Our place was very nice in quietest location on 30a. The company we rented through was very responsive and helpful. Loved the trip. The only thing that could be a little better are the pools. Glad one was heated though.

Reviewer Comments:
Family vacation was a great experience. This house was a perfect fit with 5 bedrooms and seating. Short walk to the beach. The pools are small, but still nice. Have to walk a little more than 1/2 mile for ice cream so most outings require a drive.

Reviewer Comments:
Communication was great answered all questions in a timely manner. The house was clean, nicely decorated with a warm and welcoming feel. Kitchen was fully stocked with lots of dishes/pots and pans, bring everything else if you plan to cook. Not enough seating in the living room area for our group of 12. And for us no tv's in the bedrooms was a minus. "The Ivory Tower" as we called it on the 3rd floor stayed a little warm as there were not blinds to cover the windows. The pools were on the small side but never crowded We used the 4 bikes but a golf cart would have been nice. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend.

Reviewer Comments:
Nice home, but wifi so weak you couldn’t stream movies and kids had difficulty doing online classes. No access to router made it impossible to check out wifi. Floors of home in dire need of mopping. Anyone who went with bare feet inside had black ones! As much as us paid for rental plus having to wait until 5:00 to get in, floors should be mopped between renters. Especially main floor. Also, couch needs replaced. It’s stained, worn, and very uncomfortable.

Reviewer Comments:
We travel to this area yearly with family so we look for a place that will accommodate our multi family gatherings that is somewhat affordable and within walking distance to the beach. We usually look for a place that has all the rooms for sleeping as well as a nice living/kitchen area that we can gather. We also look for a place that is well updated, clean, feels like home and it has to smell nice. So we look for a home away from home. This place fits most of what we look for. It was clean, roomy, and felt like home. The bike and hammock were nice. One down side is that it’s a long walk to the beach. It was about 2200 steps or about 3/4 mile away. This might not seem far, but as a fisherman, I have to lug my fishing poles, cooler and gear. So this was a burden every time. I reduced my gear to 2 fishing poles, my tackle gear back pack, and a cooler for my catch. Even with this minimal gear, it was still a tough walk. What I would like to have added to the place is a shower wand instead of the fixed shower heads, curtains or screens for the room on top, and more towels for the kitchen. some of the bikes pedal fell off for one of our riders. Overall we were happy with the place. I would recommend if you don’t mind the long walk.

Skip to the dunes was a wonderful home in a great location! We had 4 families total - parents, 6 adult children, and 4 grandchildren for a national lampoon style family vacay to Destin! 30A was a great stretch of beach. Very calm & easy to get to - although, don't plan on driving to the beach. The private access is a bit of a hike if you plan on bringing coolers/chairs. It is ~10 minute walk from the house, but be sure you have the donut style wheels on your wagon otherwise it won't roll. They do offer chair & umbrella rentals on the beach until 4-5pm, depending on the season. The home was very spacious and plenty of room for all of us. Master suite downstairs was perfect for my parents, who didn't want to climb many stairs, and the bunk room perfect for all 4 kids (9-14 yo). The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of dishes and cooking utensils/gadgets. Everything was very clean and Royal Destinations customer service was quick to respond and gave great detailed information. The only confusing part was finding the entrance to the private beach access, because the closest place to park is the east pool; although, they helped us understand that once we reached out. There is plenty to do in the 30A area, but keep in mind that although Destin is close in miles, traffic keeps it at around a 45 minute drive. We ventured to Destin proper a few times during our stay and after driving from Texas, it can get exhausting! :)My few recommendations would be to make sure you allow for time to get by one of the many Walmart's along the way. They did not give any coffee, waters, or seasonings to get you started and only allowed for 2 loads of laundry/dishes. Toilet paper and pillows could use an upgrade as well. The door locks and toilets were like traveling abroad, but found out that it was due to hurricane building standards!Overall, we would all stay there again! The neighborhood is gated and very safe for biking and walki
