It's a great hotel and great location as well... We were looking for a place to stay for the night since our flight was cancelled and this option was well priced and close enough to the airport for a easy ride!

This hotel is right in the heart of SLC with a beautiful view of the capitol and Temple Square. Walking distance to great shopping and food. The hotel staff was beyond accommodating and friendly! They were helpful when I needed it and gave tidbits of history along the way. The room was comfortable and spacious. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the poor water pressure in the shower, but overall that was minor. Would definitely stay here again.

It’s a little small but I like how there’s a microwave and coffee machine in there (even though it’s pretty dirty inside). The check in was a little cold but we got what we need. Nice complementary shuttle service to and from the airport.

I called from the airport and was told to go to door 10 and it would be 25 minutes. I went out at door ten in 5 minutes, waited 20 more looking at every van then called again and was told it would be 45 minutes more because the driver missed me. Took a taxi. I won’t be back to the plaza

I've stayed at this hotel at least half a dozen times in the last 10 years. It is consistently clean and well maintained. There is a very upscale shopping district across the street with restaurants. The light rail stops in front of the hotel. The symphony and opera are across the street as well as the LDS Temple. You can see the State Capitol Building to the north. The basketball arena is approximately 2 blocks away and another shopping district is just beyond that with lots more restaurants. This is just about the best downtown location at a reasonable price. I used to live in the Salt Lake area and I know my way around, but if I didn't, I'd want to be here. Very convenient.

We wanted to enjoy a weekend getaway and chose the Plaza. The location is perfect. It is near the City Creek Mall, the Gateway Mall and all of the other "sites" in downtown Salt Lake City. The Trax (light rail) stop is directly in front of the hotel. You can ride the Trax for free throughout the downtown area or, for a fee, can travel throughout the Salt Lake Valley. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to greet us and answer our questions.

I stayed at the Plaza hotel for 5 days and was mostly pleased with my stay. My only concern was that the rooms felt dated. There was nothing wrong with the rooms but the fixtures feel somewhat out of date. Also please get rid of the third party remotes, they do not work consistently.

The hotel was decent! Super close to City Creek and Temple Square. Hotel staff was super friendly. The room though was just okay. Bathroom was pretty small. One queen bed was broken. It wasmy luxurious by any means but it was a nice stay!

This hotel Located in centre of SLC offers bert hood accomodations parking at reasonabke price and a lot of shopping and reasturant in walkin distance.

Can't beat this location. Close to food in the City Creek Mall and right next door to Temple Square if you're there to do Mormon touristy things.

Great location, nice view from the room, reasonable size. Very pleasant, not modern, room can use some updates - TV sucked, popcorn ceiling needs to go, but quite and in a center of everything. Restaurant is great for breakfast. I also liked coffee and refrigerator in a room. Staff is very helpful, airport shuttle is very reliable. Pool is really small, but its great to take a dip after walking or just spend some time in a morning before heading off. If you have small kids - they will have a blast. I booked it with 15% coupon and definitely stay again if the price is good.

It to short time to visit in this city. Will back next trip stay more time. Just stop over pass to Yellow Stone. Thanks!

Great hotel, not the newest hotel, but it's very clean and had great staff. There is an airport shuttle that was so helpful. And the have a parlor room with games and a TV, so when you're waiting for your ride you have something to do. Also a small shop that had more local trinkets than the actual gift shop down the street. Great hotel for the price.

I was in Salt Lake city for work related conference at the Kelvin Rampton Convention center, so chose the Salt Lake Plaza Hotel. I took the Trax green-line train from the airport and it drops you right in front of the Plaza Hotel. The convention center, the city Creek mall and the magnificent Temple are directly opposite the Plaza which eliminated the need for transportation. Best of all, the view of the mountain from 11th floor was priceless.

This hotel is perfect if you want to be close to Temple Square (across the street) and close to shopping (City Creek Mall also across the street). They have a nominal fee for secure, covered parking. Front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable .The view from our room was beautiful, especially at night. Plenty of restaurants close by. If you need to get to the SLC airport, they have a complimentary airport shuttle which makes staying the night prior to departure a lot more fun when you can be downtown.

Semi-easy location unless gps sends you up the wrong way on South Temple then you have to drive a few more blocks before you can make a u-turn. Easy walk to see the sights on the square plus shopping, the restaurant downstairs was good.

I wasn't expecting much from the hotel, and it lived up to that. Rooms were clean, and housekeeping staff friendly. The general staff never seemed to be around, I called the front desk 7 times over the course of an hour and never got a response. When I walked to the desk later it was vacant. The hotel was close to the meeting I was at, which was convenient. The area around the hotel is not the greatest, although seeing as one of the other people I was at the meeting with had someone try to mug him nearby I don't think any of that area is great.

Found dark hairs on bathroom floor :( eeeww) Not much counter space in bathroom for makeup bag ect. Not told at check in it was $8 per night to park sink and shower cold/hot water were backwards

The location was good and staff were very nice. The hotel does not have any facilities though.

Heating/thermostat very loud and not accurate. Very noisy. Facilities very dated. Hallway had dishes that were not picked up for 2 days, not sure where they came from because there is no room service available. Parking structure not connected to hotel, you have to walk down the ramps to the ground floor to get to lobby. I should have paid a few extra dollars to stay at the other hotels nearby.
