Stayed here for one night during brief visit to Savannah, GA. Property is located right in the city centre, just above parking garage. Check-in was swift, and done in 7th floor, and our room was in 6th floor. Room was modern, luxurious, nicely appointed, maybe it could be a bit cleaner. Bed was comfy. Just wi-fi was terrible and totally unusable.
Everywhere I look there is attention to detail that I love! Kitchen is well furnished and beautiful enough to be in your home with stainless steel appliances and decorative details. Also it is well-lighted from many windows. As a matter of fact, the entire unit is well lighted and even has great lamp lighting. I notice because I am limited vision but I had no problem in our unit, 603. There is free wi-fi. Some of the units (ours included) have balcony which could be fun, but we are here in an unusual winter storm so we could not take advantage of it. Can you believe this is a timeshare which also provides luxury bathrobes, a white noise machine, expensive bathroom accessories and hardware as well as a garment steamer along with the normal amenities?? Our unit faced west but there were great drapes and sheers that were perfect. Such attention to detail, such as a stainless strip on top of the bathroom tiles by the floor to stop moisture getting behind tiles. Can't say enough about the beautiful decor and design which flowed seamlessly from room to room. Bath was nicer than ours! Lots of great storage. Also the location is amazing. We are here in an unusual winter storm but were able to walk to all the restaurants and attractions we wanted. People are nice and welcoming. Front desk people are welcoming and helpful. Just note that the front desk is on the top floor of the property and parking is valet and $22 but you can go in and out without extra payment. There is a hospitality center on the 7th floor by the front desk which offers Kuerig coffee, ice, snacks, and water. There is a sun roof which also has a fire pit for cool weather. We will always stay at this property because it is so comfortable and accommodating.
We are Bluegreen Owners and this was our first visit to this property. Also our first visit to Savannah. Check in was a bit of an adventure. The Parking Valet also acts as the "doorman", so there was no one to let us in at first. I finally contacted the Front Desk (which is located on the 7th floor!) and was let in. Once at the Desk, I had to wait for the Attendant to return and, as we had arrived early before normal check in, it took a while for them to determine if our room was ready yet. However, once Victoria (the valet) returned from parking the previous guest's vehicle, she began working with my wife to go over the parking requirements. Parking in Savannah can be an adventure all its own. Narrow, one-way streets and limited parking. The valet parking was a bit pricey for our stay, but I felt it was worth it to not have to maneuver my extended cab pickup into the usual tight spots found in most garages. You CAN get the parking fee covered if you attend the sales pitch meeting (which we did not). The one bedroom (203) was excellent. Comfortable bed, nice balcony, fairly decent soundproofing, and the kitchen was well appointed. Shontae (from Maintenance) was VERY helpful showing us how to work the sliding door to the balcony and providing a "tour" of the room. Standard Wi-Fi is free, but you have to log in fresh every 24 hours. All the staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and seemed genuinely glad we were there. The resort is within easy walking distance of the River Street entertainment district and the free bus service can get you to most of the rest of Savannah. We are birdwatchers, so having the valet service available 24/7 for our super early morning trips to the country was a plus. The free on site laundry facilities meant we did not need to pack extra clothes. You can tell the building was converted. They were very creative in making storage space in the bedroom and bathroom and the location of the light switches could be confusing. (Thank you again, Shontae.) I would suggest labels on them. The rooftop deck provides a nice view, but we enjoyed people watching from the balcony more.
very nice rooms if it tad small but for a couple days it was perfect. very strange coming in the first time and there being no signage or anything telling you that check in is on the 7th floor??? they offer free coffee in AM cookies and sparking water all day in the office and have a grand patio also on the 7th floor. We knew about the pricey parking and general lack of parking so took the shuttle from the airport then when ready to drive uo to Charleston we had Enterprise car rental pick us up...worked out well saved 2 days rental and two days parking plus was cheaper tom rent a car downtown than at airport. we also passed on " owners update" in spite of that all the staff was very friendly and more than helpful with directions and advice.
Savannah has so much to see & do. Great food, entertainment. I love the Riverfront. The tour are nice. They great festivals. Shopping. I like walking on the waterfront. The history is so exciting when you are on a tour. Everything you want to see is in walking distance depending where you are staying. Savannah is a place I will always visit when given the opportunity.
Lovely condo, modern with very comfortable beds. Very quiet and excellent location. What more can I say! Extremely friendly staff who knew your name. Loved the town and the dining. City bus was free and easy to use. Can not wait to visit again.
Love our studio homes. It's very clean and looks great. Staff is even better. Most friendly people here that we have encountered at our bluegreen stays. The whole set up here makes it very convenient for us. The valet and parking etc.
We enjoyed staying here so much last year that we decided to stop over two nights en route Orlando to Charleston. The car park valet service is good albeit quite expensive. The rooms are small but well maintained and that's not a problem for us. The downside as usual was the hard sell tactics employed during the "owner update" or "review". We were taken to a noisy room which we told them was not suitable as my partner cannot deal with it. We were then taken to the show unit which we saw last year while the other couples finished their talks. The very pleasant young lady asked questions but took little notice of our answers. This was proved when half an hour later she repeated the questions and was surprised by our answers! She obviously realised we weren't going to buy any more points so got her manager involved. He basically repeated what she had told us and when we reminded them we live in England and cannot just drive here, he shrugged his shoulders and realised he couldn't sell us any more points. Hooray! We then had to walk quite a distance across the main square to be given our "reward". Bluegreen need to accept that not everyone has endless funds. We're retired and live in the UK! I first bought onto this scheme in 2000 so I should know how the system works but I'm always frustrated by the pressurised selling experience.
We have stayed here previously with our friends and have enjoyed both visits. The rooms are wonderful and are very modern and quite spacious. The location is excellent and you are within walking distance of the historic district, the river front and the market. Everything is within walking distance so you can have your car valet parked and don't need it until you are ready to leave.
The studios at Ellis square is very impressive. We had a two bedroom and it was perfect for our needs. A full size kitchen and living room that was beautiful. Location is also perfect, right in the middle of everything and within a block of the river walk.
