Cave room was amazing. Balcony view of caldera beautiful- what you would see in the Santorini pictures and magazines. Received a two bedroom, two bath with kitchenette and livingroom. Beds are soft and linens nice. Shuttle and check in were prompt and all staff were multi-lingual including english. Remember where you are: Steps and rooms are built on the side of a cliff in concrete. Oozing character though. Not recommended for limited mobility. Continental breakfast ok- Greek yogurt good, view great.

The hotel is super clean, well equipped, stylish and fresh overall in fact. Our room was really quiet with effective air conditioning controls. The staff were beyond amazing. They were so warm and friendly. They were professional and showed great hospitality and did the best they could to accommodate all needs. They also helped out with planning trip as far as food spots places to go out and transportation Loved them. Good value for money considering some other hotel prices. I would recommend Residence suites to anyone staying in Santorini looking for a base location to explore from.

Amazing rooms/view/location! The interior is modern and very clean. Well beyond my expectations!!!The staff was phenomenal and the location is perfect! especially the porter, who couldn't have been more helpful. Very spacious and bright. It felt like home. I'm definitely booking it again for my next year vacation. We loved our stay here and will keep it in mind any time we are in Santorini.

The worst place you can stay in Oia . We booked directly with the hotel . They charged us 500€ Per day for a 2 bedroom cave house . It was the filthiest ,stinking place . You first check in on the main street office in Oia . Then u are taken to the hotel site ,where an old lady explained XYZ of the place . Then on to our rooms . All of this via steep steep steps . I understand Oia is on the slope but , these were treacherous steps . The washbasin in the bathroom had an open outlet . The shower area floor had not been scrubbed in years. The water flooded after a bath . Our complaints fell on deaf ears. The second bathroom was a hole in he wall , a shower over the WC ! Nothing felt clean . We were miserable for 3 nights . The last night electricity also went . You could contact no one coz the phone in the room was also gone . Reception was far away and anyway it is unmanned post 5 pm . The breakfast : yuck yuck yuck . We went for breakfast on the first day and dared not go back after that . Cold eggs ,stale bread ,lukewarm tea/ coffee. And there were flies around !!! Very unfriendly couple of ladies run the show . Stay here at your own risk . Horrible place .

This was my first trip to Greece and if there was one blip in our 2 week trip it was our stay at Residence Suites Oia. We took a two bedroom villa. It was dirty, housekeeping was shoddy, the bathrooms were both terrible, water from the wash basin would not drain and had this perpetual damp smell. We paid a lot for this villa and it was not worth 1/2 the money we paid for it. The breakfast was also so bad, we didn't even eat it after the first day and chose to eat at the cafes in the village instead. We even enquired at other hotels to see if we could move out after the first night but since I was travelling with my family we needed two rooms which was unavailable for all the remaining nights. The only positives were the stunning views and the very helpful porter ( who's name I wish I could remember to quote it here) who helped us carry our bags up and down those precarious narrow steps. Oia is a stunning place with beautiful vistas, lovely people, and quaint cafes and restaurants, don't ruin your trip and waste your money by staying here, pick anything else.

Let me start by saying the view and the staff are the big plus with this hotel. The staff are very warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome and the views are great. All the other recent reviews are pretty accurate. The views are mainly from the breakfast balcony and not your room. Photos are not what you get. As you can see in the photos our "superior cave with Caldera view" which we paid extra for, was a cave with no windows at all and the view was from our tiny balcony, not our room, which was impeded somewhat by the balcony ahead of us and also the constant stream of the general public looking for photos walking past us. Our balcony was no wider than 2 chairs which was close to the next room and shared an entrance with 3 rooms so not private or relaxing at all. The breakfast is fresh and adequate and the room was not "superior" at all. It is a 3 star hotel with 5 star views and the best staff we have come across in Greece who were warm and friendly - would definitely return because of the staff and views. Location was excellent.

Yes. There are a lot of stairs. Yes, the hotel needs a "refreshment" but it is all worth it for the location and the service we received from the staff. From meeting us at our shuttle, carrying our bags to and from our room, we couldn't have been more pleased. We had a gorgeous view and our own little balcony, where we could see Oia. You check in down the street, but you can arrange to have someone meet you to help with your bags and show you where you're supposed to go. It's very easy. Stairs...well, it's a good thing I work out, but it was worth it.

We had a beautiful lady that made us feel very welcome after our terrible start to Santorini. The check-in is not even in the hotel for one but located in one of the main lanes with the shops. The wifi was a complete joke like did not even work unless you were on the balcony and even then it didn't even work. The buffet breakfast was actually pathetic like very basic and was in the reception area. The tv had like one channel and even then the reception was so bad. The view was absolutely magnificent and redeemed everything that went wrong for us. For how much we paid, it was definitely a rip off and I definitely will not be going back. WARNING: Lots and lots of steps

Enjoyed our 3 nights stay here in March! Service was very good! They provide free pick-up service at the seaport. After check-in, they carry our 'big' luggage up and down the steps to our room. Our requests such as extra blanket, clean-up of the sink area (dusty due to volcano ashes), etc were well acceded to. We had a room facing the caldera! Great View! As it is off season, there's not many people; we had the whole balcony to ourselves! Breakfast was at the reception building which is a short walk away. Buffet spread was average. Wi-fi signal not very good in the room but good at the balcony. Location is good: easy walk to main street where shops and restaurants are. Sunset point is nearby. Bus stop to Fira is also a short walk away. We would like to thank Madalin (Jack) who has made our stay very enjoyable! He is very friendly and always there to help.

Excellent Hotel in Oia, would definitely recommend. When you check in, you head to a separate location which is near the main street, they call the hotel and a man will come and assist you with your bags and take you to the hotel (which you would never find if he did not assist you). I checked in and the hotel was great, the ladies were all lovely and made me feel welcome and at home. My room did not have an ocean view as such but did have a private balcony across the walkway which I was advised was my private balcony – I was roped off. The room was large, a lounge area, with seating and TV and a bedroom and even a secondary single bedroom (which was where I stored my bags etc. There was a small walk-in wardrobe and a nice bathroom. There is wifi in the hotel, but remember that this is a cave based hotel and wifi and 4G was not very good, worked perfectly well outside, but in the hotel room itself, was not so good. Not a major, but something to keep in mind if you are reliant on communications via your cell phone. Location is excellent, keep in mind though that if you are not too good on your feet, this may not be the place for you as you do need to navigate some steep steps and they are not exactly level – but that’s all part of the fun of Santorini. I was very happy in the Residence Suites and would definitely stay here again.
