Great location, 3 minutes to main station and 15 minutes to city centre. Rooms are extremely spacious for family of 2 adults and 2 kids and that was the main reason to choose this hotel. Hotel is generally very old and staff don’t seem to care!! Arrived at 2:40pm and the first thing i was told they need to check if the room was ready or not instead of welcoming us with a smile!!! We got the room right away and i was then asked to pay 150 Euro as a deposit even though my room+ Breakfast was pre paid !!!! I only left 50 Euro and got back 41 euro upon check out as they deduct a city tax ??? Breakfast is average and not worth it if not included in the rate Great choice for family’s wants somewhere clean to sleep and spend most of the day outside. To hotel management:- Staff need to smile a bit more and this will not cost anything!!
Our family stayed in this hotel for 5 days during our stay in Salzburg, we love our room & our son was so sad to leave the place. We had a lovely memory about it. Lots of pictures. Staffs are accommodating & nice. Although no parking in the hotel but found a parking just a few steps away. Very convenient place to stay & to go around Salzburg.
Lovely spacious rooms, very clean and modern. King size bed the size of a tennis court!!! The bathroom needs a separate shower with an extractor fan though. The hotel was fabulous to take about 300 people at very short notice due to the plane cancellations. The dinner provided was a buffet style which only was sufficient for about 100 people. The food was quite poor quality for this style of hotel. Breakfast was again buffet with full English on offer as well as local produce, very enjoyable.
Booked this hotel via Miles and More page. We’re immediately upgraded to a business class room with an access to a business lounge. It has the spacious rooms and nice spa. Staff are friendly. Very recommend.
The hotel looks very modern and nice from outside too cause the big glass walls. After we got the keys and went up to our floor we realized that our room is in a separate part and floor for business guests. The room is great with the big and very comfortable bed and small "livingroom inspired" corner for sitting and drinking a wine and talking before sleep. On this floor you can find a business longe too wich is open all day long with small snack and great Austrian wine. Yesterday we made the reservation only for 1 night but today in the morning we decided to prolong it till tomorrow! Great value for money. I can fully recommend this hotel!
Dropped my rucksack off at the Hotel at 1.50pm as my room wasn't ready and I returned at 7.30pm as I had an engagement with the beautiful city of Salzburg. I had just travelled from Vienna by train and the train station was just a stone's throw away from the Train Station - how convenient! After my hours of walking around the old city of Salzburg and remembering lots of Sound Of Music songs, I retired to the Hotel. I decided to have a swim and sauna. Swimming Pool small but welcoming! The Sauna was a nice and relaxing too! These features are free and that was a bonus! My room was warm, lots of hot water, only 2 English Channels which was a a shame...I slept very well! The Pillows are toooo soft for my liking. My head sank! Breakfast was sufficient, quite a bit to choose from, but could be a bit better i.e herring available but no smoked salmon.. I felt the Waiters are at Breakfast on the slow side and I wasn't acknowledged when I was expecting Coffee, so I asked..Then for a second serving I just helped myself from a waiters table. Check-out was speedy, although the Trainee Receptionist needs to smile! I was going to give this Hotel as Very Good, but an Excellent is in order because of the great price I paid, the free leisure facilities, it snowed! and the so convenient location and the nice breakfast. I would stay again as I love Salzburg and place this city as one of my Top 10 Cities in the World! Thank you!
Was just fantastic holiday awesome service and really care as always we are group of friends and we always feel like home ❤️ thank you really for everything we come again as always we want you the same for the next year but we are sure every year is more beautiful than the last 👌👌👌
It was my third time in a Wyndham, the second in the Salzburg one and all three stays have been disappointing. On their website they promote posh minimalistic rooms with hardwood floors and lovely interior but that's obviously the handful of executive suites. I (every time) got an old room with filthy carpets and curtains, an old bathroom and literally two power extentions in the whole room. Everything was old and worn down, basic and showed the neglect of hotels who don't have to care about cleanliness or service because of their perfect location. I called in before my arrival to ask if there will be a Nespresso Machine in my room - as shown on the internet - and was told 'of course!, there's one in every room!', but still ended up with only a dirty water kettle that did not really 'work' with the Nespresso capsules I brought with me. In the bathroom there was (and still is - I am writing from my room) hair sticking not only to the walls but even the ceiling, old, dried out shower gel on the tiles, since two days I am getting bathroom carpets as towels, the cleaning ladies did not only leave their dirty cloths on my desk but (as I could tell from the tissue I threw into the toilet this morning which was still lurking around when I came back close to midnight) decided not to clean the toilet, which makes sense as the dried out foam from my morning shower also was still clinging onto the bathtub. But besides a not functioning A/C and half used bodylotion, all these other tiny inconveniences are for sure not an issue if you spend your whole time in Salzburg downtown, waltzing over the willows, munching on Salzburger Nockerl and purchasing some Dress-Leathertrousers with matching wool stockings. Unfortunately there is a bunch of people coming here to work and they are not pleased. Not at all. As it was a business trip I could not choose the hotel. If I could I'd never go there again. Writing all this I am aware that hotel cleaning staff is only allowed so much time per room. So they are - I hope- not leaving the rooms half dirty intentionally or because they are lazy. I did not dine there but me and colleagues had drinks at the bar and when we were lucky there was two waiters/barkeepers who kind of tried to make it work, but another one (I already had to endure at my first visit) who just did not want to be there, overwhelmed with more than one order at a time and thoroughly grumpy, no matter how much you thanked or praised him. All in all - unfortunately a Nope. And the cute receptionist that told me at check out that I should have asked for a room with a Nespresso Machine after they gave me the water kettle room should better talk to her colleague who assured me in a second of having that machine in my room.
We stayed here as a family for a few nights as part of a wider holiday. Locationwise it has pros and cons. The immediate area is not particularly attractive and is surrounded by soviet looking apartment blocks. It's about 15-20 minutes walk to the old town. On the up side, it is extremely close to the main station, less than 5 minutes walk. There's also a decent shopping centre across the road. Hotel itself offered quite a large room, but looked a little tired. The restaurant had a fairly limited menu with not much to offer for the kids.
Good afternoon to all who are going to visit this hotel! Do not go there! There are thieves! Steal money from rooms! Be careful!!! I have stolen more than 3500 euros in this hotel. Theft was committed by the hotel staff while we were on a breakfast
