Place is completely run down and very tired looking. Bedrooms need gutted and completely refurnished and redecorated. In fact it might be cheaper to demolish the rebuild. It was not even that cheap compared to other budget hotels.
This was the worst hotel in I have ever stayed in . The bed was not made when I entered the room, they charged my card double . My room had roaches crawling in the bathroom . Toilet was not clean so I ended up just sleeping in the chair in the bedroom and I did not open my luggage because the bugs were awful . I COMPLAINED TO THE MANAGEMENT but nothing happened. They gave me a half hearted , " Im sorry , I hope you come back ". PLEASE DONT STAY THERE . And not to mention the ladies of the night who were frequenting the rooms next door.
This might be becoming kind of boring for people but here is another case of a member of the AAHA buying up another motel, not putting any money in it's upkeep, losing one motel chain franchise and buying into another. This used to be an EconoLodge. When the motel was an EconoLodge, there used to be a restaurant and a bar but it has been closed for a while. The awning of the restaurant/bar in back should be taken down because it is all torn up. There used to be a pool but now it has been filled up with dirt and grass and the area around it wasn't taken care of very well. There is evidence of somebody trying to grow a garden. A lot of the rooms had curtains with holes in them. The plastic backing on a lot of curtains must have gotten pressed onto the hot glass of the windows and the plastic had melted onto the windows. The room was somewhat okay with no major problems. The parking lot needs to be repaved. My advice for you is to go to the Days Inn a few doors down passed the closed out restaurant and the Burger King. I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast because all it looked like it was going to be was state cereal.
I have been staying here for years as my duty station is in Sanford. The management has always addressed any concerns and have remodeled and modernized many of the rooms. As for the review concerning the sink all plumbing backs up eventually and I am certain when it was brought to managements attention it was corrected. The manager Rakesh and his family are wonderful people and have always made me feel at home. It has always been a fine place to stay and I will continue to do so and recommend it to fellow workers. The TV has a nice selection and the wifi is great. I have never had an uncomfortable bed nor an uncomfortable room here. I guess some folks are not satisfied with the fact this motel offers the best rate in town. Regards. C
This has to be the worst place I have stayed in ever. Although we had a pool view, it was filled with dirt and grass. Twice we had to get the manager to let us in the room as our key would not work. the toilet paper holder fell off the wall and the sink was stopped up and black matter floated up when I went to shave in the sink. We paid almost $200 for one night. This place should be leveled.
I arrived in the daytime and the first thing I noticed was two dead birds hanging out of the roofing for the walkway. Sat on one of my double beds and it plopped right of the frame. The first morning I woke up I had an incredible headache and my tonsils swollen to the point I could barely stand to talk. My eyes also watered like crazy. This way of waking continued for three days. On the last night I had grown complacent and didn't mind the room. That next morning I woke up to a puddle in front of my bed. The refrigerator had stopped running and all the ice in the freezer had melted. Upon gathering my stuff to checkout I noticed my bread had been moved sightly. Just enough to notice but not enough to care. That's when I noticed the mouse trap beside the refrigerator. Upon closer inspection to my disgust, the mouse trap was NOT empty. And my bread and a small pack butter had been nibbled at. By that mouse or a different one. Who knows?! It's been two days since checking out and my symptoms are the same. Well I've been diagnosed with pink eye since I left. I almost forgot. When I asked the owner if I could be reimbursed the man told me no. I told him look for my review.
The first room they tried to put us in was disgusting! The bath tub had several different levels of rings that were dried up mud (or black mold) and the linens were gross. Went back up to the office and they put us in another room just down the hall, claiming they knew nothing about the issues in the first room with the tub/linens. The 2nd room was not much better - tub was at least clean but thankfully we packed our own towels and the towels they offered in the rooms look like they had human bodily fluids stained (or smeared) on them. I also brought our own blankets and laid them across the top of the bed to sleep and hit a laundromat the next morning before hitting the road. The continental breakfast was a complete joke (really OLD cereal) and a gallon of milk left sitting on the counter. Will NEVER go back to this place!!!!
First room they gave us and the door lock didn't work and only worked with the manager's card. Then we got a room on the second floor instead of our preferred lower floor. Even though the place is almost empty, they said they had no rooms available on the bottom floor..... Bathroom is dirty, moldy and the beds are very springy. One star for having WIFI and a TV. Forget this place.
