Clean, comfortable and in located in the heart of Solvang

The check in was quick and easy. Front desk gentleman was very friendly and warm. The room is great. Comfy bed, fridge and microwave included. The ac unit is a bit loud but it doesn't bother me. You can hear a little bit of noise from outside but its not a deal breaker. Clean room. The property is very well maintained. My favorite part is that the hotel is in the very middle of town which for me means, I got to walk everywhere, go wine tasting and not worry about driving. I stayed in the room with my sister and her two teenage girls. We fit fine. I'd definitely stay there again. Its not fancy but it met all of our needs.

I have stayed at this hotel several times as well as a few others in Solvang. Staff are wonderful, rooms clean and pleasant, cost very reasonable. But the greatest feature is this hotels proximity to all the bakeries, restaurants, shops and wine bars in downtown Solvang. You can Park your car and walk everywhere easily. Especially great for people with mobility issues as the town center is flat and sidewalks in good repair. Best Christmas decor.

Nice place to stay. Rooms were comfy. Breakfast minimal.

I wish we could know in the beginning that there is no smoking anywhere.

The place is in the heart of Solvang's downtown. You dont need to have a car to enjoy Solvang. The minute you walk out of you door, the downtown is in your face. the back part is near the theater (was able to watch PAN) the side of the hotel is near the bicycle station, park, restaurants and all.

we truly enjoyed staying at King Fred's Inn, its in the heart of Solvang and within walking distance to everything. we will stay there again. it is great for couples and for families.

Hotel is in a great location in Solvang! In the middle of the town so it's really easy to walk everywhere. The hotel itself is ok, nothing special but was a fine place to stay. No issues, but nothing fancy. Would stay there again.

The room was nice and the staff was great at check in.

Booked two rooms over Presidents Day Weekend for a group of 8. This place was perfect for our group's getaway. It's walking distance to all the tasting rooms in Solvang. There's a pool and hot tub, but they close them up at 9, so no sneaking in after hours. The rooms are standard, but well-kept and very clean. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. As other reviews stated, bring your own toiletries as all that's provided is a generic soap dispenser in the shower. They supply a hair dryer. The complimentary breakfast is a simple pastry and beverages, which we didn't really use since we had our breakfasts out. The rooms are a little dim since the windows are small and high up, but we were out all day tasting anyway. The rooms are by the street, so we thought it'd be loud at night, but noise was not an issue in the evening at all. Overall, I was pleased and would recommend. Great practical value.

Rooms are clean, very nice comp breakfast. Love the location...in the middle of town.

The staff was really helpful. We loved the free breakfast items. Even though it was just juices, cereals, toast, and pastries it was enough to start the day. Great location in Solvang that allowed to just walk out the door to restaurants and wine tasting rooms nearby.

Good location near shopping and restaurants. Nice pool. Nice continental breakfast.

The hotel was very nice and overall quiet. The staff was great. The rooms are a decent size and clean. Our room inlcuded a microwave and small fridge. I will be back!

I would stay here again. It is a great location and very clean. Simple breakfast . Everyone was friendly and helpful. the pool was very clean.

You can't get a better location than this hotel. It was cute and clean. Wifi was a bit intermiten which is hard for me but otherwise it was a great value.

In the heart of town, easy walking distance to everything. On the Schedule for the wine bus pickups and drop offs. Allowed us to check in early since we were there at 10am to meet a wine tour bus...nice to have that done before we got back. Very accommodating.

1. Hotel has a fantastic location! It is on Mission St. which is the main street that you use to drive into Solvang. Behind it is Copenhagen St. which is a busy shopping area, so you are in the midst of it all! 2. Staff was very cooperative when I had to change one room to a lower floor. 3. My queen-size room did not have a microwave or refrig.; however, the other 2-bed room I reserved did. When requesting a room, guests will have to indicate they want these by filling in the amenities or special requests box. I assumed it was standard with the room so I didn't fill that in. 4. No shampoo or conditioner bottles. Only an attached box in the shower contained a shampoo dispenser, and I need conditioner. 5. The mattresses dip in the center. They need to be replaced by ones with more support. 6. The continental breakfast is more "con" or an abbreviated continental breakfast. Only juice (poor), coffee (good), and Danish pastries (good). No cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. 7. For the price, I expected more. 8. But again, the location was terrific. That was its best feature.

We were participating in a Century Bicycle Ride and the location was perfect and the rooms were what we needed. Not luxury but sufficient.

Easy check in/out. Clean comfortable rooms, updated bathrooms, and quiet. Centrally located to restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and shops. Would definately stay there again.
