I have stayed here before, always for a one night stay. In the past it was a good enough place for a night. Not a lot of amenities but comfortable. This time it was terrible, the room was noisy (the pipes from the bathroom I think). It reeked strongly of disinfectant and the window barely opened so it was hard to air out. The hallways also had plug ins in every outlet that were strongly scented, it was overwhelming. Also they have a kiosk check in now which I found frustrating.

The staff are not very professional in their work. I booked the stay from a third party. I asked for changing my check out date one day earlier. The third party told me that I needed to ask the hotel to do so. Then I asked the hotel front desk about it. The first thing they said was I need to contact the third party to get their approval. Then, I contacted the third party and asked the customer representative to call the hotel about the change and give me the receipt when I check out. Follow up, I asked the hotel to confirm it. The staff at hotel said that they cannot give me the receipt because I booked from a third party, but I told them that the third party representative said the hotel would give me the receipt. So I have to contact the third party representative the third time, asking them to call the hotel again for the receip because my order is a pay at property one. Finally, the hotel staff understood it is their responsibility to both change my check out date and provide the receipt. In short, I have asked the third party representative twice to called the this hotel to make my change worked.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was clean and we liked the decor of the rooms and lobby. Eddie the guy working in the kitchen, made delicious breakfast burritos!

Where do I begin? Just don’t do it. We stayed at The Sage, their sister hotel, in February. With the pee stained mattresses and no promised shuttle service, I should’ve known better than to stay at Coyote South. Let’s start with their extra fee for amenities like shuttle service. The girl at the front desk said that there was no shuttle service because they were short staffed, which is the main reason I chose to stay there. More on that later… The lobby is super cute and clean. It all ends there. Our shower wouldn’t drain, the towels felt like sand paper, you could feel the coils in the mattresses with one of the beds having urine stains by the pillow, the room smelled and looked dirty, you could hear every guest who arrived and left at all hours…. Back to the reason we chose this place: shuttle service to the Plaza and Railyards…. We ended up paying for a Lyft to take us on NYE. When the fireworks came to an end, I called a Lyft several times to no avail. My three kids and I ended up walking in freezing temperatures from Santa Fe Plaza to Coyote South. About five miles on Cerillos!!! We happened upon The Sage Hotel on our way, in hopes they could help us. A guy answered the door, said they were full and let us walk away with zero help. Three kids and a mom left to walk two hours in the cold. You were lucky if you could even find a staff member, much less a manager, so why even complain? The only semi decent part was the breakfast burritos. NEVER AGAIN.

Stay away from this trash property! Old ! horrible service ! Dirty and smells like somebody smoking next to you. Be prepare to hear dogs barks the whole night since it’s pets friendly and the walls are paper thin. When we just came to our room - we saw some hair on pillows and beddings and we asked to change it and how come it happened and the front desk person was so rude and told us that its Not a big deal and probably it’s because the cleaning ladies are with long hair.. Unbelievable! Second we asked for cleaning services since we stayed 3 nights and they never came to clean up or bring new towels or throw away the garbage and when we asked them why? We told that they just forgot.

It was a mess. I booked 3 rooms for 2 days, but the Hotel receptionist said they can see only 1 room booked. They somehow gave me 2 rooms and gave another room with 1 bed. Next day, they again moved me to another room. It was stressful.

Comfy bed and short drive to downtown plaza. Our room was spacious which was nice to have with a dog after a full day of driving. My only complaint was the bathroom floor was dirty with hair from previous guests and the tub did not drain. Lots of other guests or possibly the neighbors don’t pick up after their dogs around the property.
