The rooms are tiny. Like a closet. The queen bed fills the entire room and you hit your shins on the bed frame all the time. Also, it is RIGHT NEXT TO the train station so be prepared to be woken up early every morning by many, many loud train whistles as well as whistles throughout the day and night. The patio was cute though but even smaller than the room.

Small room, clean, location is great. Would definitely go back based on location.

I like the location and the clean and modern condition of this wonderful hotel. Close to beach, shops and restaurants!

Rooms were amazing but the parking leaves much to be desired.

The hotel was in a good location however our room was smaller than we expected. The bathroom was very small, and the shower wasn’t even necessarily a shower, it was a shower head with a moving glass divider and shower curtain to serve as shower doors. There is a small parking lot next door which was convienent but you have to pay to park there.

Close to Amtrak station and beach...3 blocks from downtown.

only problems were 1) being notified of parking fees upon checkout ($30) 2) the freight train sonic boom that occurred at 3am by the hotels proximity to train tracks. You will never be able to sleep through such an event.

Always a pleasure to stay here. The rooms tend to be a little small but they are extremely well appointed. The location is great, steps to the pier and right on the main drag of State St. We were traveling with our dog which limits our choices in the area. But they are always most welcoming of the mutt. Staff was great!

I really enjoyed my stay at Indigo. Great little hotel with that European boutique feel. Staff extremely friendly, welcoming and informative. Location is perfect to beach, downtown and other walkable distances. Having the restaurant next door, Nuance, was also convenient. A few items where actually hotel has no control over but it was a little annoying, is there is construction going on next door where they start work around 6:30am. Also a train track at end of block where there is a main intersection on State St. where train blows horn in early a.m and throughout the day. Following is hopefully constructive criticism. Room was clean but top cover of bed, the one that isn't changed daily, had about 5 long dark hairs on it where it just gives bad impression or people like me who are turned off by hair on anything but your head. I normally turn down top cover or remove as most hotels do not change or wash top cover between guest visits. Overall I enjoyed my visit despite the annoyances outside the hotels control.

Nice little hotel and close to the funk zone. I did read reviews about the loud train so I called in advance to be on the other side of the hotel where there was no train but the only problem with this request is that your view was a brick wall out the window on the other side of hotel. Very small rooms and super small bathroom (the shower is basically on the toilet and only separated by a glass wall that you move there while taking a shower). I personally don't like stepping in wet anything and after you take a shower you move the glass and then there is basically wet floor when you sit on the toilet. It was super close to the funk zone and that part was probably the best thing about the hotel. You pay extra for parking and then if you come back to hotel at late dinner time the hotel parking is packed with the restaurant patrons. I don't exactly get why you pay extra for a parking pass when you are not guaranteed parking. One night we had to go into front desk and ask where to park because it was so full and they said to park in handicap parking so it doesn't appear that they even monitor parking. Should be parking for hotel patrons and parking for restaurant patrons separate because we paid to park at the hotel we paid to stay at. Strange. The bed was comfortable but again, very small rooms and not a lot of areas to put your stuff. It was just an OK hotel for the price in my opinion.

We loved the location for the price! This is the best deal without sacrificing! It's Clean, comfortable, and the customer service was superb!! The restaurant right next door Blue Tavern has a fantastic chef serving delicious food! Order the PIZZA, YUMMM!! Hotel Indigo is what staying in Santa Barbara should be all about. Affordable, clean and comfortable without the outrageous price! Very small room but the room is so swanky the tight room was still fantastic for a good overnight or weekend stay!

Simply, elegantly, everything you need. Great location in Santa Barbara. Yum food in ajoining resturant.

This was my first time staying at this hotel and I really liked the location. It was nice being able to walk everywhere including the beach, pier and shops. The room size reminded me of something you would find in Europe. I thought it was very clever the way the shower folds in and such. The only major downside is how close it is to the train station which means there is a lot of noise from the trains. Other than that, the hotel was very nice.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel after your recent say. Although our rooms are on the smaller side, they are beautifully designed and our location is stellar. We are transparent about our size of rooms so I am sorry they were not to your liking. I hope you can give us another chance in the near future. Sincerely, Indigo Team

Dear B. Lough, Thanks for leaving us a review! I'm sorry to hear that you were not able to sleep soundly. We make sure to provide all of our guests with complimentary ear plugs, as well as access to our Dohm sleep machines in order to ensure a peaceful night's sleep. As for the parking situation, although we offer valet, there is also free street parking located behind the hotel for any guests who would like to park their car freely. Hopefully these two factors don't deter you from staying with us in the future. Thanks for the feedback!
