Worked out very well. A little far from old city Blah, blah, blah

Overall a great hotel. They offer free parking but the lot is small so you may have to use a nearby parking garage that is pretty cheap. Train and bus station is 2-3 minutes walk away and is very convenient. The room is basic but elegant. Other reviews have commented that there are two curtains to cover three windows which is true, but every window has a rolladen which is more than sufficient to block light from coming through. The room has a interactive tablet you can use as a concierge or just to play games. The breakfast that was included in our room rate was delicious and well worth it. The only real downside to the hotel is we could hear traffic and even people yelling on the street at night. Overall the noise didn't keep us awake for long and we had a great time there.

We had a great time and the staff was friendly and tried hard to accommodate us in English. Every question we asked they answered. Even when my wife got sick they asked about her and if I needed anything. Would definitely stay there again.

Mom and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good and substantial as well. We appreciated being able to borrow movies from the front desk (we watched The Sound of Music the night before our tour of related sites). The hotel is a short walk from the train station, which was good in that regard. However, there weren't many other places near the hotel that we wanted to walk to. The train station is also the main bus hub and we were able to ride to the places we wanted to see, which were mainly the old part of the city under the fort and some things on the opposite end of Mirabelle Palace. We got our room for a good price, were happy with our room and the hotel in general. We would stay there again.

Enjoyed 2 rooms for family of 7 breakfast buffet was nice but a little cramped... staff spoke english and was helpful.

nice hotel, wish it were closer to historic Salzburg.

The hotel is very convenient to the train station and the river. The rooms were clean, comfortable and ready when we arrived. The hotel is on a busier street but the noise level didn't seem to be an issue once you closed the windows. The hotel staff provided maps and recommendations and spoke excellent english. I would stay here again.

If traveling by train, this hotel is very good for getting there by foot with luggage. Good luggage lockers at the train station. It's a good walking distance to the old town but fairly flat. Best eating and sitting outside to drink and enjoy the scenery is in the very old part of town. Buffett breakfast was an excellent variety of foods and drinks. Ask for a quiet room off of the street and make sure the air works or windows can be opened without a lot of street and night noise. Our room was VERY noisy all night! (right off the street side)

Was a wonderful experience. Within a 10 minute walk to the downtown area and local restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing! All you can eat traditional European breakfast (lunch meat, cheese, bread, cereal, eggs, etc.).

Our room in the annex was newly renovated, clean, and quiet. The desk clerk refused to give us a 2nd room card, making it complicated for one to go across the street to breakfast in the hotel. The bathtub/shower was a death trap, high and difficult to enter and exit. The hand hold was poorly placed. Don't risk this if you are not well co-ordinated. The breakfast buffet included in the price was excellent.

Dear Anonymous, thank you for staying with us and for your review. It is just a short walk from the hotel to the train station. From there all busses run to the old town. Another possibility is to walk along the river, which is recommended because of the view direction to the old town. We thank you for your time and are looking forward to welcoming you again sometime. Best regards from Salzburg

Dear Mr. Joe. F.! We really appreciate that you took the time to share your impressions about your stay with us. We are very happy, you have enjoyed your stay with us. Concerning the room I have already noted down that you would like to have a room facing the garden side, which are located more quietly, next time. We are looking forward to welcoming you on your next trip to Salzburg! Best regards
