We had the best time here, the staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I enjoyed both the excellent breakfast and evening gatherings, and met some great people

this place is a gem in Santa Cruz if you get a chance book this place

Came here with my wife. Had a great time in nearby Santa Cruz downtown, and boardwalk (walking distance, but driving is better). Good breakfast, you can take it to your room or eat there.

Arrived to be greeted by friendly staff. Rooms were really nice. Beds were comfy. Only slight downside is road noise but hard to fault otherwise

Everything was perfect. The inn was so relaxing and peaceful.

Cute place within walking distance of boardwalk, downtown core, beach. Rooms are nicely decorated, very comfortable, inviting and clean. The Inn is tucked off a busy street so we could hear the traffic from the our room (Fern Grotto) closer to the street if our door was open but it didn't bother us (and don't remember hearing it with a closed door). Staff is genuinely helpful and the breakfast was scrumptious! A great place to come back to and stay a bit.

My wife and I had a great time at the Babbling Brook Inn. Our room was great. They even had bikes that you could use. We loved it!

We loved the setting for this place - lots of places to relax outside with plants and flowers everywhere and even a covered bridge. Lobby setting is comfortable and they have a wine + hors d'oevres reception for guests each night. The bed was completely comfortable but the room itself could use a little TLC. Window was stuck open and required my boyfriend to walk outside in the plants to push it closed at night. Staff was very friendly, but other than apologizing didn't do much for the broken heater in the room (with an unseasonably cold evening!). Full breakfast included was great, though!

I thought The Babbling Brook quaint and charming; the staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary buffet was delicious and the whole experience was really nice. I would love to stay there again.

We made our reservations some time ago. Right before our departure, I read a very negative review. I was very concerned I had made a mistake. Thou dost protest! Upon our arrival we were greeted with cascading water creating negative ions for our well being, a plethora of flowers, birds, ducks, and towering trees; the vibe serene, the rooms well appointed with luxurious amenities, and a staff that bent over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. To add icing to the cake was Tom Cole, host and cook extraordinaire who whipped up tasty breakfasts, salivating Hors d'oeuvres with our evening wine, and entertained us with tidbits of history and lore. This delightful and special Inn is great for a couple's retreat from big city stress, great for families visiting their geniuses at college and even for a business trip. To start the day well rested surrounded by people who want to make your stay a wonderful relaxing experience is all that any of us can ask for: a lover, a family, or a business person, this is the place.

Staff was friendly at first; there were a variety of bugs that were flying around the room, but the worst is there were Bed Bugs!! When I called to inform them the front desk clerk was eating over the phone and it disgusting I called her on it and she kept talking (unacceptable) the management was indifferent after I told him that had to bug bomb my house. I didn't want my money back I just wanted some kind of concern for other guests, but no didn't get any kind of response but there e-mail, they probably think I will fade away but I will inform everyone who asks about places to stay in Santa Cruz. I paid so what's it to them? Again it's called Poor customer service. So it was a horrible stay, the parking is inadequate, it takes 5 turns to get your vehicle out, the room looks nice but is very deceiving; no water pressure! NOISY Road Traffic they says ends at 10 but is really 3am. Don't stay there!!!
