I typically never write reviews on TripAdvisor, but the experience I had with Andronis Arcadia warrants a phenomenal review. We travelled as a family of four and stayed in their Two bedroom villa with private pool. The room is duplex style with a small heated private pool approximately the size of a jacuzzi. There are two king size beds that are both extremely comfortable with high quality sheets, comforters and linens. There is a small seating area on each floor in addition to each bedroom. The rooms are extremely spacious and we felt like there was ample room for the four of us. The bathrooms have luxurious flood showers with excellent water pressure and great heat. The duplex felt private and was also very quiet. We could lay out at our pool without people watching us or feeling like our privacy was being invaded. Small thoughtful touches such as a sponge scrubber and loofa really set this hotel apart. Cons about the room are that the duplex style segregates the two bedrooms and as a result, I felt slightly disconnected from my other family members who were staying in the bedroom on the other floor. Another con is that the hotel rooms are quite recessed from the ocean. Thus, the room’s view of the ocean is quite distant and includes a large expanse of dirt before the ocean. The hotel itself is in the style of minimalistic chic with a modern desert theme. The reception area and restaurant are beautifully decorated and the pool area is pristine. They even have a bar built into the pool that allows convenient access to cocktails. You truly feel like you’re at a luxury hotel when laying by the pool. It must be noted that the hotel is still undergoing construction. The spa is still not finished and I believe that finishing touches are still being placed on one of the restaurants. Another issue that you should be aware of is that much of the area surrounding the hotel is still unfinished and is comprised of empty dirt lots. This made for a big issue when the wind picked up, as it spread dust/dirt into the air and property. Now for the superb parts of the hotel that made our stay memorable: 1) the staff and hospitality The hospitality at this hotel is unmatched and the best I have ever seen. I travel quite frequently both domestically and internationally and have visited 20+ countries. Furthermore, I am from Los Angeles and often visit local luxury hotels that are supposedly some of the best in the world. However, the staff at this hotel is the most hospitable i have witnessed. I especially recommend the restaurant manager named Paris who is quite possibly the world’s best employee in the service industry. PLEASE LOOK FOR PARIS IF YOU STAY AT THIS HOTEL — he is excellent and will make your meal experience at the restaurant heavenly. I could not recommend Paris enough for a job well done. I would also like to recommend and thank Alex, the hotel manager for going above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. 2) the restaurant Quite possibly the best lunch and dinner I have ever experienced. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Quite pricy but worth it. Highlights include the sea bass baked in a shell of salt, the tuna sushi, grilled prawns and more. We also did the wine tasting experience and loved every moment of it. Although there are a surplus of great restaurants in oia, I truly feel like the restaurant in the hotel is better than anything santorini has to offer. 3) sunset view We stayed at oia castle before coming to andronis and had remarkable views of the setting sun over the caldera. The experience here was completely different and just as remarkable. The sun sets over the ocean, with drink in hand, and a DJ playing deep house mixed with funky Greek music. What an experience. Overall, this hotel is incredible. It does have some kinks to work out as a new hotel, but I would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend this hotel. Above all, please seek out Paris for an incredible dining experience you won’t regret. My family and I will always remember our amazing experience!
The Andronis Arcadia is a wonderful and ultra-luxe hideaway which not only offers the biggest infinity pool in entire Santorini but also the most amazing sunset views you can imagine. It is an oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of beautiful Oia and shields you off effectively from the crowds fighting for the best spot to watch the glowy sunset. The suites are large and feature a heated plunge pool as well as a large rainforest shower. There is no bathtub, but your private pool serves as an oversized one. However, you cannot really swim in there, as it is too shallow and too small in size. The 50m infinity pool makes up for it and oh my, is it stunning. Mesmerizing views, refreshing water and vast in size, it offers the ultimate mix between relaxation and excitement, pairing comfy lounges with well-padded sunbeds, an integrated jacuzzi and a funky pool bar. The whole property has a Mykonos/Ibiza vibe to it with reggae music blasting from the pool deck, a DJ setting the mood for dinner with electronic beats and an armada of handsome, charming and well-mannered waiters swarming around in their white polos to serve you icy cocktails and chilled champagne. Once you‘re settled in, you probably don‘t want to leave the resort anymore. Breakfast is served à la carte by the pool area and comes well presented to your table. You have a decent choice of freshly-made smoothies / juices, plenty of egg variations, a well-stocked yoghurt cart and an assembly of breads, jams, cold cuts, cheese platters and smoked fish to be tried out. I especially loved the avocado-lime-mash on freshly toasted wholegrain-bread, the salted cheese from Greece and the poached eggs prepared to perfection (without the help of vinegar which usually ruins the taste of the egg yolk, good job!). Despite their well-known sushi bar they unfortunately don‘t serve any for breakfast and overall little exotic fruits. Apples and pears are fine, but I would have loved to enjoy a cup of fresh berries or mango cubes in the morning as well. Also, their plates could be more impressive by offering more variety in (non-Greek) cheese, like Brie, Swiss cheese or a decent Mozzarella. Nevertheless, you will be stuffed and floating around happily in the sunshine by midday, I swear! During and after sunset you can either retreat to your suite, explore the lively city or stay at the pool-area. I stayed around for sushi and also tried the chef’s choice of sashimi, which was delicious and nicely presented. I had sushi twice in Santorini and it was mediocre at best, however this place gets it right. Let the tuna belly (toro) and salmon (sake) melt right in your mouth while you are watching the last cruise ships depart and head out into the night. The pool area is nicely lit and gets shielded off by glass walls should it get too windy. Overall, there is little not to love. However, bear in mind, this property is still in a soft opening phase. Constructions are still on-going, maintenance people swarm the compound, the gym and the fine dining restaurant haven‘t opened yet. The air smells of fresh paint and glue, warm water might not instantly work in your suite and an occasional power cut could occur at night. I wished that the hotel had informed me before my arrival about these short-comings, but the excellent and good-hearted staff make up for it. I would love to revisit the hotel next summer and see how it has developed. For those looking for a Wellness hotel in Santorini, don‘t miss out their partner hotel in Imerovigli (Andronis Concept). As a guest of Andronis Arcadia they will happily drive you there and let you enjoy their well-renowned spa treatments. For those of you arriving at the port - please, please, please - use one of the hotels drivers and spare you the hassle of taking a local shuttle. You do not want to spend 2 hours in a mini-van packed with people to finally get you to Oia. I speak from experience... And no matter which accommodation you will choose for your travels, rest assured, Santorini is a magnificent and visually stunning island, a piece of paradise and a place that will make you leave with a smile. Enjoy!
My husband and I along with our 2 year old son recently returned from our trip in Greece and we cannot stop talking or thinking about the highlight of our trip in Santorini mainly our wonderful stay at Andronis Arcadia. We had an amazing time from the moment we arrived at the hotel with the welcoming staff, welcome bottle of wine in our room and a great set up in our suit. Our sunset view in our room was breathtaking. The staff is so attentive, helpful and professional. They gave us great recommendations from activities such as the catamaran tour, wine tasting, best sea food (the Ammoudi fish tavern). The amenities at this wonderful retreat is great. The manager set up a complimentary spa day for my husband and I at the sister property, Andronis Concept for an afternoon while there was some construction near our room that morning. They serve the best breakfast, which is included. The vibe of the restaurant and pool lounge/bar is so sexy with the view of the Aegean Sea, gorgeous sunset and fantastic music as you sip on your favorite cocktail or Santorini wine and mingle. The staff was so attentive to our toddler boy and he really enjoyed the attention. They even treated him with a cake celebration for his birthday 😊 Paying attention to little details by the staff has made a big impact on how we feel about Andronis and I thank them all. We look forward to our future visits here with our family/friends. We highly recommend this place. Cheers.
This new addition to the Andronis Hotel collection is perhaps the most outstanding. The location is only steps away from the shoppes and restaurants in Oia but perfectly tucked away in a private area overlooking the Aegean Sea with full views of the incredible sunsets without the crowds. What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. We went for our 25th anniversary celebration and my husbands birthday. Their attention to detail to make both occasions special was extraordinary. The staff was genuinely happy to assist with all our needs and went way above and beyond to make this one of our all time favorite memory and place to stay, and we travel a lot. A special shout out to the hotel manager Alex and front desk staff Tim and Florentia for all your great service.
My then girlfriend and I stayed at Andronis Arcadia in June 2019 and had the greatest experience possible. During this trip, I proposed to my girlfriend and the hotel staff helped set the whole thing up. From the amazing champagne service when we first checked in, to the tremendous service throughout (in helping me coordinate the proposal in the swimming pool terrace). The hotel has the best sunset views in all of Santorini, as evidenced by the amazing sunset proposal pictures we were able to take. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back here in the future for our anniversary.
We recently stayed at this new facility in Oia, Santorini and we cannot say enough about our experience! The service is excellent, the sunset views are breath taking, and the location is convenient and walkable. We had a room with a private pool which made for the perfect compliment to the shops and restaurants a short walk away. Highly recommended!
