Cannot say enough food things about this property and the staff. The staff were accommodating for every need I had. The food was very good and the pool area is beautiful and private. The rooms are nicely decorated and the shower had nice hot water. The property is a very short walk to the beach and is safe to walk at night. They also had a room to change and even shower if your flight is later and you have to check out.
It was an absolute pleasure staying in Marillia Village. It's a very homie, welcoming and friendly enviroment and the staff are absolutely wonderful and veryyyyy helpful! It's in a great location, just 5mins walk to the beach! Definitely reccommend Marilia Village! :-)
From arrival to departure we felt so well looked after. The staff could not do enough for us and helped us plan our 3 day stay on Santorini by suggesting activities to booking restaurants. The room was lovely and clean and very welcoming. There was a small pool, outdoor whirl pool and baby pool and plenty of sun beds. The breakfast had a good choice of items. The beach was 80 metres from the actual complex but easy to get to. On the beach there were sun beds with parasols made of palm leaves. We would thoroughly recommend this complex.
Not sure I get the good reviews here. In fact Santorini as a whole seems to be pretty average in my view compared to Italy or Thailand or other beach places. However this hotel has a few issues which in my view makes the cost of the hotel far too overpriced. On arrival to the hotel in a beach resort, it would be nice to sit down fill in the forms and have a drink of something after a tedious immigration queue etc on arrival. Instead you stand at the desk and get a pitch on taking a boat cruise etc which is really the last thing you want to be deciding the minute you turn up. We were shown to the room carrying our bags and the door was opened and the host walked off and left us to it. I know it isn't rocket science to work out a room but usually it's nice to have someone explain how the air con works, shower what's included in mini bar etc Rooms were basic, air con had only one temperature- 25 degrees or nothing. Pool we didn't use because we're just had flies landing in us non stop which was so irritating. Basically had to shake your arms and legs about non stop to avoid flies attacking you. Not the hotels fault but meant we couldn't use the pool. We went to the beach. Breakfast- I just could not face it. Sausages from a tin, over done eggs, flies buzzing about, fake juice, tinned peaches. Just not acceptable in a £200-300 a night hotel. Nothing fake or tinned should be served period. Just had coffees and went outside for lunch. The breakfast experience basically made us not want to eat there for the rest of our stay as we would assume other things are tinned and not fresh. Woman serving breakfast was pretty grumpy both mornings. We felt like we were intruding taking items at times as she was so focused on cleaning plates and so forth and look exasperated if we took a clean plate. I would not pay more than £100 per night for this and even that would be pushing it. They could personalise the reception and overhaul the breakfast offerings quite easily. I saw another hotel nearby which looked much nicer and I am annoyed we didn't find that when searching. I'm grateful we are leaving today for another hotel.
We were staying at Marillia Village from Aug 29th to Sep 1st. the hotel was perfect and very quiet. The location was in the outer area of the Santorini, walking distance from the beach and away from the beach noises, it had plenty of bars, restaurant and mini markets nearby in the beach. One restaurant we would recommend is Psarotaverna O Perivolos, highly known for its seafood. The staff was super friendly and hospitable especially Martha. To explore the island you need transportation, one choice is local buses and there was a bus station in front of the hotel but you have to wait a time for bus. Hotel has a parking if you rent a car. The entrance of the hotel is amazing and beautifully decorated with flowers. The room is nice and clean. You have daily cleaning service. The pool was not too big but it was a good size. There was a pool bar and you can order drinks, snacks and food. There were shelves filled with different kind of books, you could read when you are by the pool. The breakfast was very yummy and you had enough choices. The chef Fotini cooked great meals. We tried burger, salads, pizza and pasta and all were very fine. We defiantly will come back again.
We came here for a family holiday and stayed for 10 days. It was an amazing location and does exactly what it says on the tin, the rooms were spacious and were cleaned daily. A very relaxing location and only minutes from the beach. We had a ball here and the staff were very friendly and loved interacting with our 3 year old son. Everyone was very attentive and going out of their way to help. We made the right choice and will return one day. Thank you
A great little resort of just 20 rooms with a lovely pool area and well kept grounds. Felt so much nicer than the big resort of Santo Mare over the road. The food was outstanding and we ate on our terrace every evening. Great prices too. Fotini the cook made our special request of moussaka on our last evening which was delicious. Iro and Martha on reception were really helpful. Would highly recommend.
We were a large group and only got bigger as the holiday progressed, due to other family members flying out, we basically took over this hotel for the duration of our stay..:o) The staff here are amazing, they accommodated us all, even our friends who were staying at other hotels, nothing was too much trouble. Martha is a great asset to this hotel, as were the bar staff, who took everything in their stride even when we all wanted serving at once! Big shout out to the evening barman Chris for his amazing cocktails, and advice on local restaurants. The island is beautiful and I would love to go back one day, and would definitely stay at Marillia Village. Thank you guys so much for making our stay special.
We had such a lovely time, staff was great very friendley, near the beach, restaurants, and bars, staff could not do enough for you lovely people, want to come back soon. The pool was good had small pool for children, and snacks at lunch time which was very good.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The staff were incredible! The hotel was perfect! And of course Santorini was simply amazing. I'd stay here again, steps away from the beaches. You definitely need transportation to explore the island because this place is located at the outer part of the island. Perfect for quiet evenings and not as expensive as the central hotels!
