We stayed in the jetted tub room which had a fantastic view of the ocean and we also watched the sunset which was amazing The rooms are decent sized and are modern Only downside is it's not in the central location of the shops etc but isn't a far drive away
The hotel receptionist was so rude which, if it had not been for how beautiful it all looked, would have made me walk away immediately. Thankfully the valet was a happy and welcoming chap. I was led down flights of stairs (expect that in Santorini) to my room...fabulous! Bedroom, lounge, balcony overlooking the sea, spa bath, great bathroom and dressing area. It was a joy to settle on the balcony with a glass of red and a ciggy and just take in the view. The pool area needed some attention and whilst the restaurant was staffed by welcoming and friendly staff, it lacks atmosphere and patronage. On my second night I went to the hotel next door (Volcano View) and was welcomed enthusiastically and had a great meal and met some lovely people. I would probably choose to stay there next time (sorry Azzuro...you need to lift your game).
This hotel is so beautiful it doesn't deserve this kind of people working there. Front desk is awful, we flew more than 10 hours and unfortunately we landed at 8 am, when we talked to her she didn't even make an effort to see if they had anything available, she said "check in is at 3pm" and they only thing she could do for us was keep or bags OUTSIDE in a box with all the sun directly to it. We had no choice but walk around to kill some time (7 hours). The rest of the staff was ok, good breakfast, nice rooms, crazy gorgeous view very good location! In case the owner is wondering why all the unsatisfied customer, IS YOUR STAFF, GET NEW PEOPLE WITH A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! This can totally be a 5 stars hotel with the right people.
Stayed at Azzurro for our honeymoon. Such an amazing place with an even more amazing view. The location was in Fira but a lot easier to access the hotel with luggage etc than other places in Oia. Staff were amazing.
Our second stay at Azzurro and I must say the place is very very nice ! However if they made some very small changes it would have got 5 stars from me. The whole hotel and the rooms needs a little bit of TLC , not much just a little and it would be perfect. The views are stunning, we stayed in an infinity jacuzzi room which was amazing , book one of these and ask for room 15 or 16 ! The breakfast is really good and the restaurant/breakfast area has amazing views. The staff and check in process are OK but the staff could be a little friendlier and helpful at reception . All in all it’s amazing , just a few slight changes .
View from the room was amazing. Unblocked caldera view, we got the one with private jacuzzi. Room and toilet a little run down, but balcony and view was perfect. Breakfast was good, served in a clubhouse with a nice view. They should improve on their customer service and feedback as before arrival I have sent 3 emails but I got no response at all from any emails, till I had to trouble my previous hotel to give them a call. Overall nice big hotel with good view, but abit overcrowded and overpriced.
Great hotel views, very beautiful and clean. Close to markets and city centre. Very romantic and detailed Traditional Santorini place with caldera views and clear sunset and port. Not to be missed and the price is reasonable
- Pros: Very nice view of the Caldera and the sea, room is very spacious and feels like luxury - Cons: Hot tubs are not private like they are shown in the pictures - the rest of the hotel can see into your hot tub area, restaurant food was undercooked for dinner, far away from Fira (Hotel will arrange a 8 euro taxi to Fira town or 25 euro taxi anywhere else), nearest bus stop is Mexican Restaurant (please read this, as no one actually seems to know) which is a 5 minute walk and busses come every hour. - Overall: Hotel is a very overpriced for the experience offered - would not stay again.
Don’t ever go there. They are very rude and they forced us out of room without any reason in the last day at 9.00 because other people came in even if we had booked and paid. The rooms were very dirty as well
Just visited for vacation w/ a friend and was immediately stunned by the beautiful views this place offers, as well as the beauty of the hotel itself. Our room was not ready when we arrived (in the morning) but we were easily able to use the washroom to change and then have lunch and hang out by the infinity pool - which is insanely gorgeous. We were surprised by how few people were around considering the high-season (though many honeymooning couples may have stayed in their rooms :) We always got a chair to lay on and had fun taking pictures & meeting the few lovely couples that did join while we were there. Our first room was fine but the bathroom smelled due to poor circulation. An easy fix we made a note of. We had previously decided to upgrade our room the 2nd night to a balcony view and it was incredible. The staff here is wonderful! Everyone nice, accommodating, and VERY hard workers. Especially the Handyman (as others have noted - I think his name is Miros?) was constantly running around and bringing bags, cleaning pools, etc. He was so sweet and was sure to learn our names. And the restaurant staff was wonderful as well. I think the other reviewers don't have an appreciation for the situation in Greece and that everyone works 7 days a week. They were understaffed a bit and overworked, but never once was anyone rude - always beyond kind in fact. Anna at the front desk helped us get taxis to the surround areas including Kamari, Oia, and we enjoyed them all. We were mostly happy to enjoy the hotel though! She even ordered us a massage in our room & I'm so sad I didn't catch his name because he was amazing! This was a great deal considering how expensive Oia and other parts of Santorini were and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you! ευχαριστώ OH also the Volcano View next door was a great place to pop over and have a slight change of scenery and food in their restaurant. The sunset from either hotel is amazing (who needs the crowds in Oia when you can watch from your hotel!)
