My husband, myself and another couple stayed at the Residence Inn on February 17 and 18, 2017. We attended our friends' wedding nearby. The hotel was very nice, as were the hotel staff. Check in was a breeze! The suites were very clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The king sized bed we had in our suite was super comfortable, as were the pillows. We enjoyed the free breakfast Saturday morning and it was very good. The food was hot, many choices and replenished frequently. The area where the food was, was clean and easily accessible. The dining area was also clean and there was plenty of spaces to choose for dining. I would highly recommend my friends and family to stay here. We will definitely stay again when traveling to Saratoga.
The room was clean and very comfortable, and the staff was so helpful. We forgot toothpaste and the woman at reception got us some very quickly and at no cost. The bistro downstairs was nice and had great coffee. Super convenient location right off of the interstate and the walk downtown was only about 5-10 minutes. We got a great rate on the room as well. Would definitely stay there again!
Very friendly staff. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Made me feel like staying in a comfy house rather than a hotel. Will definitely come back. Very near to one of our customers and had a pleasant stay for 2 weeks.
We traveled for a overnight trip to visit relatives in area. The breakfast wasn't as plentiful as usual (no fresh fruit. The bed was comfy . The parking could have been better, there were a lot of vehicles that had been there a long time, which prevented the area to be plowed properly. The staff were nice .
We stopped here for one night on our way to NYC. Entrance to the hotel is a little hard to find. Desk employee (Bob) was very nice with us on our unannounced late arrival. Room was of a good sizw, nice with many amenities. The rooms are nice if you are travelling with family. Free wi-fi, nice gym as well. Breakfast was included and choice was in my opinion above average of what you get usually. Would go back if I have to drive to NYC and need a stay over. Recommended.
Our room was nice, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Cooking facilities were not needed this stay, but could be in utilized in the future. Breakfast was good, the potatoes were especially delicious. The restaurant was clean, comfortable and attractive. The staff was exceptionally nice. My grandchildren stayed and had a wonderful time in the pool. We stay in Saratoga Springs several times of year, but this is our first experience at the Residence Inn. It will be our go-to place from now on.
This was just like the other Residence Inn's that we have stayed at. The breakfast offered a variety of different choices, and the manager even offered to throw away our plates when we were finished; showed a lot about the management. Our room was clean and comfortable, and conveniently located near the back entrance. They had a nice outside sitting area with a fire pit, and a grill if you wanted to use it. Overall, comfortable stay located very close to the shopping center in downtown Saratoga.
One of the less impressive Residents Inns that I've been to and the pictures online are much more grand however the staff more than makes up for that. I'm stuck between 3 and 4*. "Residence Inn Mix" - beer, wine and soda included - Monday was Swiss cheese cubes, celery, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, hummus, pita chips, ranch dip and chocolate cake... - Tuesday was burgers, salad, watermelon and chocolate cheesecake - Wednesday was catered from a local sports bar. Offerings included, chicken sliders, chicken fingers, buffalo wings, BBQ chicken, soft pretzels with cheese dip and celery sticks. The kitchen staff was incredibly thoughtful at these "mixes", around the time they started cleaning up they would walk around and ask the guests if they would like to take the extras for lunch the following day. This was awesome customer service. Pros: - Free pickup/drop off shuttle into downtown and Amtrak. I was here for 2 weeks because of work and I was able to schedule a morning drop off every day. - Employees were super nice. Gary you were the best! - Decent breakfast and sometimes good dinners. - Free WiFi - Guest laundry room - Complimentary toiletries: toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, sewing kits, mouth wash, ect. Just ask at the front desk :) - Parking was easy Cons: - The room had a strong odor - not exactly a stink but whatever cleaning supply or air spray they use is strong. - The interior of the entire building is a little dated and although my room was clean - you can see stains on the carpet and the bathroom floor tile was cracked. - Garbage collection is twice a week and it's ridiculously loud at 5:30 in the morning. I like to sleep with the windows open but the loud banging was unbearable so I had to close them. - Far from everything, nothing is in walking distance and all the delivery places are pretty pricey with their added delivery fees. walking into downtown takes around 40 minutes and although doable it's a little inconvenient. - While I love that this hotel is dog friendly, you can hear them sometimes barking through the walls and one time the elevator smelled like urine. I wish the walls were thicker. - I was on the second floor and I could hear the people above me running around. - Gym was pretty small with 4 machines, a bench and some free weights. - Oven was really dirty, I tried to warm up some food and it started smoking from not being properly cleaned. There was residue all over the bottom - I wonder if this could be a potential fire hazard.
We often stay at Residence Inns. Usually a good value. Larger room with living and kitchen area. Excellent Variety at breakfast... Eggs, ham, fruit, cereal, yogurt, muffins, etc. pool and fitness centers. This one was in a very strange location. Difficult to find. Should be better signed.
Saratoga Springs NY Residence Inn is a wonderful place to stay either for business or pleasure. It is spotless, the staff is very accommodating, it is conveniently located and did I mention it is spotless??? The room we had was lovely, quiet and very well appointed. Our coffee pot did not work, and I called guest services and we had a replacement within minutes. The young man who brought it actually made sure it worked before he left. All of the staff that we interacted with were super. In particular the breakfast staff! Mary is WONDERFUL! This is a place I recommend, and will stay again, and again. We have family here and this is where we will come back to time and again.
