be a terrific destination. Note: this inn did not appear to be handicap accessible. There were stairs everywhere!

The property is an historic inn. One aspect we liked is their reception with snacks and wine, after dinner time they had desert with cordials. It was a very sociable time to meet the other guests. Jones Street, their location, is possibly the prettiest street in Savannah.

This place is amazing! the breakfast was awesome, the rooms were clean, the location was wildly convenient, and the staff….from the second you drive up to the building, you are greeted outside by Kevin (so sweet) and everyone single person working at the desk knowledge, progressional, polite, and friendly. Staying here was my first time but my mother and I are already obsessed with this place.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The staff always greets you with a smile and are very attentive. Breakfast was delicious. The decor of the room was chic with tasteful pops of color. The atmosphere at this bed and breakfast was comfortable and inviting. I will definitely visit again.

Good location and wonderful staffs. Good breakfast, tasty hordeuvre in the afternoon and delicious desert in the evening.

Outdoor patio seating was beautiful and the staff was very attentive.

Great friendly staff. Wine & cheese desert & sherry. Classy!!

Nice cozy, historical, and awesome staff. Wine and cheese in the evening and the breakfast bar was a nice inclusion. I didn’t have time to enjoy either but is a nice touch.

Breakfast was excellent. Wine and cheese before dinner was a noIce surprise.

the location is great and the staff was also friendly and the wine and cheese and dessert and breakfast all good

This Inn is wonderful. Charming and clean, the staff is so excellent, no request is too great or small. they have a wonderful buffet style breakfast. And an even lovelier evening appetizer/ wine hour in the parlor and also a desert and coffee/ tea hour for when you return from your evening out and about in Savannah.

Beautiful bed & breakfast in an unbeatable location!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we appreciate it so much when our guests go out of their way to tell others. There is nothing like the mattress at home, and when travelling it is very difficult to find that perfect one. I have noticed that several times when travelling it is always the sleep quality I have the biggest problem with and I apologize for any discomfort you may have endured while staying with us because of the mattress. We hope to see you the next time you are in the Savannah area. Have a great day.

Thank you for your review, Kristin. I apologize that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are very aware that our rooms are in need of attention and renovations. We are very hard with our corporate offices and a design team, along with contractors to make sure that we can have our rooms to the highest possible standard for future guests. We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind once these renovations occur in the very near future. Our food is prepared fresh every day by in-house chefs. If there was something wrong with your breakfast, they are always happy to remake it for you or get you something different. Much of the Historic District in Downtown Savannah is not handicap accessible, as most of the buildings and cobblestone streets are 150+ years old. We do sincerely hope that all of your concerns were brought to the front desk so we could have had the opportunity to make things right immediately. We would have been more than happy to help you find a different room that would better suit your needs, or we would have been glad to help you find accommodations elsewhere if a more modern hotel was to your liking. I am pleased to hear, however, that my management team was willing to accommodate your travel changes outside of our policies and did so with kindness and compassion. We hope to see you again in the future!
