Private and perfect

Amazing spot! The house is so clean and cute with total privacy. Kathy thought of everything you could need for a comfortable home-like stay. Location is amazing, just a short drive from numerous towns. Great for families!

Great House, Amazing Property

The house was awesome and the host was very accommodating for a special request regarding our pets. Wish we had more time to enjoy the beautiful property as the garden and fire pit area were great. If we are back up in the area we will definitely look to book the 1890 Cape Cod again!

Home with it all!

We had a great time. The house was perfectly sized for two families with everything we needed. The yard is huge and relaxing. Short drive to many fun activities. Kathy is extremely helpful and communicative. Highly recommend!!!

Everything you need!

We had a great stay at Lilac House. The house is VERY well-appointed. The homeowner has taken great care to consider what you might need during your stay and provide it - from toiletries to small kitchen appliances to dog bowls. The hot tub was new and very clean. We enjoyed using both the indoor fireplace and the outdoor fire pit and appreciated the wood being provided onsite. Useful information is provided throughout the house (how to set the alarm, use the fireplace, etc.). The house is on a main road but up a hill and I didn't notice sounds of the road while inside or in the hot tub outdoors. Our group (with pups) were very comfortable and had a great time. Kathy was responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

The BEST House Rental

I stayed at the Lilac House this past weekend for a Mom’s trip away with my old roommates from college. The Lilac House is so cute in the posting, but our experience exceeded our expectations. The property owner, Kathy, was so wonderful and communicative from booking the house to when it was time for our stay. When we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was so clean and we had more than enough room for the four of us. While this trip was a girls trip and we didn’t bring our families, it was clear to see we could have brought our little ones. Kathy had a highchair, games, etc. There were so many personal touches. We truly could have walked through the front door with only clothing and a fresh bag of groceries and been absolutely fine. It’s also worth noting that we took advantage of the hot tub. We were excited to see how clean it was, and it worked perfectly. It’s located in a great spot where you can see the stars on a clear night. Whenever we return to the area, this will be our go-to spot.

The best VRBO we have been in!

WE LOVED this house! It was perfect for our small gathering of friends for the weekend. Kathy has provided literally anything you might possibly need during your stay. She was so helpful and made sure we knew she was available if we had any questions. The house and grounds are beautiful. The kitchen is amazing. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again!

Girl's getaway

Spent two nights at Lilac House. The home was well equipped with anything one might need and the owner provided explicit instructions for the home, a guidebook for the surrounding areas and was responsive when contacted. The drawers and cabinets in the kitchen were even labeled! The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of seating and the downstairs was very spacious. Only issue for us being seniors was a rail to decking for entry to the home would have been helpful as the decking was slippery when damp. The location was great with easy access to Woodstock and access to major roadways.

Cozy House

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is very nice and cozy with all the amenities you could need. There are a lot of kitchen appliances that aren't listed so ask the property manager before you bring something. The house is on a busy country hwy and people drive pretty fast on it. There is currently no fence for dogs. We had a great stay!

Fantastic Family Experience

Very nicely decorated vacation home with thoughtful hosts! Everything we needed for a relaxing family stay...Comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, and a large kitchen and dining table that made it easy to prep and enjoy meals together. The firepit was a great place to hang out and enjoy a summer evening under the stars. We had a wonderful time in this lovely house. Looking forward to staying again.
