It is immaculate, quiet, and very comfortable. Extra cleaning precautions are being taken to ensure your safety during COVID. And with so many people needing to be online these days, the highest internet speed available in the region is available.

This remodeled beach home’s focus is on comfort and relaxation. It has a peaceful, tropical feel throughout that puts you at ease, accented with unique art and handcrafted furnishings.



A spacious, open-concept floor plan keeps you connected, and the welcoming living and dining areas encourage you to sit down and enjoy time together.



Prepare a meal in the well-stocked gourmet kitchen and then enjoy it in the Balinese-inspired dining room.



Soft white towels, high-thread count sheets, and a collection of quality personal bath care items are available.



Beach Lover’s Retreat is another level of dog-friendly, with plush doggie beds, blankets and a dog-friendly & off-leash beach is just at the end of the street. Plus, the backyard is fenced for their safety and your convenience. One guest commented, “…my dog is still wondering why we had to come home.”



In-home entertainment abounds – provided are libraries of hundreds of hit movies, children(many Disney) movies, and multi-genre music CDs for your enjoyment!  A large family game collection is also available

The secure fenced backyard means you can let your children and four-legged companion run free. And there is an outdoor hot + cold shower for use after coming off the beach or when the pup has rolled in the sand all day.

Located just 5 to 10 driving minutes from the Boardwalk and Capitola, and 15 minutes from the eclectic Pacific Street shopping / dining downtown area. The home is 50ish minutes from Monterey and Carmel.

It was a nice house. but the front door code didn’t work and the hot water didn’t really function that well. Had to be left running forever to heat up. Check out time was confusing as it is listed in the house on the fridge as 11 and in text - strictly at 10. Main bed is so springy that if either person moved the whole bed shakes.

Spotless and convenient home close to the beach

We were very happy with Beach Lovers Retreat. It was exactly as described, spotlessly clean, with a terrific kitchen. Here was good flow between living room, kitchen, and outdoor space. The only issue I had was some difficulty with accessing the home through the front door in my wheelchair due to multiple levels of floor in a small space. The backyard had the essential large table easily accessed by French doors and a wonderful fire pit area. A cabinet in the living room was stocked with the most games I’ve seen in one place other than a game store! But our favorite feature was the proximity of the nice beach. We headed down the block just before sunset several evenings to witness the day’s end. Even though I’m unable to descend the stairs to the sand, I loved that there were small groups of people showing up at the same time. It’s two thumbs up for the Beach Lover’s Retreat.

Easy Beach Getaway

We just returned home from our lovely three night getaway at this cozy home “Beach Lovers Retreat.” We’ve stayed at this home several times and continue to return due to its easy access to the beach (just a short couple of blocks walking distance), cleanliness of the property, ease of check in and out, and overall comfort of the house. The kitchen is always well stocked for cooking but there are also many close restaurants nearby that we enjoy. Always a pleasure to get a chance to stay at this great vacation rental on the coast!

Charming beach house, nice location but overpriced

We stayed for two nights, house has lots of beach gear, cozy rooms and small state beach near by. The rooms are smaller than expected so for a group of six it's crampy. The bath rooms are not attached to the bed rooms so two families will have to juggle. The beach is okay at best. The price is not justified after adding VRBO and host fees on top of daily fees, so it's mispriced for it's location when it all adds up so buyer beware

This is a great location a block and a half from the beach. There is a good surf break right there, and it's kind of on a cove, so no crowds. The house had all the supplies you would need and has a really nice backyard with a fire pit that we enjoyed. Great place- we will be back!

Reboot on the beach

We stayed for 5 nights to get out of the Sacramento summer heat. We brought our two retrievers with us. All of us had a wonderful time. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat, nor can the quality. The house was perfect size for us and had every amenity we could have asked for! It even had an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand! We hope to stay here again in the future.

Linda and Cal are the perfect hosts and great communicators. Their home is thoughtfully stocked and impressively organized to help you, your family, and dogs feel at home. The house and yard are pleasant and comfortable, and the neighborhood and beach proximity are excellent. We enjoyed lots of walking and a number of the nearby coffee and eatery options; also wonderful New Leaf Market for fresh local groceries. An ideal unwind!

Cool on the Coast

Great location one block from the beach. Well appointed and quiet neighbor hood. Close to boardwalk and shopping and dining. We live inland where it has been so hot and it was a relief to be cool and pleasant.

We loved staying at the Beach Lovers Retreat. My husband and I and our 4 kids stayed here for a quick surf getaway and it was perfect. The house is very well stocked and lots of really thoughtful touches. We will definitely stay here again!!

Súper cute and comfortable beach house
