cute hotel ...we had a loft ... I cant decide if I liked the room configuration or not...but I knew what I was getting when I booked it.

The hotel was fabulous. Friendly staff. My room was beautiful. The only negative was the air conditioner unit in the room was right about the bed headboard. It was noisy and challenging to control the thermostat. If the unit was moved to the other side of the room I believe the room would stay a comfortable temperature all day/night.

Just ok, the town is great, this Inn was just dingy and mediocre

We encountered great service and a comfortable room. It is centrally located but back from the main drag so quiet. The breakfast was more than we expected. I forgot my jacket in the closet when I left and the staff mailed it back to me at my home address without hassle. I recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed browsing the shops Several restaurants were closed Quaint village

A great stay and I would recommend the hotel to friends. Awesome location as well.

convienent and within walking distance of center of town.

The place is pretty standard. The breakfast is decent. The best part is that cribs are available (limited options for this in the area) and there is a loft so the kids could be separated.

The hotel is wonderful and located in a quite street. Breakfast is very good. The staffs working in the dinning room are very friendly.

Everything was perfect! Loved the hotel. Big room, very affordable

Wine Valley Inn is located in the heart of Solvang. Step out the door and you are in the middle of this quaint Danish town full of unique shops and restaurants. Rooms was very comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful.

I was attracted by the beautiful photos of the hotel buildings, so I made the reservation. The price is around $200/night. However, the place is terrible inside the buildings. Here are several points: 1, our room is not comfortable. There is 3 stair inside the room between the bed and the bathroom. You will have to go through these stairs. 2, not clean. My wife and I both feel allergy on our skins after a few minutes lying on the bed. Then we have to wear our shirt to go to bed.

Room so small you almost had to go outside to turn around. Step up to bathroom had uneven steps and almost fell in the middle of the night. Heard people next door VERY clearly. Not a pleasant experience. No tub and towels very thin. Had better towels at the Best Western the night before. I was very disappointed. Just wanted to leave the next morning as quickly as possible. Location great and breakfast very nice. Staff was very nice.

The location and staff at the Inn are both excellent, the rooms are a little funky and in need of updating but a good value for the money. The included breakfast buffet is adequate, although it was better the last time I stayed here, and some cut up fruit would be nice instead of just whole apples and oranges. I would recommend staying here for an economical option. It is walking distance to most Solvang downtown businesses, including several good restaurants, and the staff is very helpful and pleasant.

The hotel met my expectations and more. Perfect location, nice hot breakfast, clean, quiet.

AC did not work and pillow and mattress were hard. Front lobby staff seemed to dislike job and we're not very friendly

This was a cute hotel visually & in a convenient location. The staff was very nice & did their best to be accommodating. The main problem we had was that the air conditioning unit was not adequate to cool the room. We stayed in the middle of July & it was cooler outside. The windows don't open so we had to leave the door open almost the entire night. The staff was kind enough to bring us a fan at 2:30am because the temperature in the room was sweltering. The first night, we stayed awake until the room finally cooled off so we could close the door. It was probably safe to sleep with the door open but who wants to chance it? We asked the staff to move us the next night because we were exhausted from the lack of sleep, but they were booked solid. They brought us another fan. We weren't interested in another sleepness night with the door open so we actually left at 8pm. The front desk clerk said she would e-mail us a receipt, but hasn't done so as of yet. Although the staff did their best to make it comfortable, it just wasn't. They seemed to be aware of the heat issue in the rooms and did not seem surprised when we told them the air conditioning was not adequate. I don't understand why they have not addressed the problem or at least include a warning that says the rooms are hot - very hot. It would have been more comfortable to sleep on their patio.

Very charming hotel with a perfect location just off the main street. We were in the king tower with a view of the hills behind Solvang. The room was wonderful and it was cool enough in the evening to use the freestanding fireplace. If we had to make any constructive criticism, we would say get a stand for the TP so someone doesn't wrench their back reaching for it and put some kind of caddy or shelf in the gorgeous shower for products. All was forgotten when I tasted the scrambled eggs at breakfast--the best I've EVER tasted!!

The hotel architecture is beautiful, very pretty, the breakfast excellent but the room had lights that you couldnt switch off,the matress was like sleeping in a water matress, we couldnt sleep at all,the bath was new ans okey, its a petty that we couldnt rest at all there

It was a comfortable one night stay. We stayed Sunday night and checked out Monday morning hoping to avoid the crowd, but were surprised the next morning during breakfast to see so many guests. We stayed in room 102 which is right across from the breakfast area, so around 7am when they start serving you'll start to hear people chatting. But we didn't mind it too much because we wanted to get breakfast early too. Another thing was since our room was so close to the back parking lot we could hear people dragging their luggage to and from their cars during the morning and at night. The stoned walkway made it so we were extra aware of them. We enjoyed the cottage area with their little bridges and ponds. Great place to snap some photos.
