Would not recommend, rude staff and bad stay.

Rude person at front desk in the night when I went to check, kept telling me no booking no room until I pulled out my hotels.com confirmation. Then kept mumbling while checking me in. Very uncomfortable bed and loud construction noises since early morning. Seems the hotel houses homeless or something cause the people in the hallway and breakfast room were giving those vibes. Breakfast was basic with a side of flies on the fruit and cheese. Area is a total ghetto be very careful

The hotel is close to the Republic Plaza, close to the downtown. The hotel room and the breakfast are ok. The neighborhood does not feel safe. The staff do not speak English, and they do not even have a local map, a situation we never ran into before. When I asked them to help me to get a taxi, instead of calling some number, some staff just went outside and disappeared for a few minutes. The n he returned with a taxi, and he got into some argument with the taxi driver, who later told me that the staff wanted some money from him. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Nicest hotel in Centro

New and modern hotel in Centro. Nicest hotel in the area. Easy 5 minutes access to metro {Republica) and other areas of city. Pleasantly surprised when walking in, new and modern. Check in was assisted by Fernando, one of the owners and a great manager. He made the process nice and easy. Greatly appreciated. Room was clean and modern with up to date furnishings. Keyed elevator and electronic "do not disturb". Cleaning staff very warm and helpful. Breakfast had all the essentials and good quality. scrambled eggs and two different types of meat along with various pastries/cakes and selection of fruit. Felt very secure inside hotel, and friendly assistance from Rafael, security and doorman. Very nice hotel for the price and nicest hotel in area. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would stay again.

How about....no?

An okay hotel. Neighborhood isn't really good for walking around after 7pm. Hotel room was a little dirty and the service is really noisy in the morning. Wouldn't stay again unless I absolutely needed to.

Decent local stay

This is a medium range option in the eastern part of town, near to Largo do Arouche, which has a number of places to hang out and eat. It is pretty local/Brazilian oriented and at a quite good price. Most tourists would not stay in this area. The hotel is basic, but comfortable. The bed was firm but nice enough. Bathroom good size and in good shape. The staff were sufficiently helpful, though a bit too concerned with their own cell phones and activities.

Recepcionista muito querida e atenciosa , mas infelizmente o hotel não é bom , quarto tem tamanho bom , mas mal cheiro é sujo, tive dificuldade de dormir por causa do mal cheiro , o café da manhã também é muito fraco só tinha pão e queijo, presunto e algumas frutas , quando eu e minhas amigas fomos tomar o café ele acabou tivemos q pedir pra repor , faltava xícaras e talheres .

A expectativa era de um hotel simples com bom custo x benefício, mas neste caso só temos o custo mesmo e bastante questionável. Apesar da boa vontade dos funcionários, a experiência foi horrorosa tendo em vista a localização em uma área não bem frequentada, principalmente à noite. Além disso, e o pior de tudo, foi o fato de ainda termos que conviver com a presença de baratas no quarto e no banheiro. Pedimos a mudança de quarto, nos mudaram para um quarto com banheiro um pouquinho melhor e em outro andar, mas, infelizmente e terrivelmente com o mesmo problema de baratas. Neste caso, encontramos uma pequena no banheiro, ou seja, a infestação está generalizada no hotel mesmo com as dedetizações alegadamente efetuadas por eles.
