Great Getaway - Quiet, Walk to Golf, near Downtown

You'll love staying at this updated farmhouse! Only 5 minutes from downtown Saugatuck, 6 minutes to downtown Douglas, and 15 minutes from Holland make it easy to visit the best the area has to offer, all while having a secluded "home base" with large yard to come back to. There is plenty of seating for everyone in your group and even a built in bar for entertaining. Whether you are looking for a relaxing weekend or to make memories with a group of friends, this home is for you!

The Space:
This home was purchased in fall 2020 from a family who had owned the home for many many years and the children had grown up in. I have met them and they are wonderful people and they were excited that their home would be getting renovated and rented so that many families would be able to experience the great aspects of Saugatuck they grew up with.

During the winter of 2020/2021 I lived in the house full time while completing renovation work. New floors, new counter tops, new paint, remodeling the bathrooms and bedrooms. It was quite the experience but I would say very rewarding! I was also able to get to know the town (and fall in love with it!) during my time here. It's a truly special area and I am happy to share any recommendations with you!

I am thrilled to have completed all the renovations and be able to rent the home to families and groups alike looking to escape the daily routine. This home and Saugatuck are a great setting for making memories with friends and families and I am certain that anyone who stays here will return to Saugatuck again in the future!

This property is pet-friendly, and you're invited to bring your furry companions. Please note there is a pet fee of $75 per pet. (kindly inform us upon booking).

Guest Access:
You will have the entire home and property to yourself :) this home sits on just over 3 acres which means there is plenty of room for outdoor fun and games in the summer sun!

For anyone traveling with pets - pets are welcome for a fee but they must be kept on a leash or lead when outside of the home.

Other Things to Note:
A few things to note about the home:

Indoor Fireplace: The indoor fireplace is for decoration only. DO NOT have any fires in the indoor fireplace.

Laundry: Laundry machines are located in the basement and accessed via the door in the first floor mudroom. Be cautious and use the handrail as the staircase to the basement is steep.

Grill: A charcoal grill is provided for guests to use. You must provide your own charcoal. Do not move the grill and DO NOT leave the grill unattended while in use.

Fire Pit: Please enjoy the outdoor fire pit. ONLY burn firewood in the fire pit and DO NOT leave fires unattended. When finished using the fire pit extinguish all flames and coals with water.

Air Conditioning (summer only): While the home is equipped with A/C, our hottest summer days challenge the A/C system in this large, older home. Please close any vents on the main floor to force air upstairs, keep shades pulled and utilize fans.
