Location: Hotel is 6 minute walk to the train station and not far from the river, but a 15 minute+ walk to most tourist areas. If you have several nights in Salzburg, then better to stay closer to the old town. If you are on a short visit by train, this is an ok location, but the location was the only thing going for this hotel. There was nothing great about this hotel, nothing terrible either, but there is a poor level of service and amenities for a hotel with 4 stars and associated price level. The room was ok. The breakfast was good and with lots of choices, but not as good as other hotels we stayed at. Upon arrival, I was asked if we wanted a better room. I thought we were being given an upgrade. Instead I was offered a better room for 10 Euros. There is a charge for coffee during the day, and the room had no amenities whatsoever. There were separate facilities only for groups in the lobby, including water and espresso machines, etc. This hotel is managed like a budget hotel. I would give an ok review if this was a budget hotel, but I paid for what I thought would be a 4 star hotel experience. The hotel has good facilities for business groups, but it clearly does not cater to couples and individual travelers.

Chose this hotel as it has free parking- often it's hard to park in central Salzburg. Hotel had spacious rooms and was very welcoming. It's modern and lacks the character of some of the old town hotels though. We had a lovely stay and tasty breakfast, and a lovely walk (about 25 mins) by the river to the city centre. Would come again.

I stayed at the Park Hotel for 8 nights in August 2017. The grounds, the rooms, restaurant and staff are exceptional. The hotel is a 10 minute walk I go town for sightseeing and shopping, the hotel is right around the corner from the central train and bus station. 20 minute drive to the airport. My room was very comfortable, the hotel has a fitness and sauna and offers massage services. My next trip to Salzburg I will be staying here again.

We found the hotel comfortable and friendly. The staff were helpful. The hotel is just out of the hustle and bustle of the town centre with a beautiful 10 minute walk along the river to the Mirabell Gardens. Breakfast was good with gluten free options available.

Stayed 3 nights during the weekend, and everything was A-okay. The breakfast was nice, and the room were fine with good beds. Location is a bit off, but the price is also a bit lower, so that seems fair. There is a nice sauna and fitness area in the basement, but you'll have to ask them to turn it on the sauna if you want to use it, as it is otherwise turned off during the day. No clothes allowed in sauna.

I had a lovely stay here. Room was clean, cozy, comfortable, and had a sweet little balcony overlooking a soothing park grounds. Price was right, and the breakfast was excellent with an abundance of variety. Service was jovial. Check in and out speedy. I would happily return.

It was wonderful hotel. Good location(about 7-8min from station and located at calm place), room is clean and nice design, balcony is relaxing. hotel atmosphere is elegant, staff is kind, morning buffet is tasty good and complimentary. First of all accommodation fee is reasonable though such a service rendered. I'm really satisfied what stayed this hotel.

We had a great 3-night stay here recently (Dec 2016 - group of friends). As others have noted this isn't right in the centre of town but it is very close to plenty of transport links to get you wherever you want to go. It is a 6-7 minute walk to the main railway station which has several bus routes running past it (including at least 2 that go to the airport) (we arrived by train from Vienna but left by air so suited us very well indeed). The buses are modern, clean and frequent so no real disincentives to using them. If you wanted to walk would take about 25-30 minutes to the old centre. Buying the excellent Salzburg card gives free use of all transport in the city as well as to many of the major attractions so this may be worthwhile for you (easily paid for itself over our 3-day visit). Hotel was very pleasant; modern bright styling with eye-catching artworks and plenty of light. Rooms are equally brightly decorated (yellow featured quite a bit in ours). Room had separate toilet and shower rooms (no bathtub in ours). Shower was dual-head style with plenty of power to the water flow. Room cleanliness was good and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was good. All the usual stuff but it was fresh, plentiful and there was sufficient variety Staff were excellent - really friendly and helpful throughout (both front desk, bar and breakfast room). Would have no hesitation in staying here again.

The hotel is located close to the train station which is a little away from the historical city center. The staff are friendly and the reception services were satisfactory. The restaurants serve for all standard needs. Free Internet increases satisfaction. The rooms are small, cold, clean and without amenities. You need to ask for the minibar and towels which are not placed in the room. I suggest for short stays for business and single stays.

We only stayed for one night, but loved the hotel. Peaceful hotel. Excellent service, the best we had during our 5 night trip. Free parking and eventhough a bit outside fro the center, free bicyckles, which we borrowed and enjoyed the city.
