I loved having our own little bungalow at this property! The shower needs to be updated and I would love for them to take out all the carpet and put some type of hard flooring down because the carpet felt damp and gross from the sand and moisture that comes with being next to the ocean other than that this place was very cute and clean. I would stay here again and hope they fix the stairway access down to the beach!
Great location in walking distance to accessible stairs down to the sand (two blocks down). Only a few minutes by car to the Pismo pier and shops. Staff was friendly and we were allowed to check in early. Room was just OK, carpeting is weathered and not all windows opened/closed properly. A place so close to the beach should have floors instead of carpets as dirt and moisture inevitably are trapped in the carpet. Bathroom was a bit tight but worked fine. Stand up shower had tile...reminded me of my moms pink tile from the 70s and grout seemed dirty over years of use (not saying they don't clean, white grout over time stains and I'm not used to seeing that in hotels). We didn't get a cottage but they were right on the cliff. Staff was helpful and nice
The Tides is in a very good location. However, for the price we paid and what we god was very poor. The room is very small and only 1 chair in it. Had to use the outside chair (which was dirty) for a second. Everything needs to be upgraded. The staff was friendly. Don't think we will stay there again.

Check in was great. View at the hotel was awesome Rooms a bit outdated with no working AC but overall for our needs it was a great stay. Service was awesome! Forgot to get utensils at restaurant. Lobby clerk came to room quick with enough for family. Would definitely stay there again.

Loved that we had our own balcony with a fire pit. I was bummed out that we didn't have beach access.
It was a close walk, 2 blocks to the beach. Amazing view from the property. Great grass area for the dog, with rooms that have chairs on the porch.
