The location was great. Easy walking distance to downtown. The room was clean, which for us is a top priority. Everything else about the hotel just felt kind of average. The room was a little old and needed some minor improvements, i.e. The door did not seal well and you could see daylight through the edges. But everything was clean. Rating it lower than I normally would because of the price. At over $200 a night, I expected more. Perhaps that's just what the going rate is in Solvang though.

Hotel is about 5 mins walking distance from the town.

Clean. Comfortable. Price was value driven. Walking distance to most everything in town.

Great for a quick getaway. Located at the edge of Solvang, perfect for walking through the town. Room was quiet and comfortable and breakfast was included. Room was a wonderful spa tub.

Pool hand rails were loose, and , the maintenance person Blowing leaves when in the pool.other than this my stay Was enjoyable..

It was a wo detail relaxing vacation for me and hubby. Would re immediately to everyone to go there for quick getaway.

Nice hotel with walking distance to restaurants and shops. Spacious and comfortable room. The only problem we had was during breakfast. The smoke detector went off while someone was making a toast and one of the front desk staff blamed me for that in a very rude way without knowing who was making the toast. She seemed to be having a bad day...

I was overall satisfied with my experience. The only downside was the pool didn't work and the bathtub plug was kinda of not working. The room itself was cozy and spacious. Also a lovely little patio outside my room.

We slept. Easy walking distance from hotel to all of Solvang.

The bed was great, but you need to bring your own pillow... One pillow was not enough and two pillows were too much. Down comforter was too hot for the night we were there and we had the A/C on and it was still too hot. Would have preferred a room with a view of the hills. Pool needs to have new plaster because of holes. Spa was OK, but not hot enough. Included breakfast was good. Choice of waffles, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, toast. Probably would not stay there again...

We stayed here to run a 1/2 marathon. This was the perfect location to walk into town. The staff was very helpful. Since the race started so early in the morning, they were nice enough to put out the breakfast early so we could grab a little something before the run. The bed was so comfortable (soft). The tub was jetted, so I took advantage of this after the race. It was a great value for this hotel. I'll will stay here again next time for sure.

The location is fantastic, and the value is better than some of the other places in Solvang. Our only complaint was some chewing gum stuck to the headboard in our room. Everything else was good.

ok to stay just for one night. If this comment is not accepted, just leave it as it is !!!

The Kronborg Inn is a nice place to stay with comfortable rooms. Even though we had a room off of Route 246 the doors were insulated and after drinking wine all day we passed out and couldn't hear any traffic. Breakfast was pretty basic but got the job done. Be sure to visit Los Olivos, Lompoc, and Buellton and taste some tasty SBC wines. We recommend going to Neilsen's Market to see what local wines they have to save a few $$ on the prices the tasting rooms ask. The Costco in Santa Maria is also a great place to check. We have stayed in 4 different places in Solvang over 15 visits and Kronborg is in the top 2.

No toilet paper holder. Burnt out light bulb. One front check in staff member very cold and not very helpful. Very poor continental breakfast. Much better hotel for the same price next door (Hadsten House) which had very good full breakfast.

Little hotel on the west side of town. The outside is nothing special, but the rooms are well done, nice decor, and the bed was super comfy. The continental breakfast was nice... they have a waffle maker which is a nice little touch. Ask for a room upstairs... they have nice balconies where you can sit and relax.

My BF and I drove up this past weekend for a wedding. We chose the Kronborg as it's one of the few hotels that do not require a 2-night min on the weekends (BIG PLUS). When we first pulled up, the lobby was dated and it's not an enclosed hotel, so we were like, "Oh no-- this is what $160 a night looks like." But then we got inside and VOILA! lovely remodeled king bed, nice linens, super comfy mattress, bathroom was clean. Personally I hated the soaps but I'm sensitive to those things. It was for the most part quiet (little road noise) and you can hear people in the pool when it was open. But over all, really pleased and happy to recommend/ go back when we're in Solvang.

We had an upstairs located in the back of the hotel but with a view of the pool/courtyard. The room was very clean, bed was comfy, bathroom was nice. Loved having table and chairs in the room and balcony. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend.

Clean and comfortable, in the center of town, fridge, microwave and coffee pot in room, jacuzzi / shower combo. Very helpful and friendly staff. Could hear noise from adjoining rooms unless heater / AC was running. Sliding glass doors to pool / hot tub central plaza made my husband feel 'unsafe' though nothing happened and a lot of the hotels in Solvang seem to have this style.

Always a good experience here. I stay here every time, they have free breakfast and the rooms are impeccable.

Estimated Guest, Thank you for your comments. We take your suggestions very seriously as we are constantly renovating and improving our hotel. With regards to the pillows, we just purchased brand new high quality king size pillows, although our desk attendants would have made it their duty to bring you other pillows if you so requested. Our maintenance staff is currently looking at the AC unit you referred to, and if needed, it will be fixed immediately. We hope to see you soon as we will take special care of you and your guests. Best Regards, Management
