Beautiful, next to everything in Old San Juan. Small room perfect for a couple. Hot water was a bit difficult to adjust. Overall, we’ll be staying here again!

The location of this hotel is perfect! Its located in the middle of everything so you can walk anywhere you want to go on Old San Juan. They dont have an elevator, so you have to carry your bags up seversl flights of stairs. The staff will help with the bags.

I've now stayed here 3 or 4 times and will continue to do so. I've seen it continue to grow in popularity and in the way it looks. The only other place I've stayed at in San Juan is the big hotel with the casino (You know the one) and that's because work required it. The only issue I could see someone having would be if they had mobility issues as there is no elevator. Can't beat the location. The people are great. The rates are fair. I almost want to give it a poor review to keep it to myself.

The property was conveniently located in the heart of Old San Juan. You're only minutes away from local dining options, the san cristobal fort, and the plaza. The accomodations are clean and the staff is extememly pleasent and willing to help. The main issues we had were with a broken bedframe on the first night that was both uncomfortable and squeaky making it almost impossible to sleep. I will say when I brought it up to management the next morning they fixed it immediately. The second issue was with the noise. Unlike your sheraton or embassy suites, there does not seem to be any noise provisions or curfew for the common areas. People were loitering in the common areas until 3 or 4 am every night of our 3 night stay. Fortunately, I had read in other reviews that this was a potential issue and brought ear plugs, but the one night i forgot to put them in, it was loud as heck. The staff is awesome and friendly, but for families or the average business person who needs a good night's sleep.. this is probably not the place for you.

This place is so cute and right in the middle of old San Juan. We were walking distance from so much that no car rental was needed. The hotel was very clean and staff was very helpful and attentive. Our trip to San Juan was perfect and we would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family. Love Da House!

Excellent location, very nice staff, clean and comfortable room, small bathroom.

Very clean old fashioned hotel reminiscent of how lifestyle is centuries ago. Very friendly, accommodating and enthusiastic staff. Relaxing stay that will take you away from your gadgets. No tv or microwave which helps you focus on your vacation. No elevator which is great for health and staff helps carry luggage.

Very stylish, artistic, classy but low key place at a great price. Loved it!

The location is the best part of this hotel. It is right smack in the middle of Old Town San Juan. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the Forts. There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and has a great lobby. There isn't an elevator, so you might have to carry your luggage up one or two flights. The room was spacious and very clean.

No frills hotel, but close to everything in Old San Juan. Staff was attentive and very professional. No TV or any additional amenity in the room - but if you are in Old San Juan, there is plenty to do outside to stay in the room.

Great location, helpful staff, excellent air conditioning. No elevator meant hauling luggage up and down stairs, but staff would always help. The hotel was still recovering from the hurricane, but things were returning to normal. (No wifi, but you could get free internet access at a sister hotel nearby. I had no trouble with internet access via my cell phone and AT&T.) Street noise from late night partiers was easily heard from our third floor room and might be a problem for some, but I didn't mind. The location was within easy walking distance to Old Town sights. A staff recommended restaurant (El Jibarito) provided authentic Puerto Rican food at very reasonable prices. (It is where the locals eat.) The bathroom was small, but adequate for our overnight stay. This is not a modern hotel, but provides quaint and comfortable rooms decorated with original art. We would stay here again

Nice hotel close to everything in the center of old San Juan PR

We knew that this was an older hotel, but it is in the middle of Old San Juan, so you get the feeling and vibes of that lovely area. High ceilings and good air conditioning made for a comfortable stay. The beds and linens were clean, although the bathroom was in need of updating somewhat. The staff were incredibly helpful and charming. Would go again if We are ever back in San Juan, and would definitely recommend.

Well I guess they treated su because we are online customers; They gave one of worse rooms while they have plenty available ones.

Hotel not great and extreme vertical layout not real user friendly

Lots to do in walking distance. beautiful hotel great staff

Beware, the hotel has no elevator! Storing bags was at a cost, though after negotiations, stuff offered to store for free. A lot of effort was put on decoration but the result is questionable. Staff wasn't v professional, though tried to be polite.

They did not have hot water in our room and they do not have an elevator to take you to upper levels. The location is unbeatable and this is an old school building. Da house gives you a good idea of culture.

This is a really unique type of hotel, almost like a less formal guesthouse. Beautiful rooftop views and some of the best front desk staff who helped us find street parking (which is no small feat in Old San Juan). Their restaurant and walking tour recommendations were also top notch. Hotel was on a noisy block, so not great for delicate sleepers bUT we absolutely loved our stay here. Highly recommend.
