The property was exactly as advertised on VRBO, with the added bonus of being dog-friendly! The owners were incredibly responsive to our questions, such as confirming charcoal availability for the grill and locating the living room fireplace remote. We easily picked up charcoal at the HEB Plus in town—a quick 15-min drive—and found the remote right on the table once they pointed it out. The owners provided a detailed PDF brochure of the rental, perfect for someone like me who loves to research ahead of time. The pet policy allowed for two dogs up to 50lbs; our two pups were well within the limit. For this trip, we opted for the smaller of the two rentals since it was just the two of us and our dogs, but we are eyeing the property with the arcade room for a future group visit. The rental is packed with every amenity you could need:Kitchen: Oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher & all necessary cookware you could think ofComfort: A/CHeat, ceiling fans & a very comfortable bed (also bunk beds & a couch bed--did not use since it was only 2 of us)Tech: Numerous Smart TVs, reliable WIFI (perfect for checking in on work) & numerous charging portsOutdoors: Hot tub, grill, fire pit, basketball court & plenty of gated, private acreage to exploreConvenience: blow dryer, desk, iron, washer/dryerThis was truly a home away from home. Close enough to town for supplies & sightseeing, yet private enough to totally zone out & relax. Thanks for a wonderful stay—we can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay in The Barn Haus during our visit to the hill country! The property is just a nice as the photos and it was such a great layout with everything you need and more. The backyard was spacious and the basketball court was a great bonus so my son could shoot a few hoops w/ my husband to wind down at the end of the day! The location was a highlight as well… The house is a fast and direct drive into town, but tucked far enough away to enjoy the peace and calm away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Everything was so well thought out and we loved our stay and will definitely stay here again when we come into town! Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Our stay was absolutely amazing at the Barn Haus. The hot tub did not disappoint. The children loved the outdoor games. They were also impressed w the bunk bed set up w their own TVs and night lights! Kevin and Audrey were awesome checking in making sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay. This is our second stay on the property but our first in the Barn Haus. The house was immaculately clean. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. We really enjoyed the privacy of the outdoor space. My husband will tease me for this but, I was really impressed with the construction of the stairs. They were easy to go up and down and were very well lit at night. They also had additional gripping to ensure you didn’t lose your footing. The owners have really thought of everything! The property would be fantastic to have a multi family gathering because the houses are close but still allow everyone to have their own space when needed. Overall we had a great time!

The place was great. The two downfalls I would say would be how close they are to the other VRBO on the property and the permanent residence. But I will say, we were not bothered and did not see the neighbors often. The other thing was the couch looked dirty. I am not sure if it was the coloring but it was light colored and looked like it could of used a wiping.

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway in Hill Country and came across the property. As we were traveling with our 2 dogs it was a little difficult finding a property that fit our needs. My wife found the Barn Haus and it was perfect. It is unique as it is the top of a barn that was built out and it was great. The owners really did a great job. Very comfortable and well done. The property was just outside Boerne and it's a great place. The backyard is fenced which was great for our dogs to run around in. There's a hot tub which we may try next time, August heat and hot tub didn't go well for me. There's a grill, darts, and cornhole in the yard. The yard is also lit up nicely and the fencing in the back is wire to allow you to see some deer and wildlife. Check in was easy and the property is gated. The owners were wonderful. This was our first trip to Boerne and we loved the town. We will be back!

Kevin has an incredible set up at the Barn Haus in the beautiful hill country! We had the absolute best time. Everything is so thoughtfully designed with everything you could possibly need as well as EVERYTHING labeled which was so helpful. We really enjoyed the property. We hung out in the backyard, enjoyed the hot tub, and played a couple of rounds of basketball. It was the best time, and we will definitely return. Thank you for the best stay!

The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and the location was close to everything we wanted to do and visit (wineries, elephants, relatives in Kerrville). The hot tub was also an added bonus! I recommend staying here to anyone!

Phenomenal Property

The Barn Haus is a phenomenal property! Everything is clean and well put together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal! Our kids loved the bunk beds and the king bed was comfortable. The area is remotes and VERY safe! Highly recommend for families!
