Ubicado a 4 millas del centro de Sault, ¡MI es nuestro pedacito de cielo! Situado en la calle baja Mary's River, tendrás una playa de arena privada para nadar, broncearte, pescar o incluso andar en motonieve y esquiar en invierno.
Una de las pocas propiedades con agua poco profunda para que disfrute toda la familia. Siéntate en la cubierta recién construida y conviértete en un "nerd del barco" mientras te maravillas con los gentiles gigantes que viajan por el río. ¡Lo suficientemente cerca para correr en el centro de la ciudad para la cena, pero lo suficientemente aislado para unas vacaciones familiares privadas!
La casa fue construida en 1984 por nuestra escuela secundaria local. Hemos derribado muros, hemos instalado nuevos ventiladores de iluminación y techo en cada habitación, nuevos baños, nuevas cortinas, nuevos colchones y ropa de cama, una nueva cubierta, pintura nueva en toda la casa, etc.
Las mejoras principales para 2020 incluyen una nueva cocina, una alfombra nueva y la actualización de los baños.
Hay una rampa para sillas de ruedas en la puerta principal, y el baño principal tiene acceso para sillas de ruedas.
Tenemos mesa de billar y mesa de ping pong en el garaje. Hay un pack & play y una silla alta también.

Hemos llamado a esta propiedad Mohawk Acres. Está ubicado en el sitio del antiguo Mohawk Supper Club y Taffey Abel Lodge.
Clarence "Taffy" Abel no comenzó a jugar hockey hasta su adolescencia. En pocos años se convirtió en el abanderado del equipo olímpico estadounidense de 1924, el único abanderado nativo americano, el primer jugador de la NHL nacido en Estados Unidos, ganador de la medalla de plata olímpica en 1924, y dos copas Stanley en sus 8 años en el NHL.
Regresó al Sault para entrenar y abrió un club de cenas llamado Taffy's Lodge. Los Detroit Red Wings dirigieron su campamento de verano en Sault en la arena Pullar de 48-58. La leyenda dice que muchos de los jugadores y entrenadores pasaron algo de "calidad" en el lugar de Taffy.
Taffy falleció en 1964. El estadio de hockey del Lago Superior State ahora lleva el nombre de Taffy. ¡Asegúrate de ver un juego cuando estés en la ciudad!

Another wonderful stay!

A wonderful house in a beautiful location! We really enjoyed the freighter traffic passing silently by just yards away through the river. The house is very comfortable, plenty of seating inside and out. Easy to go into Sault Ste. Marie, MI for food, drinks, museums and tours. Diana, the owner, was very kind and fun to speak to via text. Great stay!

Very clean, great location, well-appointed with a lot of nice features like ceiling fans everywhere, even in the bathrooms, lots of comfortable seating inside and out, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and just about anything you need in the kitchen! The ships going by day and night were amazing and beautiful. We even had a glimpse of the Northern Lights! We loved our stay and hope to be back!

I always look forward to coming back to this quiet and peaceful home ideally located right on the St Marys river. Clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. Everything you need is provided. Lots of comfortable chairs on the deck and a good sized fire pit. Nice walk in shower in the master suite. Only a short drive to the Soo Locks or just sit on the deck and watch the freighters go by. Highly recommended!

Weekend getaway

What a beautiful home! So thankful for a quiet peaceful space spent with my husband. The location was perfect for watching freighters go by on the river. Would definitely love to stay again with another couple. Plenty of space to share with friends and/or family.

This is the fourth year I've stayed at this property, and I've already booked it for 2026. The house is so comfortable and stocked with anything you need. We loved watching the freighters go by. Even saw a cruise ship pass.

Great Location

Wonderful house right on the St Mary's River with a great view of the many freighters passing by. Close to town for dinner or shopping. We enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful property

We loved our stay. We truly enjoyed watching the freighters right from the deck! The beach was amazing, the house was clean, and the deck was large enough for a bonfire and the six of us to relax and unwind.

Great property!

We stayed for five days this year and we always enjoy this residence. This year it was hot so we took full advantage of the shallow beach, cold water and large deck. We had a great time!

Your home was amazing. we couldn't have asked for more. The home was very inviting, i would have been easily content on just staying at the house. if there was anything to nit pick on, it would be my vacation wasnt long enough, and maybe some how an easier path to the beach/water Thank you so much would love to stay there again

Freighter Heaven!

Such a beautiful spot to view freighters and enjoy being outdoors. Inside has everything you need and then some. Plenty of room and beautiful rooms.

Lots of big boats

Great house and location. Surrounding trees give a real feeling of seclusion. Surreal having a full size cruise ship glide by on the river. We enjoyed our stay.
