Stayed here for $100 and found it an amazing value, would highly recommend. We had an incredible view of downtown from our room too.
I was looking for a cheap hotel close to Moscone where I was attending a conference. This was an excellent choice. However, when I arrived I could then understand why it was so cheap. The elevator had been broken for a while, and because it was an old building, the part wasn't estimated to arrive for two to three weeks. Taking my luggage up four flights was not fun, but once I got to my room completely out of breath, I flopped down on the bed and thought I broke my back. Those beds were FIRM! Besides for the broken elevator and hard bed with few blankets, this place was alright. Better than a hostel and the staff were super helpful and friendly.
cheap hotel - should be ok to stay for a night, but not more. while it's generally clean, and looked after, it has issues with noise, some outdated features, like window blinds, inadequate door locks.
I travel a lot and normally don't complain if a cheap hotel has problems but.... The beds were so hard my sister slept on the floor because it wa more comfortable. The room was so hot I almost passed out and finally we were able to open the windows otherwise I know I would have suffocated. Just know, if you book this hotel you get what you pay for
I chose this hotel because of the price. Just know there will be no napping during the day because of the noise from the staff cleaning rooms til 3:00 & the walls are very thin. Our room smelled like Marijuana, the old fashioned wall heater sounds like there's something living trying to escape from it, & there were several pubic hairs in the shower when I attempted to take a shower. If you don't care about any of that, it's Ikea trendy and may just make your day.
I'd stayed here before and recommended it to a friend. I made his reservation for him being sure to request a room in the remodeled part of the hotel on a higher floor. Very disappointed to hear that he was given an old room in the motel adjunct by the parking garage. Worse, after his first night there was no more maid service. I had planned to rebook myself on my next trip but won't be doing that now
Reasonable price for convince to many activities and transportation ... Pay extra for parking but directly connected to hotel in video secured private lot
Next to all the fun things to do in Soma. Look is hipster all the way. I would recommend this to a friend.
I picked this hotel for some vendors of ours that wanted to be close to our store. the price is right but I would not want to stay there. but they did say they are going to remodel.
The staff was friendly but I dont feel like the value of the room was worth what I payed.
This place is adequate, and is a good fall back for those weeks when it seems like every hotel in SF is booked up, but would not recommend it if other options are available. There's a veneer of hipness with the decor, but don't expect much in terms of the quality of facilities and amenities.
Had a good experience at the good hotel. No complaints whatsoever. A few blocks from the mall and clubs too.
This was my second stay at the "good" hotel and I was appalled at the lack of respect from the pretentious staff and zero amenities. Upon leaving i noticed multiple bed bug bites and had to visit a physician for a cortizone shot. I will NEVER return to this hotel and I am contacting the Better Business bureau to ensure no other guest has to endure the horrible experience I was put through. I use Your site to book every detail of the frequent trips I take but am considering switching to another third party website for my travel needs. Thank you for listening. Yours regretfully, Lauren Zuber
I have stayed here a few times. Great location in SF. Beds are a little on the hard side and parking is a little expensive, but everywhere is in SF. Internet was a little on the slow side.
Avoid the rooms facing the streets, otherwise it will be too noisy to get to sleep.
This is my second time to stay at the Good Hotel. I choose to stay here a second time because I liked the feel of the place, its location and most of all its cost. When I checked in, I had gotten a room other that what I thought I had requested. I had a web site issue the day I made the reservation, but the front desk staff were helpful in changing my room to one with a queen bed in the courtyard building as I wanted. Other than rain the entire weekend, it couldn't have been any better.
FIRST OF ALL THIS IS THE SECOND WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED AT. YOU DIDN'T TELL US WE HAD TO PAY FOR PARKING WHEN STAYING AT THIS HOTEL AND NO MICRWAVE NO REF NOTHING BUT A BED FOR THE PRICE IT WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL AND THE ROOMS ARE SO LITTLE THAT YOU CAN ONLY SIT ON THE BED. THE WALLS SO THIN THAT YOU CAN HEAR AND KNOW WHAT YOUR NEIGHBORS ARE SAYING AND DOING. IF YOU WANTED TO DO ANY EXCISE OR ANYTHING YOU HAD TO GO ACROSS THE STREET TO THE BEST WESTERN AND DO IT. NO BREAKFEST NO NOTHING IN THIS HOTEL. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS ONE AGAIN. VERY UPSET OF WHAT WE HAD TO GO THROUGH.
I was in San Francisco over this past weekend for my best friend's wedding. I made my travel reservations kind of at the last minute as I wasn't sure I would be able to attend or not. In booking my hotel at the last minute, my choices were somewhat slim due to a national realtors convention in town. I found the Good Hotel as one of the choices and read the reviews of many visitors and many were very positive. Overall I was very happy with my choice. As a boutique hotel that bills itself as environmentally conscious and eco-friendly, it doesn't have many of the frills of many bigger chain hotels. But the rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a good place to stay in SF and on a budget stay at the Good Hotel and no where else!
it was a small room nd mosquitoes coming out of vent in the bathroom.tv wasnt a flatscreen not as we saw in the website.
Wont wow you, and not in a nice part of town. But it did the trick.
