A very cute little motel, just off the highway in San Rafael. In a mixed/residential neighborhood, but very private because of all the trees and landscaping. A little noise from Lincoln Ave, but closing the windows blocks the noise and it's quieter at night. Convenient to restaurants downtown.

It was a very nice and quiet experience with friendly staff.

Compact, but had everything we needed. Great pastries for breakfast with water and pop available. No diet pop for diabetics. Great surroundings and friendly staff!

Well run friendly small business. My only complaint is that the door was sticky and hard to open, just needs to be shaved in a small area.

clean, and nice location. Good price for Marin County.

Super cozy little place to stay.

Everything seemed refreshed

Beautiful little motel.

Small old-style non-corporate travel motel. Big showers, friendly workers, no noisy neighbors, highways, or traffic. Tasteful furniture , really a trip back, vastly superior to the chains and cheaper. ONLY tiny drawback was when starting the shower, it tool maybe 3-4 minutes for the hot water to come through. Once it made it through the pipes, it was nice and hot with good pressure. Nice huge shower space.

Overall the stay was nice. It was clean and quite and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Amazing price for very comforatable stay in this area. Remains true to its original motel concept, while providing warm, efficient service.

Bed was not comfortable but the room was fine

Clean, quiet room.

I saw the great reviews online (not on Orbitz) and selected this hotel for my quick trip to Muir Woods. Hotel managers are super friendly. They offer free, hot, fresh Starbucks coffee in the morning as well as pastries and fruit. They also have a lobby fridge where guests may take one free bottle of water or a can of Coke or Sprite. The layout of the hotel allows you to park right by your room, which is very convenient. I could see the hotel maids stripping the beds and putting on new sheets, but my blanket had a couple hairs on it, and when I stepped on the floor by my bed in sock feet, my socks transferred hairs from the carpet onto my bed. I often get lucky and find no random hairs in my hotel rooms, and it's understandable that a hair might be in your room. I think this hotel could use a better vacuum cleaner though as I had a few hairs in unwelcome places. Also inconvenient is that the bathroom sink faucet takes a truly LONG time to deliver hot water. The shower heats up pretty fast though, so no complaints there. The shower water pressure was weak, and as a woman with long-ish hair, it was not ideal. Free wifi is fine/OK, not great. The room mini-fridge was effective. Due to the amenities they do offer, the good rates, and the nice staff, I would stay there again because the price was right, and the location is convenient to Muir Woods. I would feel much better about this hotel if not for the hairs in my room. It's a simple hotel with some classic roadside motel charm.

Excellent bed. Good location for me to access my family in San Anselmo. Really nice mgmt. Always very clean and quiet.

Very comfortable bed, clean room and property and bery friendly owners. Starbucks pastries in the morning an added plus

At the right price for late night last minute , was thankful they open the office for me late to get ice

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel. There are only a couple of downsides worth mentioning. One is limited onsite parking. If you are traveling in more than one vehicle, plan on parking the other on the street or two blocks away at a commuter parking lot. The other is the patio furniture situated in a corner of the parking lot just outside of a few of the guest rooms. While a nice touch, even quiet conversation can be heard in the rooms. If you need quiet, try to get a room located elsewhere on the property. Other than that, its a very nice place to stay....
