Hadsten House

The hotel had a great location, within walking distance of just about everything. The hotel allowed us to check in early without the typical "early checkin fee". The staff at the front desk were gracious and accomodating. They helped with directions to certain attractions and provided good recommendations. The breakfast buffet was better than average. All in all this way a great place to stay and I'd definately stay there again.

First, let me say that the staff was very friendly upon arrival. We arrived a little later in the evening, so our room was ready. What we didn't know was that when check in, we would receive a list of wineries where we could taste for free due to us staying at the hotel. By the time we checked in, unfortunately all of the places on the list were closed! Our room was clean, quiet, and cute. The fireplace heated up the room a little too much -- so we weren't able to keep it on as long as we would have liked to. It was a nice perk for a little while though! The hot tub was clean, and there was only one other couple in it. The continental breakfast in the morning was pretty standard. Coffee, juice, cereals, toast, fruit, eggs, bacon, & potatoes. The breakfast staff wasn't rude, nor were they very friendly. The only real complaint that I have about the Hadsten House is that we had no hot water for our showers in the morning. After several minutes of attempting to heat up the shower (and bathroom sink), I called the front desk to tell them our hot water wasn't working. All they said was, "ok, I'll tell maintenance." Our water never got hot, we never received a visit from maintenance, and no one ever followed up about this matter. My boyfriend took a cold shower while I decided to skip one all together. Bummer. Overall, our experience was pretty good. I'd stay again if the shower problem was fixed!

The hotel is great! And it's near the Danish town.

Amazing breakfast included with the beautiful room...loved it! Dawn at Haven Spa was also a sweet and awesome massage therapist! Highly recommend the room and spa!!!!

We were surprised at the hotel and amenities. It was comfortable and very nice! I would call it simply a high class motel. Comfortable beds, updated bathroom with nice products. The hot breakfast offered was a full on home cooked meal! The staff at the front desk could be a tad more friendly, but maybe we caught them on a bad day. All in all our stay more than made up for it.

This hotel is in a great location, right on the edge of solvang and close to buellton. Close to many vineyards and tasting rooms. Room was nice and clean

The Hadsten House is nice looking from the highway into Solvang from Highway 101. The grounds are neatly kept, but lack any special ambiance or architectural uniqueness. That said, the rooms and common area are very comfortable and well maintained. The restaurant and bar does double duty as the complimentary breakfast lounge. The breakfast was good, if rather basic. Other restaurants in town would be a better choice for dinner (there are so many). The location of the hotel is convenient for all activities if you have a car. The vineyards and wine tasting of Foxen Canyon and Los Olivos are just a short enjoyable drive from Hadsten House. The Chumash Casino is also a short easy drive. You can easily walk into the center of town from this Motor Inn for restaurants and shopping. There are now many wine tasting rooms in Solvang, if you don't want to drive out to Foxen Canyon (but that would be a missed opportunity).

Nice clean room, seemed to be a more updated hotel in this little town

We were in Solvang for my wife's birthday dinner and a play. We enjoyed our stay at the Hadsten House immensely. Our room was very nice and away from the street. We were able to walk to dinner and a play with a stop at the Wildling thrown in for good measure. The breakfast the following morning was also very nice and we enjoyed the decor. The photos of local wine makers were a highlight.

We arrived a little earlier than check-in time and the ladies at the front desk were nice and accommodating. Our room looked just like the photos and we were impressed. Hadsten is very close to downtown Solvang and the complimentary breakfast was a great deal! There really are no complaints.

Had a great time ! Thanks to entire friendly staff. My wife and I had a great time celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary wedding vow renewal. Complimentary breakfast was GREAT!! walked into town from hotel, no need for Car! Thanks to Rory for the chocolate covered strawberries and cheese plate with crackers. My wife loved it

Very nice and clean rooms. Pool and hot tub was very relaxing, perfect after a day of wine tasting. Walking distance to downtown Solvang where are are good restaurants and wineries. The Bistro which is on the premises was also a great place for dinner.

For a 3-star resort the Hadsten House left much to be desired. The carpet in our room was in need of cleaning, the room itself was OK, but some of the furniture showed signs of wear and tear. Guests were reunning up and down the hallways at 1:00 in the morning; conducting very loud conversations in the public areas at 1:00am. There was a classic car show in town the same weekend so at 7:30am several guests decided to start their classic cars and "rev" up the engines for everryones delight. Over all the Hadsten House Inn and Spa was not worth the price paid and I will not return.

The Hadsten House is in a perfect location to walk all over Solvang. Plenty of restaurants and wine tastings in site.

Clean rooms. prompt maid service. very average buffet breakfast (nothing to brag about). The spa which was one of the factors in choosing this property was closed. Very disappointing. Room rate was not as fabulous as l was led to believe (there were guests checking in at nearly $125 less than I paid for equivalent room)

We got off a plane very jet lagged and needed a good comfort stop for our first night. And we got it. The town is gloriously quaint and the accom is very close to the main township. A short stroll found us in the heart. Great food in the restaurant for dinner that night and creative with fresh ingredients. Would go there again and plan to visit as we had such a great time.

Beautifully remodeled hotel in a great location. You can literally walk anywhere you want to go in Solvang. The hotel also features a really wonderful restaurant that one of the highlights or our stay!

Everything was great. Close to town. Clean everything. Delicious breakfast.

Rooms - Very nice rooms with good beds. Slight road noise during early hours. Breakfast was very good. Staff - Not very forthcoming with information. We had to ask for the discounted winery list. Convenient location. We could walk to town

Staff was very friendly, in a perfect location, room was very nice, breakfast included. Very pleasant stay overall.
