They actually upgraded me to a suite so happy about that. However wifi is weak. So no video streaming or any videos work. That can be very expensive if you go off wifi to get it. But overall good value.

The hotel was ideally located for the activities we had planned. The rate we paid per night was excellent. The room was large and very clean. The only drawback was the bathtub. It was a large, deep soaking tub which was a challenge for me to get in and out of.

Great location, near to the center through the tunnel. Clean. Comfortable bed. Large noisy fan instead of A/C. July 16, 2015 temperature was 32C at 5:00PM and a little low during the night. Not 4 stars hotel!

Very nice location close to the historical center. There are actually 2 buildings across the street. We have got a nice upgrade to the top floor with a huge terrace (building across the street from reception). That was really nice. The staff has also helped us find a camera we left in the city.

Good value for the money, convenient parking if you drive there

I was drawn to this hotel simply from the pictures. It seemed like a hip, boutique style hotels just a couple of minutes from the middle of Old Salzburg. However, the room I ended up with looked NOTHING like the photos online. This is a SERIOUS problem. Apparently, there are only a couple of rooms that look like this. My room was very 1987 in appearance, dingy and drab. The carpet was blood red. The mattress had seen better days and there were even questionable stains on the bed platform. The bathroom was also questionable (and there was a fridge by the toilet). This is not a 4-star establishment. By any stretch. It is like an American roadside motel. Staff was friendly though and breakfast was good (and properly greasy eggs and bacon). As for value, it is relatively cheap for Salzburg. One last thing - the tunnel you walk through is a little dodgy at night. Definitely felt uncomfortable walking alone through it and I'm a 220# man.

The room turned out to be better than expected with a wrap around balcony and a great location. just walk thru the tunnel/mountian and you were in the action!

On a motorcycle tour of Europe, my requirements are not many, but specific. Clean rooms, amenable staff, good location, wireless that works, and value for the money. This hotel met all of these expectations, plus an excellent breakfast well served. I especially liked the friendly staff.

This hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the old historic Salzburg area, making it an ideal location.

This is a great hotel. It is modern and the room was very nice. The location is excellent: it is not in the middle of the overly busy old town, but only 5 minutes away -- just walk through the nearby tunnel that runs through the mountain and you are there. The staff was very nice. The room was clean, attractive, and well equipped. We received a complementary glass of sparkling wine. What else could we need?
