Pier 2620 Hotel Fisherman's Wharf

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The hotel was clean and centrally located. You can walk to the Golden Gate bridge and Union Square, although those walks can be 5-10 miles. Fisherman's wharf is right down the street. The hotel staff was helpful and very friendly. If you do stay here, I suggest you ask for a quiet room. Since the hotel is centrally located, it is on a busy street with the bus line. I was on the first floor facing Jones Street. The room was pretty noisy and unless you are a heavy sleeper, you might not get much sleep.

Close to financial district, fisherman's wharf and stores

Pros: Great location centralized to most attractive areas. I'm walking distance to Fishermen's Wharf. Breakfast buffet was good and tasteful. Clean and spacious rooms. The decor was pretty cool, themed after the hotel name. Cons: Although we had a city view which was great. The locals and vehicle traffic was very loud. This didn't bother me to much considering that I wasn't on a vacation to relax or work. However, my fiancé found it difficult to study as he had school work complete while during our stay. Also, keep in mind that the hotel charges a $90 urban fee. This fee includes wifi, breakfast and amities. I was previously aware of the fee but didn't understand why I didn't have the option to opt out. What if I didn't want to eat their breakfast or use their wifi?? Also, there was no pool, hot tub, gym, outside lawn etc. therefore, what amities were they charging for? Maybe the ability to utilize the computer lol. Lastly, there is $100 deposit per day held on your card for accidental purposes. I found that to be a bit extreme. If the cons are not of any concern, you will enjoy your stay. Luckily, I was financially stable otherwise I could see the hidden fees being an issue. Overall stay was pretty good.

The hotel was very conveniently located in the fishermans wharf area. We walked everywhere; Lombard Street, Pier 39, to the trolley cars which we took to union square, Pier 33 for our Alcatraz tour. The breakfast is included in the urban fee which is $30 per day, charged at check in. There is a small bar in the hotel which has a nightly happy hour and house wines are $6. Our room was very clean and tidy when we arrived.

We totally loved the hotel!!! It is beautiful and in an amazing part of town! The "text concierge service" was great and very helpful. The only issue I had with this place were all of the hidden fees. They charged $30 per day for "convenience fee" and $56 per day for parking.

Clean rooms and perfect location. breakfast was amazing although I'd rather skip the $30 a day fee "urban fee". Overall satisfied and will definitely return to this hotel for another stay.

Building was nicely redone. Close to wharf. Industrial decorations in rooms are super cute. Beds were comfy. Pretty good breakfast. Gym was nice. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was concierge. When asking for dinner ideas she clearly only gave us recommendations to places she got some sort of kickback from not where she would actually eat as a local.

Very pleased can't wait to return, hotel staff gets a 10 with me.

Great clean hotel in prime location! Only two blocks from fishermans warf. Breakfast is on point with that crispy bacon they serve.

Pier 2620 was a great hotel. Beds were super comfortable. Very close to all destinations, but far enough to get away from the noise.

Good customer service. Cleaning was decent. That's all I have to say.

Great location within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39. Lots of restaurants and eateries. Near public transportation and cable car turnaround.

Hotel is in Fisherman's wharf but not in busy crowded section where you can sleep without noise. Room is clean, modern and sraffs are very kind. I would definately stay there again.

We had a 5 night stay at 2620. Our room was noisey from outside traffic. We could hear other guests getting up in the morning, walking in their rooms and showering. (Thin walls) We also experienced two false fire alarms in the middle of the night on separate days. We had to evacuate the hotel and run out to the cold street with the other hotel guests. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. Room was always clean.

We had two rooms called to ask if they were a joining, the desk said yes we could do that, got there early 10 am. Desk clerk said a joining no problem...said he'd text us when they were ready. No text get back about 3 pm a joining rooms still not ready. By then the desk clerk had changed, we were tired the clerk convinced me to take rooms ready. Ok fine the room numbers lead us to believe that nine doors away from each other. We even said to him 9 rooms away....no not in your motel. 123 steps. Once I got over that, everything else was great.

Great service, clean updated rooms and lobby area. Good included buffet breakfast. Self park or valet parking in the building. Hotel is only 2 blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. Highly recommended and would return for sure.

It was a very nice hotel a close walk to the Piers. Staff was friendly and concierge very helpful. It was a rather unique hotel with the room decorations, which I thought was great. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Loved every minute. Beautiful hotel. Located perfectly for the things we wanted to do on our stay. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. Very friendly.

I love the hotel and their staff. Had a few issues that I didn't have my first stay. Everything is in walking distance and you can get to all the transportation for getting around the city easily. A fun place to be.

The room was clean and nice and staff was great however the street noise and inside the hotel was horrible. We didn't sleep because there is no sound proof to block out noise. An old hotel redone but didn't redo the single pane window and insulation.
