The hotel is centrally located and is just a stones throw from St Mark’s Square, but that is about the only positive thing I can say about it. The hotel reception looks nice and gives the impression of a certain standard of hotel, however the room we were then shown to was very different. It was much shabbier than the main reception and seemed to be at the back of the hotel as we went through a separate entrance to reach it. The room didn’t look like the pictures we’d seen when booking, although perhaps we aught to have done more due diligence. The room itself was sparse and not at all modern, with very dated fittings and fixtures. The bathroom in particular was unpleasant and in desperate need of updating - I tried to use it as little as possible. There was a fridge in the room, which was helpful but other than that the pillows were wafer thin, the bed was hard as wood and the view was non existent out of the window. The telly didn’t give much hope either with only a few channels working. The staff at reception were generally helpful but not exactly friendly and the breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. Luckily we had only booked to stay one night and we couldn’t wait to leave. Will not be returning again.

Shocking lack of five-star service for a pre-paid booking. As long-term luxury travel enthusiasts who spend months on end at premier global properties (such as The Dorchester and The Balmoral), we understand what five-star hospitality should look like. Unfortunately, our arrival at Ca’ di Dio was entirely inconsistent with these standards and deeply disappointing. The Issue: We booked and fully pre-paid for a "Triple Room" (inherently licensed for three occupants) nearly a year ago. Upon arrival, the front desk flagged a system error on their end that registered our 9-year-old son as an infant. -The Handling: While administrative glitches happen, the evening team's handling of this was unacceptable. We waited hours for a resolution. We even went to dinner at Essentia hoping it would be sorted by the time we finished, but absolutely no progress had been made. -The Communication: There was a complete lack of updates or communication from the staff while we were dining. -The Current State: The room capacity is legally correct, the booking is settled, and the staff has already removed the crib since the existing king bedding is perfectly sufficient for us. We do not require a rollaway bed or a room change. Pros: The physical property is beautiful (though minimal/lacking art). Head Concierge Ivan is amazing. Service staff is also incredible. Cons: The front desk management and customer service fail to meet basic luxury hospitality standards. Perhaps inexperience.

Not worth the price per night, especially with no amenities like spa, pool, or jacuzzi. Since local train station and airport are near by, hotel should offer rides free of charge after booking.

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Veneziano! The location was perfect—peaceful and away from the crowds around St. Mark’s Square, yet still very convenient for exploring Venice. The hotel is just a short walk from the water bus stop, making it incredibly easy to reach both the city center and the airport. A special thank you to Expedia for upgrading our room. It was a lovely surprise and made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend Palazzo Veneziano to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient place to stay in Venice.
