Breathtaking views on a budget. Excellent location with basic amenities.
Nothing in the room worked and the people there were very noisy all night.
Love the sheets, pillows, bathroom & toiletries and the carpet which looked clean. We got a good-sized room. Also love the starbucks coffee and liquid creamer, and the plastic cups which came in handy when we needed to brush teeth (there were about 6 cups). The refrigerator was a surprise, it didn't say in the website but we really did need one. We had to bring our big cooler because I thought there was no refrigerator. I thought there was an outlet to the beach but the outlet looked like it had been closed for a long time :( This was a disappointment. Didn't like the noise above us (we were on the ground floor). Kids were running above us during the day and in the evening, adults were just banging doors every time they leave or enter the room. Other than that, I love the place and wished we could have stayed longer.
MOLD! Unacceptable! All over shower curtain and blinds. I don’t mind dust here and there but mold is not good. Beware! Floor was damp. Pretty gross.
I loved having our own little bungalow at this property! The shower needs to be updated and I would love for them to take out all the carpet and put some type of hard flooring down because the carpet felt damp and gross from the sand and moisture that comes with being next to the ocean other than that this place was very cute and clean. I would stay here again and hope they fix the stairway access down to the beach!
Great location in walking distance to accessible stairs down to the sand (two blocks down). Only a few minutes by car to the Pismo pier and shops. Staff was friendly and we were allowed to check in early. Room was just OK, carpeting is weathered and not all windows opened/closed properly. A place so close to the beach should have floors instead of carpets as dirt and moisture inevitably are trapped in the carpet. Bathroom was a bit tight but worked fine. Stand up shower had tile...reminded me of my moms pink tile from the 70s and grout seemed dirty over years of use (not saying they don't clean, white grout over time stains and I'm not used to seeing that in hotels). We didn't get a cottage but they were right on the cliff. Staff was helpful and nice
The Tides is in a very good location. However, for the price we paid and what we god was very poor. The room is very small and only 1 chair in it. Had to use the outside chair (which was dirty) for a second. Everything needs to be upgraded. The staff was friendly. Don't think we will stay there again.
Location is great. Roomy. Our dog loved it
Was a bit dated but awesome views and clean and quiet rooms. Close to beach and downtown
Pictures on line are not what they really are , trip was planned for a long time needed getaway very disappointed
Great view from our room, would like to book the beach house at a later date
No A/c. And no maid service. Had to go to front desk for towels. Daily.
Staff was nice and accommodating to an early check-in. Rooms area nice, clean, and cozy.
We enjoyed our stay here! The staff was super friendly. Had the corner room with a view Made the stay pleasant especially during the COVID 19 pandemic!!
Check in was great. View at the hotel was awesome Rooms a bit outdated with no working AC but overall for our needs it was a great stay. Service was awesome! Forgot to get utensils at restaurant. Lobby clerk came to room quick with enough for family. Would definitely stay there again.
