The hotel is on a large property and plenty of walking around space available. Good Breakfast. Rooms Clean. Large Swimming pool. Friendly Staff. There are two Sections of the hotel. One older section and a larger tower building next to the river. There is a farmers style market on the property. Internet works well. Mini bar in the rooms.
A great place to relax, away from the hectic of the city, not far from Bangkok itself. Surround yourself with nature and the Thai experience in this resort. Excellent food with fruits and vegetables from organic sources. As I was fasting for Ramadan during that time, they manage to arrange breakfast and serve to my room before the kitchen close at night, what a great sevice. The room itself is nice and clean, with a great view of the river. Soaps and shampoos in the room are from natural products, and available for purchase at the hotel's gift shop.
The hotel has large room. Food is thai organic dishes. However it is hideaway from city. Good if you need to be quiet except when they cater meeting group. Pool is large and they provide family activities life local handicrafts, bicycle.
If you are looking for an over 75% organic hotel in Thailand, you may want to check this out! Pretty much all the food including, fruits, juices, most ingredients.. It was my first time to come across ‘ORGANIC SUGAR’ not unprocessed sugar. The rooms are quite spacious as well. The pool view was quite lovely. It’s great for relaxed business strategy meetings and team building events as there’s not much outside the hotel!!
Pure Nature and River just an hour away from Bangkok. This peaceful Thai style resort offers the best cuisine (from their organic sources), the best service and all its atmosphere. Breakfast was fantastic with their varieties of food plus a stunning river view.
Spacious room with balcony that over looked the river and dense cover of trees. The manager, Chris, is very much into making organic soaps, and sprays etc, and has an "allotment" of sorts across the river, where they grow some of their own food and fruit organically. He is very knowledgeable about his surroundings. A lovely outdoor pool with sunbeds and towels is available.
It's a good hotel outside the noise and hustle bustle of Bangkok city. No nearest or adjoining markets. Ideal for official proses like meetings and conferences. Buffet breakfast is nice but there is almost nothing for a vegetarian. Hotel management should make some extra efforts for it. Hotel WiFi is excellent. The beautiful huge garden and immense space for jogging/walking makes it more specious. I enjoyed my 5 days stay.
I've been there last weekends, spend a day trip in Pathom Organic Farm, pick up some fresh veggies, eggs and yes! I and my friends have to cook for lunch and that's truely amazing! Haha...we loved it so much! The room is lovely, I hope to come back and spend my lazy day along the river. Pathom Spa is my next wishlist, I bought jasmine rice body scrub which I really love its texture and scent, and that reminds me to the lovely moment I was there.
Overall stay was good. Effortless check-in and check-out as the receptionist could understand English well enough. The room was very spacious with a balcony facing the swimming pool. However, sometimes if you leave the balcony door open, you'll get the waft of a farm nearby. When I enquired about it, I was told that there's a pig farm nearby. You won't get it when the door is closed. I love the toiletries, especially the hand soap,& shower cream provided. They smelt lovely. The hotel doesn't provide a shaver or body lotion though. You'll also have to call up housekeeping to get an iron and the ironing board. The housekeeping staff don't really speak good English, but they got it delivered to our room without delay. The internet connection in the room can be lagging especially at night, most likely when many guests are using it. It worked very well in the afternoon. The hotel also has a good spread for breakfast. I enjoyed the fresh juices and the rice cakes were just divine. We were there over the King's Birthday weekend holiday, so it became rather crowded with families over the weekend. On the weekdays before that, it was very peaceful, even around the hotel grounds. Sampran Riverside is a good place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Sampran is suited for groups/team events, if you are going here with your family please note that you have to book activities such as cooking class, river tour, farm tour 3 to 7 (cooking class) days in advance. We didn’t know about this regulation (no mail/message was sent to us with this information), so when we arrived we asked for all the activities that we could do and all they came up with was the Spa and handcrafting club. The food in the hotel is ok, nothing fancy, you don’t really know whether it is actually organic what you eat, since not all the food comes from the farm. Furthermore the prices are for Thai standards absurdly high. We had our best dinner at the cafeteria, traditional Thai nothing fancy but at least good quality and a normal size portion (portion in other restaurants are small/kids size). Also we were very curious how they made everything so ecological, since they still use plastic water bottles etc. They laughed about it and told us that all the bottles will be replaced in the future. The staff speaks ok English (reception is fine, restaurant not), but are not helpful at all in arranging activities for their guests. To us they didn’t show a sign of hospitality which we did expect since all the reviews told us so. The view and surrounding are beatiful! Which was lovely. The rooms are outdated, but fine.
