I visited this hotel in the month of May 2019 with my husband. Given the price we paid, the room was pretty basic (don't know why it is so expensive). The bathroom was very cramped and no shower curtain. The hotel is ideally located with main Fira bus station at just walking distance. Since it was very windy and raining occasionally, they didn't serve breakfast near pool area and asked us to get it yourself to the room. They didn't provide room service for breakfast. Considering the number of steps to go down to breakfast area and carrying those heavy trays of breakfast all by yourself on those slippery wet steps with no help of hotel staff while coming up was risky. I was disappointed by their service. Otherwise the rooms were clean and the sheets were fresh and clean. Not to forget the stunning views of caldera from the balcony!! Overall had a good time staying here.

Stayed a fortnight here and loved it. You never tire of the fabulous view of the caldera and the ships coming and going. Yes there are a lot of steps, but you expect that in Santorini - it’s not a place for anyone with mobility issues or who is not reasonably fit. Our room was beautifully clean. The bathroom was small but fine. It’s simple and plain white but it is meant to look traditional and cave like and you don’t expect a room on a Greek island which is like a room in a big hotel chain in a city. The bed was very comfortable. Our room had its own private terrace which was lovely, with two chairs and a table and two deckchairs. We could see the sunset from our terrace. Breakfast is served down by the pool and you can sit overlooking the caldera. The breakfast is quite simple but with cooked items like scrambled egg and bacon as well as Greek specialties, which change daily. It was absolutely fine. It’s only a small hotel so you are not going to get the variety you would in a much larger hotel. The room doesn’t come with a kettle but we just asked for one as well as some mugs so we were able to have a cup of tea on our terrace. There is a fridge which you can use to store water or wine (!) if you move out the minibar water and cans of pop. Wine glasses and a corkscrew are provided. The staff were all very friendly. Firostefani is a great location. It is a 15 minute walk to the bus station in Fira from where you can catch a bus for only a couple of euros to the beach at Kamari or Perissa or Akrotiri to see the excavations or Oia. We found the buses very efficient - they are coaches so some air con and run every 20 mins or so to most places. We thought we would need to hire a car but didn’t need to as the buses are fine. Firostefani itself has plenty of good restaurants and a few souvenir type shops as well as a minimart. It doesn’t get as busy as Fira with the crowds from the cruise ships but is a very pretty little place with lovely views. You can walk along the coast to Imerovigli and Skaros Rock. Would definitely recommend Firostefani as a location and would stay at this hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Rooms were very clean and the view from our room was amazing. We booked a superior room with volcano view.Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near to Fira, about 5 min by car. The negative part was that there were many steps in order to go to our room and also many steps to the pool part were breakfast was served. Breakfast was average with no variety and food was not fresh. Also there are no signs of the hotel and is a little bit difficult to find it.

Unforunately more cons for us. Way too many stairs, counted 108 stairs to our room. Rooms were too "cavelike" for our likings, a bit of a musty smell, 1 tiny window, very rustic, extremely old tiny bathroom. That being said, the management was very nice, and the views from the hotel were spectacular. We ended up moving to another hotel, which was the right move for us.

This was a lovely hotel. It was exceptionally clean. The staff was friendly and always available. Great restaurants within walking distance. The view was spectacular and the sunsets could be enjoyed from our room. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. Would recommend.

Very nice and clean place, in a great location. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast lovely selection buffet style. It is very well looked after, but it looks slightly plain indoors as there are no decoration like pictures on the plain white alls. Bathroom we had in our room was small, but functional.

Sold by TUI as a 4 star hotel, but it isn't even close. 2 star would be a more appropriate rating. Firstly, the good is the view over the caldera but that's where the good ends Our room was laughably a 'Junior Suite'. There was nothing suite about it, and the list of bad features is endless: - A grotesque tiny bathroom that resulted in everything getting soaked every time the shower was used (and no, it's not designed as a wet room). - We had to ask for toilet rolls (several times) - The room safe was on the floor of the small wardrobe, which therefore required you to be on your hands and knees to operate. Our safe was broken on arrival and we are advised that they knew about this and that it would 'probably be looked at maybe tomorrow' - Disgusting full sized fridge that was supposed to be a mini-bar - £9.99 sofa positioned to cover up pipes and cables sticking out of the wall - Nothing open between 8pm and 8am and no tea and coffee facilities in the room. After complaints we were provided with a kettle and cups to keep until we left, which resulted in us having to wash these in the bathroom sink daily as these were not replaced by house keeping. - Pool bar (which is a stretch as a description), closed at 4pm with a chain and padlock over the bar, which is actually just a fridge, complete with mop and bucket beside it - Old fashioned deckchairs on the terrace, rather than sunbeds Don't be fooled by the nice pictures of whitewashed buildings

We spent 2 hours in the rain looking for this place. Wasted our entire morning. Called the hotel asking where they are located because the GPS location was useless. Place was no where to be seen. The hotel staff was rude and didn't give very good details about where the location was. When we simply asked for a refund so we could get another place and get out of the rain, they refused. We ended up staying somewhere else and eating the charges because they wouldn't refund. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend staying there.

Lots of steps but what a view! The room was rather simple but lovely and the breakfast very good with enough choices to please most. We loved the convenience of being able to walk to the restaurants and shopping. And the view NEVER GETS OLD!!! :)

The first thing I noticed was the view. Its the only place I've been where the view looks better than the post cards. The staff are the hardest working people I've seen while on Vacation. Very friendly also. We booked a rental car and a catamaran trip thru the resort and they were terrific. One tip if you stay there. I highly recommend it
