The cottage is very nice. The kitchen was great. We needed a place for a last minute vacation for our family of 4 and this fit the bill. The setting is quiet. We were not able to spend any time on the pond but it looked very nice. We spent most of time at Gooch Beach in Kennebunk. The travel time to the beach was the only bummer but we knew this going in and it by no way reflects anything about the cottage. Fortunately the route to Gooch Beach avoids much of the heavy traffic on Rt1 in Wells so that made it more tolerable. Making the last minute vacation plans were quite easy and checkin/checkout were a breeze. All-in-all, we had a pleasant experience.

Cozy cabin in the woods

Pros: We enjoyed our stay. Although rustic, it was comfortable. Kitchen appliances, air conditioning, etc. worked. Plenty of cleaning supplies, paper towels and toilet paper, unlike some rentals where we had to buy supplies. Very quiet at night.Cons: Not one closet in the place, and nowhere to hang clothes except for 4 knobs hanging together in the kitchen, and no place in the bathroom to leave anything. There is plenty of room to add a few shelves.

This is a cute and cozy place, and we enjoyed our stay. The location on the pond and access to the canoe were the highlights for us; canoeing with the loons was magical (as was hearing the loons at night). Our only complaint was that the house had a pretty strong pet odor when we got there, and we found quite a bit of dog hair throughout the cabin, so I would hope the owners invest in a better cleaning service going forward

Our Maine Getaway

Loved the location by the Pond, there was a hiking trail across the street, we walked our dogs on. Convenient location to several beach areas. We enjoyed our stay and will return

Cute place with room for improvement

We enjoyed the lake and paddling the canoe! It’s a lovely spot. The place needs some love and cleaning for a better night sleep and more enjoyable stay.
