Room was quiet on 3rd floor and a good location for walking State Street and Stearna Wharf area.

This was a great hotel for the price. good location, clean and very safe.

Very gracious hosts. Clean and comfortable hotel. Great place to stay for a leave-the-car-at-home vacation. Near train station. Near ocean, harbor and pier. Near State Street. Close to restaurants and attractions. Easy walking distance to all. If you want to save your feet then take the downtown and/or waterfront shuttles -- only 50 cents!

Staff went out of their way to help. Very good breakfast. Nice room with frig and microwave and a private patio.

Good experience because of location. Also, in-room WIFI, fridge & microwave. Overall, a bit pricey for what basically is a nice motel.

Older hotel but updated room is very nice. Staff was courteous. Pool and spa -- wish I'd brought my suit.

This is located in close walking distance to the beach & a streetcar ride to the shopping & dining areas. The room was good-sized & included a nice coffee service, plus balcony. It appeared to have been recently refreshed: painted, new bed covering & carpeting. Breakfast was very good & staff kept it well-supplied and buffet area clean. Enjoyed our stay

This was a last-minute stop over, and worked out well for us.

Try to get there early otherwise you will have to park in the streets... very limited parking.

We have stayed at the Avania Inn a couple of times. It is not fancy, but the rooms are clean and location for the price is great. They also serve breakfast, which is actually pretty good. If you're not going to be spending a ton of time at the hotel, its perfect. There was a small pool and a hot tub we didn't use.

A little expensive but great location between the harbor and the pier.

This place wasn't very memorable, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. There were times where we smelt people smoking marijuana so that was interesting. The location was good, we were vising SBCC and make sure to check out the downtown area, it's to die for!

It is great experience. The hotel is really close to the beach. It is easily to get to downtown.

Room a bit shabby. Bathroom lighting poor. Quiet. Close to beach.l

Stayed here for 2 days and got a great deal for the location. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony was nice to relax on before hitting the beach.

Our room was very dated and small. Bathrm was very cramped. Towels seemed old. Location was fine. Very large reception/ breakfast area.

We paid over 300 for a one night stay at the worst hotel we have stayed, yet. Staff was really unfriendly, not welcoming at all. There was no parking for our vehicle. We were asked to park across the street. We were woken up to a loud argument below our room; when we called the front office they suggested turning on the air conditioning to cancel the noise. You would think or even would like to feel like you got your money's worth... by far it was the opposite.

Nice rooms in a nice hotel, Good Breakfast service here. Nice beds with great pillows! Pretty good choice , a stroll to the wharf or state street is about a 15 min walk.

This hotel is easy to reach and close to beach. Even the city centre is with a 10 minute walk close. Room and breakfast ok! check-inn lady could be more friendly. A bit expensive for a stay, but because of the location still ok.
