Overall The Grove was a great stay. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean/comfortable & their check in/check out is simple. I appreciate that they offer luggage drop off & they also had our room ready a hour sooner than check in. Street parking is difficult to find but I was able to get a spot after doing some loops. I would stay here for my next visit.

Staff was very nice and great at communicating. Check in was super easy. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The towels were nice and thick. It reminds me a lot of a hotel in Venice Italy. The only thing that isn't easy is parking. The streets are all 2 hour parkiing or permit required. The recommended garage is aboiut 5 blocks away. It was safe and easy to park at but not super convenient.

Wonderful experience. Wonderful room and staff. Clean and well appointed. One of the best locations in The City, only a block to Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies. Easy walk to Hayes Valley, and the Castro. And access to the 22,5,6,7 busses. Great place to be and awesome place to stay.

Perfect place to stay in San Francisco. The area is very walkable with the Alamo Square Park right up the street, and Hayes Valley down the street with a quaint community to shop and dine. Staff greeted us immediately and was very helpful in getting us settled in to the room. Room was very clean and comfortable with a mini fridge and coffee maker. The lobby area is a shared space which can be utilized from 9am to 5pm. Much more intimate than a sterile hotel in mid-city. Highly recommend.

Old and worn property. very loud street. Drab and depressing with dirty windows, contributing to dingy atmosphere. Lobby is furnished like a bus station - burned out light bulbs in lights in entry way. Just a bad experience..Couldn’t wait to check out.

Very nice property in a great location. Short walk to the painted laidies, restaurants and shops on Divisedero. Bus stop right there to take directly to the Fillmore, Castro, lower Haight, or the Mission.
