When we arrived a kiosk greeted us from somewhere abroad. This is my first time checking into a hotel and not being greeted by someone on-site. It was weird, but he spoke great English and was very attentive. I would have given this place better ratings because the bed was comfortable and the place was very nice. However, they charged me $100 deposit. I did get that $100 back promptly. I am just not used to that. Also, when we walked in, the smell of bleach was so strong. We opened all the windows and it was still strong. I guess that is better than not cleaning enough. It was really close to the river and in a quiet area of Santa Cruz. So, overall, it was a good experience. It was just not what I am used to.

I liked how the small bedroom had it's own door, thus giving you more privacy. What I didn't like was how the window in the bedroom had no window screen at all.

This location was minutes from the Boardwalk. We didnt have to waste any time travelling to enjoy the beach!

Having a kitchenette in my room was a nice feature. The place has a slightly creepy vibe, there was obviously a big fire prior to my stay. The mattress seemed pretty old. The most basic of cable. But the staff seemed nice and the room was clean. And pretty quiet, which was nice (I've had other rooms in Santa Cruz that were very noisy). All in all, no real complaints.

No amenities, crappy room, rip off. Do not book here.

Horrible experience. Dirty. Old. Rude people. Door was broken.

Did not have anything like posted in the pictures I went to take a shower with the towels and they were all dirty the bed was dirty and check out time was 10 o’clock

Pretty run down inside and outside Staff was very nice though.

Nice proximity to Boardwalk. Nice staff. But it is reasonably priced for a reason. Rooms are beat up, mattresses are years past their prime and carpet is nasty. But if you need one night near the beach for cheap. This will work.

Cool room was a 2 bed ended up being 2 rooms in one

Great price for the location it’s a short walk to the boardwalk. The blinds were broken other than that decent room.

Very dirty, unsafe and parking is a nightmare. Police was there twice and it was Thursday I can’t imagine how the weekends are

The hotel is close to the beach but you got what you pay for

The carpet was filthy, no closet or hangers. The door locks are not secure and the blinds on the window were broken. The mattresses were mush. For $165 a night this place is a ripoff. Go somewhere else.

Great hotel if you like to stay up all night and do coke not so much if you want to sleep.

The worst, rude, bedbugs, sketchy. Seriously horrible place, stay anywhere else... Found a bedbug the morning before checking out. Staff was horribly rude. They let someone into my room to leave a note... It was the wrong room and my name is not Derrick. The whole place is a mess and the guy at the desk yelled at me whenever I had a legitimate issue. Horrible experience!
