This is an experience for sure. I stayed room 44, the Frank Doyle Room. Which led me down the rabbit who of who he was, instrumental force behind making the Golden Gate Bridge happen, worth reading up on. The hotel is a beautifully preserved piece of history, and it’s not gutted an modernized like so

Everything was great except that the wifi was so weak. At times it was even hard to load emails. Streaming anything was impossible. I contacted the front desk and they “reset the router” but it didn’t help. I hope they take care of this because otherwise it is a gem of a place. Charming, comfortable and friendly. But the terrible wifi out a huge wrench in my plans.
